elvis316 He also lost about 600 on it in that space of time and may have spent a long time saving for it. He was really attached and choked at the fact he had to sell it but not to the extent where he was delusional on the buyer having to have some room to make a profit. Feel for the guy
I would have gave him that $400 and taken that to the house. I bet thats a big problem with running a business like that. All of a sudden you need a Les Paul.
The accordion guy was actually a great person. Knew exactly how much he was going to get for it and was an excellent forthcoming musician *mad respect*
CanadianGarage Congratulations. Pete has some of the best content in this space. He's a huge inspiration for all of us. Most of the content creators sell in specific niches I like Pete because he sells all kinds of stuff and has a store. Something I aspire to do someday.
You guys obviously dont know how a business works. It isnt a charity. If you start feeling bad for people you’ll get burnt. Remember these guys are trying to get the best price possible just like you are, and you cant trust everyone. Trade is always equal, he didnt force him to pay $400.
Yeah he said he played in the restaurants four nights a week with it so you know he was attached to it but as a musician i can guarantee you he has more than just the one he sold lol
Yeah he said he played in the restaurants four nights a week with it so you know he was attached to it but as a musician i can guarantee you he has more than just the one he sold lol
He keeps saying it's brand new, BUT he also said he played it for a few hours. His definition of brand new would more accurately be described as slightly used. Plus, it's a model behind.
megs buy443 : Same here! I played the accordion as a kid. I remember my father bringing home one that was almost as big as me with tons of buttons! It was a monster!
Vicky was so cute, looked a little embarrassed she got a gift, she deserves one! Funny, she was looking for chocolate! The old gent with the accordion, so sweet, kind of sad. Knowing family will just dump his treasures, maybe there’s hope if they see this, see his things are worth sentimental and monetary value so someone else can enjoy! (If he comes back, maybe hint at that?) I’m trying so hard to not let that happen with my mothers things, but the vultures have already started their trade against me... family drama sucks it! Does Ruby love Milo? Or want to be/ thinks she’s a kitty? Love them both! 😘🦇⚡️Jet
Very nice of you to give that man $150 for his accordion. His kids would probably donate it to Goodwill when he passes, he is right. Always see them there!
I love the accordion guy. Reminded me of my late father who loved to play accordion among many other instruments, and those two tunes were among those he played as well.
This has always been my dream job! Would LOVE to open up a pawn shop! I have always since I was a kid, loved going to fle markets and pawn shops to find something way more cool then you can buy at Walmart lol. I'm 31 and think I'm finally going to look into it since I have to find a new job/a fresh start in life.
If what is put out online is true, bricks and mortar shops are fading out. There are people who prefer a hands-on approach to buying things, so still prefer shops, but as younger generations come along who spend a large portion of their day on their smartphone, buying (or selling) online will be the norm for them, and the idea of walking around shops, sometimes not finding what you are looking for, will seem a bit weird. So...(although you probably already know this), set up your pawn shop online. Start today.
Joy Cool not really. Low balling means going less than 1/4 of actual market value. Pete's got to make money too. Remember that when he sells it for 700, BEFORE shipping, he's at 609... $91 in fees. And that's with free shipping. And something like this needs to be insured, signature confirmation, etc. He's close to 550 or even less with shipping. Making ~$120 on a $700 might sound great but that's a lot of $$ to tie up for such low return.
Ahhhh. That's tough for both guys. Guitars prices are all over the place unless you've got something really rare. Beautiful Les Paul, but there's so many out there. That was a little lowball but yeah, trying to sell online involves lots of fees, shipping, etc. The owner could try on his own but like he said, all the running around, haggling, he's not gonna get much more
Hey Peter ! Would love to send you guys something. Need to know what era music everyone likes ? I️ know you like the 70’s what about the rest of the crew? Let me know and I’ll get it out to you !!
I gotta comment on “Victoria or Vicky”. What really matters is: What did her mother name her? (Or, prefer) Just an “old-fashioned” perspective Great vids

you can tell he takes his job seriously as a business owner and the other two just joke around a little bit when they're wrong the man always carries the baggage🙉
BarefootIguana I think it was the whole back and forth about $450 or $400 The title of the video says a good argument is like a tennis match ....... boring

I wonder how many people would take $20 away from their family to give it to a stranger because they looked like they needed it? I’m totally not trying to pick at anyone saying “give the guy $420.00.” I’m just saying this guy makes choices like this all day long. This business supports the needs and wants of his family, friends and coworkers. He’s provided jobs and revenue to society he knows and doesn’t know. And he seems pretty fair in the way he makes deals. I don’t know if he could honestly share his retrospective thoughts on the guitar deal. But I’d definitely enjoy hearing if he liked the deal he made and why. I know if I walked in to buy that guitar, I’d want to pay for it as a new like condition but used. If that makes sense lol. I’m a pretty generous person so I may have done 420. I don’t know though because running business is tricky especially if you’re on camera. The standards you set often seep into other deals. My fav business ran for 13 years before I had to let it go for health failure. I admire the openness of the way he does business. I’m guessing guitar guy felt good enough about the deal that he didn’t even want to call other places to see if he could bump the number up to 420... and to me, that says something about how he felt about the offer. Just one lowly opinion, that doesn’t really matter, from an outsider’s perspective, clear across the country 😉 ~Sheeara, Alaska
I know pawn shops are in it to win, but they all have the same, oh, I might get stuck with it, or if it was blue instead of brown, or this is just going to sit in my shop. I don't understand why folks don't market their items rather than take a beating on them.
Hi, those mustard colored plates that are behind that globe you showed... what is the brand? And how much for the set? Hope this post is allowed. Thanks..
It's kind of sad watching the gentleman selling a guitar because his rent is due and a job fell through. So why would buy a $1000 anything? People have priorities all backwards.
Ebay fee is 3.5 percent for musical instruments plus paypal fee of 2.9 percent plus 75 cents. You were very fair with the $400 offer, I have seen those Tribute models sell for around $550 used on ebay a few times.

Guy - "If I come back in a hour, your offer still stands?"
Parrot - "Yes"
See he agrees 450
I had to rewind that a bunch it made me laugh to hard
Parrot is clearly smarter than the guy.
My heart goes out to the guitar guy. It was obviously really hard for him to let go of that guitar!
He owned for over a month. Sure.

I lost some respect for Piotr when he didnt jump on that^^

"$400 buys a lot of weed"- The final convincing thought of the guitar guy
Nicholas Del Giudice $400 pays a month of rent
It really doesn't though😂
Lmao
Rx Terps You couldn’t get that good of rent living in a bathroom
He was really ramming it hone.
Take that Les Paul to a used guitar shop, you might do a little better.
Dave7777 he would definitely do better at a general music store.
great idea if this video wasn't 3 years old
I would have gave him that $400 and taken that to the house. I bet thats a big problem with running a business like that. All of a sudden you need a Les Paul.
might have? ya for sure
As long as it's not in shite conditions. And not a bad copy. And depends on colour and age.
That accordion sounds sweet. Love the old man: "If I die tomorrow the kids will just throw that shit out." :D
Best part...Ruby "MEOW" 😅
Laura Baumeister right ? Lmao
The accordion guy was actually a great person. Knew exactly how much he was going to get for it and was an excellent forthcoming musician *mad respect*
At his age, (now 2 years older), if he is a forthcoming musician, he'd better get a move on.
This guy is really a whole lot more entertaining than about 70% of the tv shows out there!!!! Does this guy even have an agent????
Because its completely real, its like watching homemade porn, its way bettter than the acting type.
Better yet! No chumlee!!! Pawn stars is good when they dont try to make reality show bits with that moron.
The acordian part was cool. Its always cool to hear people with years of expertise in one area talk about their passion or hobby
Guy must have said "brand new" 14 times
In itself a giveaway that it’s not.
You can smell the "brand new"!
I started selling on ebay last week , got inspiration from your videos !. Actually sold my first item within 3 days.

A “like new” Les Paul tribute doesn’t sell between $600 - $800…more like between $800 and $1000. They are $1200 new and hold their value.
Yeah man. I feel for the guy, he must’ve been in a really tough spot to sell it at that price. Just look at his face when he shook the hand.😢
