Oh boy! I can't wait for this movie to come out!
About as funny as Chernobyl pal...
too late, you missed it
It already did--it's called 1917 and it's in select theatres everywhere
Too late
It's on Netflix in October.... In German for a change...
I think what amazes me the most about this movie is that the people of today can relate to WW1 and how the people of that time witnessed it through this movie. This movie was made a little over 10 years after the end of that war. It is now preserved in time. If you think 10 yrs ago, we invaded Afghanistan. That's how short of a time between WW1 and this movie. When people think only of WW1, they think of a war from a very long time ago, but with this movie, it's as if it happened yesterday

10 years ag we invaded Afghanistan, 20 years ago..... At least it's (mostly) over now
Maybe that is because the world has really not changed all that much. Yes, we have all the technology but in many ways things are still the same.
and look at the world now...
It's almost the same distance in time between my comment and yours.
This original movie is so good, such a good script and so far ahead of its time, we wouldn't get proper war films like this again until the late 70s.
Not until Johnny Got His Gun.
I can’t believe this film is 90 years old
I love this platform where you have to sit through two ads to watch an ad
I thank god I ran into this film version, for I cannot believe such a powerful film was done in 1930 when so many, incredibly, still prefered war above peace.
What the hell are you talking about? You pos
Top 3 war movies:
This adaptation of "All Quiet on the Western Front", the Soviet adaptation of "War and Peace", and Dalton Trumbo's own adaptation of "Johnny Got His Gun".
Amazing movie even now. A great book that became a great screenplay and awesome movie. There is so much energy in this production you can easily overlook any faults (who cares if the German soldiers sound like a bunch of Brooklyn wise guys. Old historic Brooklyn that is. Not whatever they are calling Brooklyn now.)
I saw something here that I had not seen when I saw the movie. The reveal of the pair of severed hands still clutching the barb wire. Truly a horrifying image and well done.
Paolo Gianni was just reading it again, fuck yeah that books bringed up so many emotions, specially chapter 6 in the front, I still get chills...
I watch the Netflix adaptation last night. What a great film! Now I'm curious to watch this classic original 🤔
In Rarelust
This was better
Me too!
If only they knew when watching this movie that 9 years later they would cast in a more devastating movie of their own.
That movie is a classic

A classic!
2:12 the hands !!
Hands up if you are here after watching the Netflix 2022 movie!😁
🙋🏾♂️
1979
Is this better than the 2022 version
This is from 2223
This one is still the best.
Nine years later the sequel came out...
This is the first winner academy awards oscar movie ever
not quite. Wings was the first Oscar winner - this was the second
@@deadpan80 well no, this was the third actually..🙄
@@sofiakiakou2913 I stand corrected. I forgot about Broadway Melody 🤗
@@deadpan80 you forgot because it's not worth to be remembered 😁😁
The first Oscar winner based on a novel
Awesome
This film challenges even the likes of saving private ryan.
I already watched the 2022 version and I prefer a hundred times the 1930 version 👌
"never before and never again will the screen capture this so completely" 😂 that has not aged well
It has.
The trailer taken from the end of the 1988 MCA home video release of Beau geste
I'll have to watch this one. Looks good. All war is horror, but they say ww1 was the worst (in some ways) for the average soldier...
“Never before, and perhaps never again”
കലാവിസ് മൈൽസ്റ്റോൺ 😍
Is the remake any good I never saw this film
I thought they were supposed to be teens😭😭😭 these dudes look 50
And you talk 15
If you like this, watch "Come and See"
Masterpiece. The einsatzgruppen scene is so realistic it's unbearable. Soviet Union had more than 24 millions people killed by the germans.
第1次大戦から十余年しかたってないだけに戦闘シーンが生々しいな
It is ironic that the Second World War began 9 years after the release of the film
😎
This trailer is for a re-release. Does anyone know when, especially if it was before or after the Second World War?
it was 1930, 9 years before the second world war
🛑🛑
Men, who flee from wars in their Far East countries to Europe should watch this.
European SOLDIERS HAD NO CHOICE.
THEY COULDNT FLEE.
THEY HAD TO FIGHT!

far east us Asia
Why should they watch it Linda? You think they should feel bad for not wanting to fight? The whole point of this movie is to be anti-war

HD remaster makes this trailer look terrible
استغفر الله
The entire cast for this movie is dead now.
A Napoleonic war movie like this should have been made... But Sharpe is the best so far.... Dumb directors
Pisses down upon "1917" from a great height.
I hope Netflix's German remake does it justice, the story actually needed to be retold. It's about time again.
Personally I love both the original and the 1979 version because my dad also liked both of em. I hope the third version lives up to them.
@@colliric just watched it last night. It's a damn masterpiece. With all respect to the lives lost.
@@colliric I watched the Netflix version recently. Disappointed to discover the makers had not read the book.
@@colliric it doesnt
I did not know, that this scene was in the trailer. I love this scene. :D
