So there IS a screen protector film! I couldn't tell. Just got this machine today and too scared to pick at the corners, but you went in and did it no fear!
I’ve had mines for a little over 2 weeks now! Video coming soon! Im loving it! Total newb sort a, i also have the Octatrack! But liking the Digi a bit more!
Hey IMakeBeat, yeah that Octatrack is one of the few devices that really intimidates me. I keep hearing how brutal it is to learn. Did you find it to be that way?
@@baconbigbeats Yes its one the most complicated devices i own! Its has a huge learning curve for sure. My Digi video will hopefully be dropping sometime this week, hope u stop by to check it out!
Very cool! It definitely sounds awesome. Elektron sure do love to diversify their devices, and hold back features to keep you buying more. But I'm on the same page with you about a "Digitone II", hopefully they pull it off (Come on virtual analog or wavetables!)
Hey Nixie, yeah they do! They are really good at extracting money from my wallet. By the way, dropping one more short vid next week then my take on one of your digitone vids will be next. Here's a tease......ARP! :D
Maybe this is something you can tell me because I don't have an Octo. From what you can tell, is there a lot of overlap? Can you do almost everything with D2 vs Octo? Is there one "killer thing" you can't live without with the Octo? I think you will find your best move in answering those questions.
Welcome! How are you liking the DT2? Also yes that's the one and only Helmet band. It's a signed deck I got at a concert last year. Page still rips on guitar.
@@baconbigbeats I am very much enjoying the learning process. My first Elektron box was the Model : Samples and had owned it for maybe six weeks before I picked up the Digitakt 2. My goal is to become somewhat fluent in the "Elektron Lexicon" and with the time I can dedicate, this may take a while. I read and watch as much as I can when I can't have my hands on it. I appreciate Helmet and similar bands since maybe 1990ish(?) and yet I also enjoy "electronic music" from the same surrounding years. /cheers and just subbed for more of your thoughts and experiences. 🍻
@@crimsonfancy Thanks for the sub! I wasn't ever really sold on Model:samples and I'm glad about it too because it seems these awesome little black boxes are quite the upgrade. As for Helmet, yeah I still see them in concert when they come to my area. Highly recommended if they come to your town!

Thanks for the sub! You are going to love it! So much new stuff to learn it's awesome!
Hmmmm…. Selling my Octatrack? Or use it with the Digitack 2? Hard decision 😌

Ive only arrived on your channel for the first time. I recently picked up DT2.
Is it Helmet that I remember in the background? I figure so.
/cheers 🍻
