- In this video, Chuy Gutierrez from BOS Labs shows us how easy it is to use the new barn door and grid for the NanLite Pavotubes! We've all been there... we have a great tube light source and can't control the beam... the new barn door for the Pavotubes fixes that problem and gives you the added control of an additional grid to narrow the beam even more!

Can you give a link to purchase the background? Or at least point me in the right direction. I'm loving your setup.
I love the addition of these grids. My only question is whether or not you can mount the tubes with Cardellini still?
Yes, you should be able to there is an opening in the back of the barn doors to allow for a mounting bracket.
@@NanliteUSA awesome thank you!
Can I attach these with the barn door to a light stand? How would I control the angle?
Hi, the Barn doors have a slit cut in the back that allows you to attach a clamp or mount, and then attach to a stand. You can rotate the barn doors up or down to control beam angle
@@NanliteUSA thanks! I’ve been thinking of investing in a pack tube kit as they seem very versatile.
Glad to hear!
I got one of these for my astera titan but it will only fit on by the control panel and is really tough to latch, any pointers? I really want to buy more
Hi, Austin I believe the Astera tubes are bigger in size than the T12 size of the Pavotubes. This could be the trouble you're having with mounting the rings to your Astera light. Currently Nanlite doesn't make any larger rings than what is currently on the market.
Modify it. The astera comes with two of their own latches. Y
Thanks for the video. The grid and barn doors would not have much effect on the subject matter, as is highlighted here. They are for controlling lens flare / contrast at extreme angles where it is just about to direct hit the lens, and reducing background or adjoining area spill. If doing additional videos, it would be good to highlight and compare that aspect.
HI Mir, those are all very valid points. When we do our next modifier video we will address them.
you really should have another bracket in. thecenterof those 4 foot sleeves.
Thank you for the suggestion we are happy to pass along to the factory engineers.
@@NanliteUSA I’ve been looking at these to try out with quasar lights. There’s some interesting things I’d like to try to hack and combine between both brands. My diy ones I used heavy magnets and it really saves a ton of time setting up/tearing down. Clutch for small crews and solo artists like me
Good information!
Great accessories but Nanlite, why in the US it's 50$ and in Europe it's 89 euros ?? Really ? Same thing about the mount accessories by the way... almost twice the US price... Common !
Thanks for the compliment, The price difference is due to taxes in Europe.
The problem with these is that you can’t access the menu. You can’t see the screen. Makes them a huge pain on set.
Hi Justin, thanks for the input we will pass it along to the Factory.
I just installed my set today and maybe Nanlite updated the product design, but one of the attachments has a window cut out that allows you to see the screen when it's installed.
