      Looks great but 'doesn't need primer, but has 3 or 4 coats of paint' ?
      If u used primer u would have 1coat on top, reducing ur work?

      @barriemoorcroft534 I can testify. I'm an avid watcher of Shade's videos and every time one pops up I get so excited. I drop everything and tune in. I love her authenticity and she has really good tips. It's like having a friend helping you to make the most of your home. I'm just starting my kitchen makeover. Thank you so much! You’ve saved me at least a grand, Duck! So… I hate my kitchen, it’s tiny but wherever I went (Wren, Magnet, Wickes…) it was around 2 grands for all I wanted to do. Bought Rustoleum in Black Sand and Chalk White but doubted I’d be able to do that right… After seeing your amazing brand new kitchen I’m doing it! I’d splash out on new sink and counter tops (I need to re-jiggle the cabinets around a bit). Omg! I’m so happy. Thank you so much!

    Top tutorial…I’m in the middle of a similar transformation myself for a friend. I’ve kind of dithered on choosing traditional roller/brush method or my cheap Teccpo sprayer. I did use it to spray masonry paint, and have to admit to being impressed. The V33 paint I’m using on the doors is quite a bit thinner than masonry paint - think porridge - so shouldn’t need much diluting. Great job, and thanks so much for sharing!

I have a day bed from Ikea (Hemnes) and I am a beginner, doing it first time in my life and hence not sure how to start with the makeover of this bed? Do i need to sand it? or can I just wipe off with micro fiber cloth and paint it with the color of my choice, your help is highly appreciated. Loads of love from me to u , happy new year 2022.

    • @ShadeShannon
      @ShadeShannon  Рік тому

      Yes you can! Once you let them fully cure for about 10 days. I wouldn't use anythign particularly abrasive on them but they can defo be cleaned well. I'd also recommend sealing them for a final step too!

    • @ShadeShannon
      @ShadeShannon  Рік тому

      Hmm hard to advise without seeing but perhaps a very strong wood filler than can fill the chips and some sanding can help create a smooth base initially. I’ve also heard of people using heat to remove their plastic coverings but that is a huge job and probably only suitable for badly damaged cabinets x
