Another great succinct video from AYP! Loved the tips and especially the last part. Loved how it focused on efficiency and simplicity, where it's obvious gear matters but their passion really brings these videos life. The way bob lights up when he talks about one of his favorite photos, it's like he had awaken from a dream. Lovelovelove AYP.
Do you have any specific videos with Bob talking about the specifics of using different types of lenses and the kind of results you get from each type? That would be super helpful...
Bob, I'm thinking about purchasing the Nikon 28 to 300 and pairing it up with my d500,what do you think? ( This would give me a 42 to 450mm equivalent because of the crop factor!)
I thought in one of the other videos, Bob mentioned the 70-200 and 24-70 as his only 2 preferred lenses. I was delighted then as I'm looking at buying the 70-200, but he didn't mention it in this video?
as he said he rarely uses them! Thanks for watching!

To be precise: he never uses tripods. Because he doesn´t carry one so he doesn´t have a tripod available. What a pity. As he himself admits: he should use tripods more often.
A tip for anyone taking a tripod with them - don't attempt to take it as cabin baggage as the likelihood is that security will refuse to let you take it through. While a tripod isn't listed anywhere that I know of as being banned, security will almost certainly deem it to be a potentially offensive weapon.
Bob is "the man" when it comes to travel photography and has logged a lot of miles with his gear -- have a good look at what's in his bag.
Ver useful suggestion for travel photographers. 🌺🙏

Excellent gear video, thanks👍👍👍
Love your show so soooo much!
Thanks for sharing more from good old Bob. A thumb's up doesn't do it justice. He's a Nikon guy as well.......How far can he go up in my opinion.
yes he really is our hero! However this was shot with Canon 5ds!
Shame on you! (-:
Great insights, especially for commercial work...not walking around Disneyland with that. Thanks for sharing!
the 28-300...who'd have guessed it :D
I can attest to the viability and image quality coming out of the Nikon 28-300mm. I back it up with the Voigtlander Nokton 58mm f/1.4.
👍

those are fantastic lenses that cover a range of shooting that he generally shoots.
Thank you for the prompt reply. Appreciate it. Great tips in these videos, am loving Bob's work!
'Things very rarely disappear completely.'
Does anyone know which ThinkTank bag it is, and if it fits in the overhead on airplanes?
But that big bag doesn't fit 'handluggage' size in the cabin??
Is this bag not too big to take on the plane ?
yes it is, he NEVER checks it

Ced with your last name are you sure you need Bob? ;)
Nice and decent. But where are the tripods?

No speed light?
Could Bob adopt me as his lost son?
What photographer did he say was his biggest influence?
Bill Brandt.
