@@Manufak They have had that same loop in the live show on this song ever since they released it, along with Billys vocal using an Eventide doubler and auto-tune as the effect. still killed it on the lead GTR and bass / drums as always.
@@cmiller6352 Most bands, such as KISS, take a vocal track from a live gig a decade or so ago, but to actually use the ORIGINAL STUDIO VOCAL as they've done here, is a bit.......well, obvious!!🤣🤣🤣
… man, I met the entire band when I worked at Pappadeuax’s (Memorial area of Houston, Texas) where they have their mansions, during my university days, and ZZ Top is one of the best legitimate down to earth guys, in the limelight, that I have ever met. They are awesome guys to just hear their stories and to have a conversation with.
Awesome performance!! It reminds of my school days in 1980s ! I was a big fan of ZZ Top, Van Halen, Helloween (German band) and Ramones from US..Cheers from Korea!!
I was lucky enough to know Billy in Houston long before ZZ Top was formed. He's a gentlemen and a scholar. He also found a Les Paul for me back in 1971 and I bought it from Billy's buddy. That guitar today would be worth about $40,000, but I sold it in 1973 for what I paid for it: $300. Billy and Keith Richards will outlive us all. Keep rockin', Reverend.
Love this group, seen them many times, they ruled MTV in the 80s, I saw the Eliminator tour but when they came back later and did the Afterburner it blew my mind. It was sold out, loud as hell complete with pyro. My best friend next to me was yelling at me and I couldn't even hear him and the whole venue smelled like a big fat joint lit up!!
I have saw ZZ TOP 6 times in concert I think the best was the Recycler tour. It was amazing what they did on stage with the props I thought about that for several days after because there was a lot to comprehend
I was fortunate to see them in 73 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angles. The key thing was they dressed in cowboy gear 10 gallon hats, no beards, so I got to see the real boys. And by the way, the other two bands were Robin Trower and Wishbone Ash. 3 kick ass guitar bands!! Those were the days!
jmn93065 And it most likely cost you $5.00 to get into the show. We had it made living in Southern California for all the places that we could see concerts. I'm born and raised in Orange County, CA.
Dusty HIll used to live really close by to my house. After work at the bookstore, I'd go to the Burlap Barrel Pub in HOuston. It was smoky, had a great juke box, had maybe 4 tables, a crappy pool table with a Pearl Beer light over it and a small bar...and Dusty would always be in there sipping his beer talking to the bartender who was his girlfriend (I think). There was never more than 10 people in the place ,,,,usually less. People didn't go there to have fun or to social. They went alone or with a work friend and drink cheap beer. I'd shoot pool with him once in a while and I'd ask him about the different countries he played in. The was back in 1985-6 and i was 21 years old. it was pretty cool talking with him but then he was just another cheap beer drinker like the rest. I remember the license plate on his el dorado cadi said something like ZZ -1 , or maybe just ZZ -2. It might have had cow horn on the front as well. No one really paid much attention to him or he to others. A glass of beer was $1:00
I took a woman to a ZZ Top concert I believe it was 1990 or 1991 I was about 19 or 20 she was 29 or 30 very sexy woman, ZZ Top had the silhouette dancers, this was in Dallas I think the Super Bowl it was a great concert! ZZ Top Texas Finest Rockers!
That's funny. A co-worker/date took me to a ZZ Top concert also in Dallas. I think 1991. (Not Super Bowl.) I worked at DFW from 90-95. I enjoyed many concerts in that time period in Texas.
Seen them live about just after Dusty passed away RIP. They played a great show, Elwood was great, I had seats front row center, Elwood just seems too fit in like he had been on the stage for years, knows the band so well from working back stage being their guitar tech for decades
You are great, many greetings from Wagner, many greetings from Rosen, many greetings from my people, from my band, from my company, from everyone who listens to zizi talk in this world, you are unique. I love you.
Hard to knock these guys, absolutely love them. Even when playing along with backing track. Couple of iffy notes (hairy guitars didn't help) by Billy so he was playing live.
For being 379 years old they still sound great!
They will still sound exactly the same when they are holograms….lol.
@@scottbaxendale323 Correct. The main thing is that the playback system works.

Saw them in UK 1986, still the best gig I've ever been to. Rock on!
These guys are older than me and they're still rocking. Awesome!
The coolest old dudes ever 😅
Seriously, if you’re struggling with mid life crisis, just go to their concert. If they can still be cool, you can too!
RIP Dusty… Rock on Elwood!

ZZ TOP there is no other. You guys ROCK!!!! Thanks
My all time Fav band. Love Elwoods job.
Elwood's stage presence is getting more confident....but damn, I sure miss Dusty Hill ✝
You're right, Elwood is getting better. Hard to fill Dustys' shoes though.
Dusty selected Elwood Francis as his replacement when Dusty's medical issues became terminal.
Dusty played with all his fingers. Elwood uses a Pick. That alone tells me something. Plus Dusty could solo with a great voice.
Yep it's sad but as long as Elwood has be their guitar tech. They could not have had a more talented and able replacement!!!
@@kenbley5115 It doesn't tell you shit except you know nothing about playing bass.
