    thing I noticed, is when putting the strut back in (with 2" spacer), it was crazy tight to the point I needed just a little bit more, then a little bit more. so I loosened the 36mm Axle Nut to where it was still threaded on the axle, but only by a few threads. that gave me that extra bit to get the lower control arm to give me an extra inch downwards.

    • @WaterFowler41
      @WaterFowler41  3 роки тому

      Yup, it’s a tight fit with 2” spacers. I can’t imagine doing this with a 2.5 or 3” kit. Good call on loosening the wheel nut!

    Just bought a 21 rebel and there was one 1” difference between front and back. To put the 2” lift in the front I had to put a 1 1/2” spacer in the back so the front wasn’t higher.

    Great video. I want to attempt this soon on my truck. Could I remove the lower ball joint on the lower control arm so I don’t have to remove any brake components and steering tie rod? Thanks.

      No you’ll have to work from the upper control arm with these kits.

    Just installed my motofab leveling kit based on this vid and one from DooWork. Thank you this was very helpful. Running 2856520s on the 2” lift and stockers. So far so good.
    What did you do for the speedometer correction?

      I didn’t change my tires (yet) so no need for speed calibration.
      Great to hear the video helped! Enjoy the new ride height!

    Do you lose the oem handling/ smoothness? Is it a tight and stiff dive?

  • @TexansFanBryan
    @TexansFanBryan 3 роки тому

    So this may be a dumb question, but could you pair this MOTOFAB leveling kit with Bilstein 6100 up front and 5160 shocks on the rear?

    • @WaterFowler41
      @WaterFowler41  3 роки тому

      Assuming you’re talking about a Rebel or a Ram with ORP springs i wouldn’t add Bilsteins and the Motofab kit. If you want more lift than what the 6112’s will do then you’re looking at a full lift kit. The spacers cause too many down travel issues.

    does the rebel have the 1 inch lift from the factory off rd package?

    • @WaterFowler41
      @WaterFowler41  3 роки тому

      The Rebel has 1” lift compared to the normal Rams. It’s the same height as the Rams with the Off road package. Only difference between the ORP and the Rebel is the Rebel also comes with bilstein 4600’s.

    • @XB0XM4N420
      @XB0XM4N420 3 роки тому +1

      Does the one inch lift on the rebel affect the level making it 3.5 front in total, my shop is recommending upper control arms because most 3.5 " levels recommend them. Or is the factory upper control arm fine with this kit

    • @WaterFowler41
      @WaterFowler41  3 роки тому +1

      Correct 1” plus the 2” leveling kit makes this a 3” kit compared to a basic Ram. Considering our Rebels have the same UCAs and the basic Rams it’s definitely worth replacing them with newer ones to accommodate the new angles
