I am really stunned by your professional work! As a railfan myself, it is like i died and went to the railway paradise! One of the reasons i love Japan so much!
Totally dig the variety and style of all the rolling stock. It's very modern and yet keeps the classic commuter-line look. Here in Germany they're trying too hard to let the commuter lines look like spaceships.
And Why do Officials of German Bahn don’t learn from Japan and it’s splendid work? Any of them should volunteer over there for at least 6 month- as a “must” !!
railways in japan are about 100 years ahead of what we have in Australia but they still have train guards on the back,i was a guard here for 12 years and it was the best job i ever had. we were abolished due to financial reasons and "modernization" anyway its remarkable how much variety of different rolling stock appears here.....great film!!!.. marty
I agree with you 100%, mate. "Modernisation" is, too often, just a code word for cost cutting. The staff and passengers just have to cop it sweet. There wouldn't be half the problems on public transport if there were still guards on trains and ticket collectors on trams, etc. I lived in Japan for a few years. I got used to trains being clean, safe, and on time. Coming back to Melbourne has left me pretty disillusioned with Australian public transport.
I can understand you very well. We here in Berlin almost have only machines and cameras. No scaffolding, but thugs pushing the people down the stairs or pushing into the trackbed, directly in front of the subway. A lot has changed in a short time. All the best for you.
I don't think you can really time frame the difference in Australian public transport. Tokyo only has this much infrastructure because the city is huge and requires it. In Australia we don't need such long trains or amount of lines. (Though we are starting to). I hate to say this but the new Sydney metro in terms of everything but network size, will be the most advanced metro ever.
@@pwhnckexstflajizdryvombqug9042 We _really_ need high-speed rail along the Brisbane-Melbourne corridor (ie. the bulk of the population). At least Newcastle-Wollongong as a start.
My hair is still standing up. Beautiful! Thank you. You should use your incredible footage and make a mix synchronized with classical music. Guaranteed viral! I have seen a lot of things already in Japan, but you have massive nice video's. Keep up the good work!
Wow! So many trains! And every one of them are so clean! And running with such precision! Japan surely take good care of their travelers and their people when it comes to transportation! USA better take note because our transportation systems are behind the times!!
For rational reasons, such as preventing people from getting on the wrong train, Japanese railroads decided to use a wide variety of colors, but it was fortunate that it later turned out to be more pleasing to people.
If a railway modeller was to create a Japanese themed layout, he/she would not have to 'weather' the rolling stock, such is the pristine appearance of the real thing!! Some lovely camera work as well. Best wishes from UK
Fantastic, I can see why you give the video Rush Hour you even have trains going overhead the main lines.there seems to be a lot of metal work at (pantagraph) each end of the stations.
The busiest I've ever seen is at Nippori Station geographically northwest of JR East Ueno Station. I've seen videos where you can see *SIX* trains, including two Shinkansen, on the tracks at the same time. And that dos not include the Keisei trains going through the elevated Nippori Station.
SuperThewatch fortunately, that station (Hankyu Railway Nakatsu Station) is only serviced by local trains. Local trains are not much crowded as express/rapid/ltd express train

Now imagine if instead of all those rail tracks there'd be freeways of same withs and same amount of people as inside the trains were trying to get to work inside their own cars or trucks with 1.1 passenger per car on average.
I have watched video's of trains, especially passenger, from other nations, but this is what I would expect of Japan: the right of way is clean of trash. Good stuff, Dotaku, and great video of a great nation and their rail system.

OK! lets Go!
