damn this really shows how true their friendships are...even after all the hardships and drama, still they remained on top, and didn't let it ruin their friendships, or sisterhoods, lol. ups and downs, theyre still around!
same w/ me! I saw their movie when i was like 3 and i didnt really undertand it and i had their dolls but I wasnt sooo into them... and now omg i like listen to their music all of the time I
You can now see that Geri very much regrets how she was to the other girls. It's very touching to see her moved to tears. I also remember Jimmy Gulzer saying something along the lines that Mel B and some of the others were constantly cutting Mel C down behind her back. Mel C got the brunt of the ganging up on.
yeah, im glad to see in the last year or two im not alone in thinking that. its been YEARS since i've listened to the radio on a regular basis. everything's the SAME now. there's almost nothing unique now. like you said, some occasional goodies here and there but we really gotta search for the real artists nowadays, but first go through all the manufactured crap before getting to the good stuff.
As far as comments about MelB being a bully. Read her autobiography-she was the one ganged up on by the other girls! Anyway-do you really think mel C would take that stuff easily! I dont think so! She's nice, but not that nice!
@stirwins333 YES! i think everyone looks better now than then (i mean, it was the 90's lol), but Geri is SO beautiful. i fall in love all over again :P
I love the girls way too much for my own good. But then again, yknw what they say, there's no such thing as too much spice. Corny much, I know = ] Documentaries covering them before their fame like this make me love them even more coz as they said, they were never a bunch of the most talented nor beautiful girls but they work really hard to achieve what they have today. Big up to 'em I'd say = ) Spice 4evah!!
@955pokerface i dont think any of them did the 'best' but my opinion of victoria changed after that movie because at first she seemed a bit boring and stuck up but she showed she is just as funny as the other girls.
@ShortySOM Read Mel B's Bio- She got most of the "ganging up on" and called it "playground stuff". I wonder where Mel C got that expression? and who would take Jimmy G.'s statements seriously-talk about a loser. he was trying to get back at Mel B and all the girls after Mel dumped him!
um, no it was not. they themselves adopted it as their motto b/c they had a lot of barriers to push through, like having #1 singles and selling out magazine covers. they said so in the last part. also, just cuz mel b said that does not have anything to do with girl power being made up by management. she was just upset that someone sold those pics and leaked it to the media in the first place. they all knew beforehand she did them.
You have to wonder how these girls really survived those days. Given the fact they were all in their early 20's when the Spice Girls were at the height of their hysteria. I believe Emma had just turned 21 just prior to the world tour. I think I would've fallen apart. Constantly being under media scrutiny, I mean that has to shake you a bit. It's easy to see why most groups who hit it big tend to come apart at the seams. Same thing happened to the Go-Go's and The Bangles. Everything is amplified
So...does David have an eye problem or not coz he seems to be wearing glasses since forever. If he does having eye problem, which I don't think so, how can he play football with (presumably) contact lenses coz contact lenses can easily fall off. By the way, I'm a very big fan of his and glasses or not, he is one of the most gorgoues guys I've ever seen. ;D
Ok I'm gonna do this, and I'm gonna get some backlash for this, and I don't give a damn, but Spice Girls met Nelson Mandela, the Nelson Mandela character was played by Morgan Freeman, hence they met Morgan Freeman lol:)
When I heard about those nude pictures of Geri, their was no concern of me at all. I felt like these paparrazi wants to put their private lifes and then show it to the public eye. I was upset with those rude people. A celebrity is not just a famous person, they have personal lifes too. I supported the Girls from their ups and downs because as a fan you have to care about your childhood heroes.
I love how relaxed they were when meeting Prince Charles, pinching his bum and smothering him in lipstick, I struggle to think of any body who would dare to do that now.
lol no it wasnt, geri was too bossy and controlling as all Leos are ;). and poor mel c had to put up with mel b's behavior. but they've grown up now and know better. they were all just really stressed out and in their early 20s, some just getting out of puberty so it was hard!
i loved spice world! I was in the 3rd grade when it came out and i remember crying when i saw them in concert.
Mel B 😍😍😍
"I remember being mad about it" -_- lol at the way she answered the question.
damn this really shows how true their friendships are...even after all the hardships and drama, still they remained on top, and didn't let it ruin their friendships, or sisterhoods, lol.
ups and downs, theyre still around!
I'm so crazy about them when I was in High school in 97. Reliving my childhood memories.
Mel B is now my favourite after watching this!
spice girls forever love from philippines
they all look gorgeous
OMG I LOVE VIC! - "My Mummy is my best friend" she is so funny! HAHAHA
I love this documentary because they're older and *so* honest, it's refreshing. I love that they don't bullsh*t us. :)
same w/ me! I saw their movie when i was like 3 and i didnt really undertand it and i had their dolls but I wasnt sooo into them... and now omg i like listen to their music all of the time I
OMGGG geri cried!!!! that was so sad and sweet omg !!

"Oh that will be a first!!"-Mel B
"Oh shut it.."-Geri
so funny :-P
You can now see that Geri very much regrets how she was to the other girls. It's very touching to see her moved to tears. I also remember Jimmy Gulzer saying something along the lines that Mel B and some of the others were constantly cutting Mel C down behind her back. Mel C got the brunt of the ganging up on.
i love them. victoria seems smart :

i just have to get that dvd! they should have thought of that while on tour ... they could get seriously paid alot 4 that
i love mel c
yeah, im glad to see in the last year or two im not alone in thinking that. its been YEARS since i've listened to the radio on a regular basis. everything's the SAME now. there's almost nothing unique now. like you said, some occasional goodies here and there but we really gotta search for the real artists nowadays, but first go through all the manufactured crap before getting to the good stuff.

@ShortySOM for the way she treated her during the time of the Spice Girls
You missed out!! I when 8/9 at the time it was GREAT fun, me and all my friends would pretend we where them and collect all their stuff haha
i love it =)
The Spice Girls are awesome,
Did anyone else cry when they broke up?
Where's 8:56 from?
HAHA same here! I'm 19 now and back then we were obesessed. I was always Baby Spice.
@justwatching190 If you read her book, you'll see in the opening statements, she apologies to Mel C

haha init, straight forward and to the point.
i agree 100%
Amen
@jhose8t yes they are! their interviews entertain me the most! :)
LOL, Mandela says meeting the spice girls is one of the greatest moments in his life!? He's taking the piss!

@stirwins333 YES! i think everyone looks better now than then (i mean, it was the 90's lol), but Geri is SO beautiful. i fall in love all over again :P

@spicyjosanne YES! screw miley spice girls is where it's at. XD
@955pokerface i dont think any of them did the 'best' but my opinion of victoria changed after that movie because at first she seemed a bit boring and stuck up but she showed she is just as funny as the other girls.
@ShortySOM

sporty gone from a brute to being alright
Victoria did the best in 'Spiceworld' i think becuase she kind of DID act, like a parody of what people would think of her.
um, no it was not. they themselves adopted it as their motto b/c they had a lot of barriers to push through, like having #1 singles and selling out magazine covers. they said so in the last part. also, just cuz mel b said that does not have anything to do with girl power being made up by management. she was just upset that someone sold those pics and leaked it to the media in the first place. they all knew beforehand she did them.
which one?
SPICE IN BRAZIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ahaha i love how Mel B stole toilet paper and stones from Nelson Mandela's house :P
wow.. =^_^= nice
doolaly :P

LOL! I loved that movie! Too silly!
You know, Geri really is very insecure. I think she hurt herself the most.
So...does David have an eye problem or not coz he seems to be wearing glasses since forever. If he does having eye problem, which I don't think so, how can he play football with (presumably) contact lenses coz contact lenses can easily fall off. @vickymarie000 That hurts, I like miley and the spice girls
Introduce my little cousin Shanise to the best girl group of all time........so long Miley
Ok I'm gonna do this, and I'm gonna get some backlash for this, and I don't give a damn, but Spice Girls met Nelson Mandela, the Nelson Mandela character was played by Morgan Freeman, hence they met Morgan Freeman lol:)
Oh my... Geri's ego has always been bigger than the SG phenomenon.
David Beckham looks so different back then, way nicer!
When I heard about those nude pictures of Geri, their was no concern of me at all. I felt like these paparrazi wants to put their private lifes and then show it to the public eye. they are like all moms now....
Each loo roll has 1026 squares. So the spice girls had 1026 makeup artists. actually yes i can see that.
ahn?
I love how relaxed they were when meeting Prince Charles, pinching his bum and smothering him in lipstick, I struggle to think of any body who would dare to do that now.
I think the Spice Girls all secretly hated each other...
or at least did each others heads in, a lot.
@vickymarie000 ok fine
I feel sorry for Geri (Ginger) lol she's the only member who was named after her appearance. Not because of her personality xD
emma wasn't named for her personality either - she was named baby because she was the youngest in the group
And Who Do You Think You Are. Meh, their whole album was pretty big in general, all of their singles were pretty big.
Throughout the doco I can't help but get this feeling that Victoria just doesn't have warm feelings towards Geri. Is it just me?
i know haha
aw mel b and geri were the bullies of the group haha but i guess it'd be obvious since they had the strongest opinions
lol no it wasnt, geri was too bossy and controlling as all Leos are ;). and poor mel c had to put up with mel b's behavior. but they've grown up now and know better. they were all just really stressed out and in their early 20s, some just getting out of puberty so it was hard!
@StrickenWithFear only spice girls are better than miley ;-)
I never really liked Mel B or Geri. They both seemed kind of bossy and full of self-importance.
apart from mel c ;)
The BLACK girl turned WHITE. WTF How did that happen? ODD.
get a job!! please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
chubby aka pregnant. but whatever.
I loved them but... SpiceWorld the Movie is the WORST movie EVERRRRRRR!!!
new favorite world: doolally :-) Thank Em!
damn i didnt know that scary spice sounds like shrek!!
