You did not explain the case where a person exchanging the phone with new phone. Wherein there is no option to do data transfer as we need to give the old phone first in exchange to new phone.. hope u get my point.
I always use only phones which come with stock android. One most thing I don't like about today's smartphone is glass backpanel. I also don't like phone covers but with glass backpanel it's look very dirty with our finger prints. So I have to use covers.
