“Girl Meets World” is a Disney Channel spin-off of the ABC show from the 90’s, “Boy Meets World.” This time, Cory and Topanga are parents to a teenage girl named Riley, played by Rowan Blanchard, her little brother, Auggie. The show follows Riley as she navigates the hilarious and choppy waters of adolescence with her best friend, Maya, played by Sabrina Carpenter, and the rest of her pals.
The show only lasted three seasons, but it had a pretty good run. It made audiences laugh with some humor for all ages. When kids are going through puberty, there’s bound to be some mature humor in the mix. This show did not disappoint in that department. We were surprised at how many adult jokes we found in this kids show. We discovered 15 hilarious adult jokes that kids probably missed. You’re not going to believe what they got away with at number one!

I’m really glad this show didn’t do too many “Hot Mom” jokes for Topanga. The emphasis on her intelligence was wonderfully played

I absolutely loved GMW & BMW and considering that BMW dealt with a lot more mature themes in the later seasons, I think they did a great job toning GMW down for Disney without losing the essence of the original.

Mir Afzal I’m not really sure, but I know music can be seen as an escape from the stressful world, maybe even a world stressful enough to motivate someone to commit a serious crime in the dirty context.

ikr! i get its Disney channel and all that. But one of the main reasons boy meets world was so well-liked was because they talked about real-world problems, like alcoholism, sexism, parent abandonment and simply having to pay bills. we shouldn't be making shows that teach kids that that world is "Riley town" we should make shows that teach kids how to become responsible adults. cause I know if it wasn't for shows like boy meets world I wouldn't really understand a lot of what's out there. shows like boy meets world makes you take a step back and think about these issues and by the time you encounter them in your life, you already have an understanding about it and can handle in a more correct fashion.

Seriously. The shocker is where your mind goes there? The "shocker by the locker" is a through back to old boxing matches. In particular, Joe Fraser and Cassius Clay's fight which was known as the "Thrilla in Manilla", the "Rumble in the Jungle", etc. They had rhyming words to advertise the match and get interest in it. Which is exactly what Zay is doing.

The number 48 was an exaggeration for emphasis on how he was scrawny. I think if Farkle were anorexic it would have been covered on the show. Then again, it is Disney Channel, so who knows

There is also one particular scene in Girl Meets the new year where Cory says the Matthews family has the family game the Friends game the couple's game and twister and then he says no twister now I wasn't too familiar at the time with what reason he was actually saying no twister for but I interpreted it as how if a boy girl pair got tangled up with each other while playing the game that could lead to certain positions that would have been to r rated for kids show but then I found out that he was actually referring to the fact that he and Topanga first did the deed under a twister mat at least I think it was the first time I didn't see that episode of Boy Meets World
they should make a sequel to girl meets world in twenty years called “non binary meets world.”

It was on ABC first, part of the TGI Friday lineup in the 90's then it was on syndication on ABC Family and on Teen Nick so it has been shown on three different networks

It’s not unusual for Disney And Nickelodeon to put adult jokes in their shows. They are there for the parents because often the kids and parents watch the shows together. If the jokes are well hidden maybe they will go over the kids head and the parents will get a good laugh.

It's clear whoever made this video doesn't watch the show. So much of this information is wrong or is explained in backstory, which negates the intention the commentators here are trying to imply. And yes, there are older jokes, (as there are in most children's entertainment to help adults be able to sit through it too) but a lot of what is pointed out here is a stretch for sure.
I don’t understand why people see everything as dirty... I know what they are talking about but seriously not everything is dirty and it’s obvious that they were just desperate to find content for there channel
I doubt any of these jokes flew over the heads of kids ,they know much more in this day and age . Also it's not like kids shows using adult humor is new has anyone ever watched that show Animaniacs it was on in the 90's and can be seen on Hulu they had innuendos galore.
