I downloaded and tried to start this plane. The blade starts to turn but won't start engine. I did everything correctly. I had to place the plane from the map at 10,000 feet and the wind finally turned the prop and got it running and i flew out back to the runway. It ran fine but it won't start by the regular starter. I tried everything and even made sure it wasn't a failure mode option. So strange.
It's been quite a while since I created the video but I think? I may have followed the advice on the X-plane.org download page for this aircraft.. forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/38418-eco-ercoupe-415c/ and changed the starter torque from 0.300 to 0.320 in Plane Maker. Hope this helps.
Sorry to hear this. I have not had any problem downloading the aircraft. I tried again last night. Try going straight to the XPFR site xpfr.org/index.php?body=aero_accueil&av=65 When you press 'download' a copyright window pops up. Tick the 'I do agree' box and press 'download'. The zip file is 133Mb
@@simmo2sim Wish I could say it worked. The link took me right to where I tried so many times. The fail message says the zip.part file can't be saved because the source file can't be read. It tells me to contact the system administrator. I don't know how.
Nice video, great visuals and audio! Real world Ercoupe pilot here (1948 415-E, check my channel for videos of it). I like this model, but I wish it had animated gear; it looks weird sitting on the fully extended gear on the ground. Upsets an otherwise great visual model. All Ercoupe's are best flown canopy down! The flight model also needs much more drag to be like my aircraft, the real-thing flies like 'a set of keys' when you take the power out, no need for flaps. I cruise at 95mph, base and final at 70mph, 60mph over the numbers. Climbout is 60-70mph (not knots!), with my upgraded 100HP O-200 engine. Saying that, it's also very appreciated as a free model. Wish I could pay to get some more accurate features!
Thanks for your comment James. I'm glad you liked my video. You are right about the gear not deflecting much. I also notice that the wheels don't seem to be attached to anything. I am sure that real world pilots such as yourself can see far more faults than casual simmers would normally worry about. I still love the model though and so I turned one of the 2k textures into 4k and I fly this one a lot (too much time on my hands I guess). Anyway I have looked at your channel and of course I have subscribed. Thanks once again.

I've tried to download this 6 times and it always fails halfway through. Any ideas? Help.
