*** 10 k subs...Congrats Jason! The 6 hour marathon you did on Weds was great. And your hair looks great too, which of course is whats most important, right? haaa
Review was cool
Eddie Martinez
Great time line interview, Jason. Eddie is/was a great player but that’s always half the battle. Networking, being prepared, and his genuine humble attitude and friendliness I’m guessing fueled his snowballing popularity as a session player. His resume is astounding. BTW I worked in musical instrument retail on Mass Ave in Boston for 27 years across the street from Berklee College of Music. Nona Hendryx taught at Berklee and I always enjoyed talking to her when she stopped into the shop. I’m sure that her students learned a lot from her experiences in the business and wisdom. Congrats on 10K!
Great interview absolutely no time wasted today one refund please
Go listen to the AOR/Rock supergroup The Distance with Tony Thompson Bernard Edwards Jeff Bova Robert Hart and Eddie Martinez…I’m surprised this didn’t come up during the interview…this could have been huge…but no support from the label…I found my cd in a cut out bin when it came out…The band was featured in a Whoopi Goldberg movie also
Thanks for the heads up, I just found it and love finding “new” old music. Appreciate the lead
Great interview great job Jason! Eddie is such a great influence in my life , I love the have guitar will travel attitude,he’s such an eclectic musician a legend himself
The keyboard clicking!!
Nona Hendryx "MOVING VIOLATIONS" So much fun!
I remember EVH saying he loved the riff from Addicted to Love.
Jason...another great show! We are off to see Alice Cooper in Vancouver tonight! Maybe we will get some Alice Cooper hot sauce!
They should make a movie about him
I knew Eddie played on a lot of records, but I really had no idea. What a great interview, thanx for posting it.
PS. As a musician, I am curious about the gear these artists use, can you sneak in a few tidbits for us musicians?
Tony Thompson had the best drum sound post Bonham
Does Eddie Still have his HAMER Guitar's?
I still have my Red Hamer I used with Run DMC and Robert Palmer.
@@eddiemartinez6510 is it an SS?
Does anyone know if Eddie was the guy who played the solo on “Loverboy” by Billy Ocean? I swear it had to be him
Just came across the Jean Beauvoir and Tony Thompson project Crown of Thorns today. Hard to believe Tony has been gone almost 20yrs now
