In this snowboard video I'm working on getting my frontside 360's back in the terrain park. This is my first day back attempting frontside 360's on my snowboard so I wanted to share with you some tips that help me progress. I'm also up snowboarding with my friend Tim who is working on a few snowboard tricks and also has tips of frontside 360's. For more tips and tutorials check out the snowboard trick playlist. Thanks for watching! - Спорт
I have been fluently landing my 180s recently but couldn’t quit get the 360 down but this helped a lot thanks so much
Tim needs the Samba boots. Complete that Run DMC look!
Kevin, those goggles are siiiiick
Cool video:)😊
Because I see the lip on frontside spins I tend to setup carve too early like you are when you’re washing out, if I really focus on setting up later and bending my knees that heel side takeoff gets way cleaner
Goin' snowboarding this Sunday :)
Hopefully I'll be able to land my first 180's and maybe go for a 360. Thanks for all of your videos Kevin**.
You'll need more than a day :P
His name is Kevin
@@danieljohnson177 Oh shit lol my bad! I was just watching another UA-camr ChrisFix and I must've mixed up the names.
Sorry about that Kevin and thanks Daniel for pointing that out!
exorder2005 pshhh no you don’t
@@Vitalitay Actually you'd be right :) I've been snowboarding before and even done a few jumps.
Hopefully I'll be able to nail a couple spins this time!
I tried it on the ground, but the snow was very bad and I fellt and I bruised my arm
But you guys have a great channel! Close to the 500K:)
My backside 180's are so solid, make the frontside 3 my preference.
Noice
Sick jacket
Hi keV with just bend your knees before take off you'll be able to generate more pop on the take off.
I want to be doing 360s!
U guys are lucky you have snow, down here in nj theres almost nothing left :(
0:43 that save though
Hey Kevin ! Thanks for the video. Got one question which is what do you mean by putting front edge down ? Thank you !!!
Tim is the king of snowboard fashion
do you get those action shots with a drone?
I can’t believe i’m actually learning these
love this park!!
YEAH BUDDY!
Yoooo
ellstacker adventures heyo!!! 👊👍
@@danzbeard :)
I found front 180s the easiest because I started with skiing and that’s the way I naturally turned anyways and you can see the landing but with 360s frontside was definitely less comfortable not being able to see the landing. Backside felt a little safer but then switch backside 360s became my favorite interestingly because toe-side take off, spinning my natural direction and seeing the landing was by far the most comfortable.
Tim gets zero air lol
At least he's giving it a go and working on improving?? Yeesh
I was going to say that he needs more pop, I'm not taking a shot at him but if he got up a bit more it look so much better and he'd have more time to spin.
@@HanaFilms1 its not improving if he's making the same mistake over and over again from a season ago. He needs better basic pop techniques before proceeding into spins.
Love this channel and what it's done for me. However I have to agree. Seems like he has kind of plateaued and doesn't know where to go.
3 or 4 videos of Bear mountain? Was super repetitive in my opinion.
@@bukchoiii I couldn't agree more, well said
Are hardway front 360s easier for you? I thoght so because you said, that you liked it better to take off, off the toe edge...
Cool
My problem when doing a 360 is I always land In a 180 spin and I try to get a lot of air is there any tips you could get me?
At 4:55 you are talking about scrubbing on the lip or take off. Backside 3's are more precise and you can use your toe edge for more control and Pop to initiate rotation. Frontside 3's are done using the majority of your upper body. If you watch your upper body there is little to no initiation to the spin. Keep your board straight off the take off, (this will help with scrubbing) pop hard with your legs, but already have your upper body starting to rotate, then the lower will come around in the air.
yeah he honestly just needs to put more effort into his snowboarding, he keeps his legs so streight
Really love the background music. Can anyone help me to get the name of the music? Thanks !
7:04 my dude just Lays down casually
Legs too straight on take off. Bend knees for better pop off heels
do a. vid where u. hit huge jumps and do long. nose grabs
Yew!!!
Yew
Do you have new bindings?
Yewwww
Same here. Frontside feels so akward and unnatrual to do.
I have to confess. My switch riding isn't as strong as I want it to be. I've been on it all season long but it still feels sketchy trying to pop with my leg roles reverses riding switch. Do you think I should spend time popping riding switch till it becomes comfortable? Will that awkwardness ever dissipate?
Yes, look up Tommie snowboard videos on riding switch. Good tips there on putting more weight on front knee.
Bro learn front 180s on flat and then learn to ride away switch and then learn doing switch front 180s and your switch pop and riding will improve. Just repeat over and over till the lift and repeat even more after that.
I just learned to ride regular after being goofy my whole life. I would recommend exaggerating everything that you are trying to do. Foot movement, knee movement, weight forward. Hold your arm out straight out over your front. You can do it!
No way I got the same board as Kevin the gnu head space I just bought it
Anyone else think the dude in the blue sounds like stewie griffen lol
My issue doing front 3s is I always underspin I get a 270 in the air then finish it off on the ground
Twist that last 90 before you land.
You prolly need more pop and speed
I have very stiff board so it a little bit hard to do this shit XD
I feel this hahah, what board do you have? I wanted a good groomer carver that would also be good for jumps and stuff, but so stiff for butters and stuff like that. Rome Mod
@@mochidomo i don't know if you know this company cuz i don't maflia. I think it is like 9/10 stiffnes hahha shit man i am looking forward to buy Lib tech t rice pro
Stiffer boards are better for spinning jumps. More stability and more pop. Does take a while to get used to tho
Why is frontside vs backside sooo confusing! A frontside rotation on a jump is different direction of rotation for front side boardslide? Some help 😩
It is a different direction of rotation considering the same edge. Backside, you rotate your back foot first, and opposite for the frontside
@@MajorAddiction I see what your saying, and i thought u solved it. But then i realised i do my frontside boardslides the exact same way i do my backside 3s so it rlly doesnt make sense 😩
@@BFleck front board slide: your front faces the pipe/box. (comes from skateboarding) frontside spins: your open your front to spin around.
Where is the Powder ??!!!!
He should have cut the rough 200s at the beginning.
Never mind later it was
Tim is too focused on the spin and not the pop so ugly 3s. He's gotta pop first and spin the shoulders after.
Tim needs more speed when hitting jumps!! He Barly gets off the ground.
Anyone else find it hard to watch switch riding when your a traditional footed rider?
Tim...pull the balaclava under your chin bro 😂
Much like I can front flip but not backflip
1 comment.
Tim is pretty noob
Than I show up…. Oooff currently working on back 9 and switch 5
