Said this on another channel but, how can we sell a project to players when the likes of bruno, isak botman tonali all signed it looked like a great project. However now with all the psr crap its almost came to a halt. Looks to me like our main targets arent interested in coming. Bruno and isak will be gone after next season they wont wait around for ever.
Of course he wants to go. I would too. Newcastle can’t even promise him a pre season. We need to stop making excuses to sell Minteh, just keep him, it’s beyond ridiculous.

We have to let our club do what needs must to get a half decent team together for next season. Remember they did pretty well in spite on injuries. We can’t blame them for trying. I think if we can keeps the likes of Bruno and Isaak then next season we will be a lot stronger. We don’t have distractions of Europe so a lot less games to play. Hopefully we can make A stronger squad to win the Premier League.
Ofc, if he joins Newcastle United I'll support him and wish he does really well. But he's had 54 goals in 10 seasons (including lower leagues) so on what basis are we thinking he can get 50 in the next 5 years?
Minteh is a great player and wherever he goes he’s gonna shine .. I don’t think Newcastle should get rid of him unless they have to
Dcl missing 159 days with 3 different hamstring injuries within the space of 7 months is a massive red flag imo. Should avoid him 53 days in Nov 22, 75 days in feb 23 and 31 days in may 23 should tell us hes not worth the risk. Thats a ridiculous ammount of time to be out with a hamstring injury. He also missec 18vdays in april 22 and another 8 days in feb 22 so shows how fragile his hamstrings are if he has to do alot of running about which Eddies teams always seem to do as we are one of the hardest working and run more than most teams in the league. Do we need another injury prone player after the crazy ammount of players we had out last season that probably cost is a place in the champions league again for this season coming up

TBH if you buy mid table PL players then don't be surprised if we finish in the middle of the PL. Like I have said for a while, Eddy Howe needs to be taken out of the transfer loop, he is clearly clueless. I bet Eddy is not manager for the Jan transfer window, he is not good enough tactically to be an top manager, though he is a good PL manager capable of managing a team like Bournmouth. I hope I am wrong and he wins something, time will tell, but I have seen enough to make my own opinion.

So, it's a little troubling that we need to get younger, and we are looking at selling all our young players for 27-year-old ok Premier League players. It leads to the notion that Eddie prefers older players to younger ones.
I think minteh already been told he doesnt gave a future under howe, why else would he agree terms with some one else unless hes been told hes going to be sold
Because, and as much as it pains me to say this, if the unnamed club is dortmund as rumours suggest, that is currently a better move for him. Champions league finalists with a proven track record of developing world class players vs 7th in the prem. No brainer. We aren’t even close to the juggernaut’s we hope to be, it will come with time.
We need to improve our squad with more quality players. Longstaff, Almiron, Murphy and Krafth should be substitutes at the most!

Eddie out if our transfers this season is going to be likes of kelly, lewin, trafford and minteh out 37mil for lewin is shocking business i would rather solanke all day. lewins stats are trash age 27 with 2 ok seasons with a lot of pens.

I ain’t actually suprised about minteh because Eddie wants every trace of ashworth signings gone from club and if he could have got out the hall one aswell he would have. We need to be shifting miggy to cover psr if it does exist which I honestly think we would not have went over with the club structure. I would keep Callum if alternative is dcl

Crazy this like. Surely can’t be an EH decision. DCL/Kilman signing are underwhelming at best and make no financial sense and now a potential future star being sold for PSR when Miggy/Longstaff/Targett/Wilson/Anderson etc are still there. Mental

Tbf, last season we had Botman, burn and Dummett to play LCB. Everyone just assumes Kelly is considered a CB by the coaches but I don’t - he played predominately LB for Bournemouth since he returned to fitness. It’s quite feasible he’d want burn, Botman and another LCB to match the numbers for past season. Kelly and Hall to fight it out for LB
Will be very gutted with newcastle as we ain't given him a chance for the toon we brought him for the future that means the dead wood in the squad will be there next season

From what I've seen we was 4m over the psr at end of the season with the players that have left I wouldn't worry about that
The more things change the more they stay the same? We had a couple of years as a buying club trying to be number one under the PiF. But now we're back to selling our best players (possibly) and prospects (probably) because the club want the cash, and replacing them with other club's cast-offs? It might be for a different reason this time, but that just makes it suck even more. Not even three seasons into our "project" and already the Premier League and their poster boys have broken us. It's all so very sad. Let's hope that everything in the Newcastle garden in rosy (even without gardening expert Ashworth) and all of this negative press is just fabricated bollox.

Re Calvert-Lewin, we never replaced Chris Wood. We don't know what is happening. But if we keep Wilson and add Calvert-Lewin, then the squad will be stronger. I'd be happy with that and takes the pressure off for a year or two and gives us some breathing space. We could then target a young up and coming striker over the next few windows. People are panicking over nothing. Some toon fans are such fickle drama queens.

1 of the clubs interested in minteh is roma apparently so you could always strike a deal to take their keeper svilar and Tammy Abraham as a swap. Clubs are being forced to develop talent just to sell to get max profit for ffp and psr. Apparently toons bid for killman was rejected they want more money and apparently man utd and West ham both interested now.
We want the cash due to PSR.
Losing Minteh without even seeing him in a preseason is honestly a big concern. Combine that with being linked with so many defenders and DCL, and it's not exactly uplifting

I don’t understand the obsession shoehorning Anderson on the left side of midfield, given a pre season he can be trained on the right and replace longstaff, he’s right footed so should be his natural side & is more mobile than Sean with a higher technical ceiling. I imagine Sean’s on higher wages which would be better to offload
Why people think Anderson can do longstaff's job makes me question their football knowledge. They are different players for different jobs . Willock Joelinton and Anderson all do the same except Joelinton and Willock are more effective atm . No brainer to get rid of weakest and reinforce somewhere else . Anderson has potential to be better than both . But the truth is he isn't right now
Don't sell Minteh. Quite frankly I'd rather take the points hit before being compelled to sell youngstwrs that are promising for better part of a decade

What happens if we get DCL and he gets an injury? Extra pressure and stress on Isak’s body making him more liable to break down. This is a horrendous proposal.
The only thing we can say about minteh is that we don’t know, it just feels disappointing to sell him. However if he’s sold I’m sure there’ll be sell on clauses etc yes it would be devastating to see him do well at another PL club, but on the flip side imagine we keep him and he flops we’d all be saying “should’ve took x amount of million last summer” as long as his money is reinvested wisely which to be honest I don’t have much faith in that!
Initially the DCL story came across as terrible news, but it may not be too bad a deal if the fee is strongly performance-based, x million for every season in which he plays a certain number of games, and a higher figure if he reaches say 20 goals in a season. So say 10-12 million upfront, potentially going upto 20-25 mill might be a good deal for both clubs.
We don't even play to his strengths.

Ashworth bought in Tonali & he did not check his background ,Tonali is very good player but he has a gambling problem the length of ban he recieved confirms this.I saw in chat last week people were asking each other what do you reckon on james Tony they seemed up for it forgetting he was banned for the same offence as Tonali we buy him he does it again we have the same situation as Tonali. Illegal betting on football is prevalent in italy & here in uk.

Re Minteh. You cant miss what you've never had. Hes technically been our player but has never pulled on the shirt. If he fies and becomes great then so be it. The only difference to missing out on a transfer target is we get to make a profit on him

Why are some fans panicking over transfers as if the transfer window closes at the end of the month rather than the end of August. Some are throwing their toys out of the pram because of a few smaller signings to deepen the squad. Their parents must have been under pressure every Christmas knowing that what ever they bought them would be underwhelming because they had spoilt brats for kids.
I look at Lyon, Benfica, Dortmund, Napoli, very little money to splash on players yet they always sign players other clubs always want to sign from them for major profits. Signing average english players is the road to ruin. Even the youth signings are english wtf? If EH gets the road which is very possible if we have a bad start only a Bruce type manager would want to keep the likes of DCL, Trafford, MGW, Kilman and a few others were linked with. Nufc transfer business is starting to look like a EH vanity project exercise.
If minteh goes and dcl comes in im done. Worst transfer window ever.
Moggy needs to be told that if he doesn’t want to go, he’s off to the reserves for the season-his time is done. I’d rather go with Minteh and see mistakes rather than another season of watching the most one footed player in history.
I think NuFC are already on the decline cause of cash restrictions. Top 4 next year will be two Manchester teams, Liverpool and Arsenal. I think NUFC will be 8th. DCL taking CW position of the physios table.
