Great time line interview, Jason. Eddie is/was a great player but that’s always half the battle. Networking,being prepared, and his genuine humble attitude and friendliness I’m guessing fueled his snowballing popularity as a session player. His resume is astounding. BTW I worked in musical instrument retail on Mass Ave in Boston for 27 years across the street from Berklee College of Music. Nona Hendryx taught at Berklee and I always enjoyed talking to her when she stopped into the shop. I’m sure that her students learned a lot from her experiences in the business and wisdom. Congrats on 10K!

Go listen to the AOR/Rock supergroup The Distance with Tony Thompson Bernard Edwards Jeff Bova Robert Hart and Eddie Martinez…I’m surprised this didn’t come up during the interview…this could have been huge…but no support from the label…I found my cd in a cut out bin when it came out…The band was featured in a Whoopi Goldberg movie also
