For those of you that don't know Elwood, he's got one hell of a resume. Joe Perry, Steve Vai, Puddle of Mud, Izzy Stradlin and Gilby Clarke [Guns ‘N’ Roses], Rich Robinson of The Black Crowes. He's been in the music industry for over three decades.
They call RAP music too. But I don't agree. I'm sorry, but when you lose a member of such a small band that's responsible for vocals? It's simply sub-par unless you can replace them to the 'T'. Journey managed to do it, but others have failed. (Foghat comes to mind, even though Charlie Huhn is an old friend of mine).

ZZ Top - probably the only band with any guts to keep going despite losing a key member. Respect ✊ and the great thing is, Dusty actually wanted the band to keep going. All the other bands no longer around simply just break up - Zeppelin, Sabbath, Queen (Brian can sing, Roger can sing. Jason should have filled in for his Dad years ago and Black Sabbath could have kept going with another vocalist like Glenn Hughes or just bring back Tony Martin. Every band should keep going. No matter what.
I disagree. Depends on the band and the circumstance. Particularly Zeppelin, I think had about the most unique different musicians that only that combination could have made the music they did. Robert didn't have any real desire to just keep trying to go out and play the hits. We got two albums with him and Page and the O2 concert which I thought sounded great but some of the songs were tuned down. And I think he also knew if they did that it wouldn't be as good as what they'd done and people would have to pay a fortune to see them. No matter how good of singers Brian and Roger are, they aren't Freddie. Look at Foreigner now, though they're all great musicians, are basically just a tribute act.
