- Ingested (Sean Hynes [guitar], Sam Yates [guitar], Lyn Jeffs [drums]) talk about the evolution of their writing style, from slamming death metal riffs together and cutting the songs when it got long enough to allowing repetition and focusing on live songs. They explain they thought the songs from 'The Level Above Human' that they chose for music/lyric videos ("Invidious," "Better off Dead," "Purveyors of Truth") would be the fan favourites, but there are two stand outs beyond those: "Last Rites" and "Sovereign," the latter which just might feature Suffocation vocalist Frank Mullen's last recorded performance. Interview conducted May 15 in Toronto when the band were on tour with Signs of the Swarm and Bodysnatcher, ahead of their appearance on the "Devastation on the Nation Tour."

Amazing. Saw them in IL on Devastation and it was insane.
So underrated!!! Definitely stands apart from the sea of slam bands
BOW DOWN
Lots of slam fans are pissed at their stylistic change, but I think their songwriting is stronger than ever. They make a bone-crushing riff and then build a song around it, and I fuck with that writing style really hard. When you bring that riff back later in the song, it just hits different
they think that they have evolve, they think that their new album is better that old. omg it's obiviously not.
