Last year I did most of the NH and Maine sections on a Honda PCX 150. Didn't do the Maine ADV sections and MT. Washington doesn't allow scooters. It was pretty slow going but loads of fun. No mechanical issues -probably from going so slow. I'm a fat old guy in my 60s.
I dig the hard stuff. Don't ever take out the gnarly sections. Some of us live for those. The big boys can reroute if need be. That's where the excitement is! Good stuff. Love the rides and well produced.
Coming from outside of the US , but having lived there for three years, this ride could take me weeks... so much history and so many places to stop at... and then the riding.
I think that the old Maine Central railroad bed between Baring to Ayers Junction, Machias, and Ellsworth would be a good adventure! I want to do it on my 2014 CB500X. from the neighbor nextdoor in New Brunswick, Canada. 🇨🇦
OMG Jocelin is a freaking riot !!!! I lived in Southern NH most of my life and she cracks me up !! What a rider too obviously !!! Really enjoyed this film !!! Keep up the great stuff !!! Bob from Cornville Arizona now !!!!
Great team - but Jocelin made this extra special. She is amazing - entertaining engaging, Great rider and seems like a great person. Respect to all from Durango Mexico 🇲🇽
Maybe BDR could create an app so riders could plan routes/link together, in real time pinpoint spots on the route that maybe closed/blocked etc etc. could be very neat and helpful and get people out there that may be hesitant to otherwise. I would definitely use it. Maybe there’s already such a thing?
Mike Lafferty, from Mauricetown NJ? Family’s been riding east coast/nj enduros for years. I was wondering who was cowboying that KTM off all the rocks! Ktm sponsored a demo day a couple of years ago in Downingtown pa and he was the leader of the pack! Now I recognize him. I was a Delaware Enduro rider and had many a good time in the pine barrons.
Prattsville NY! I’ve got family history from the area that goes back ~100 yrs. Nice to see it mentioned, and great riding along rt23, rt30 and much of the Catskills.
Beyond the bikes, the views, and the people...comes the true generosity and kindness that all these folks give to make this happen. Personally I can't wait to complete all the BDRs, and I thank y'all so much for all your hard work. It's so amazing for all these small towns and the true Mom &Pop establishments, the routes will bring consistent visitors and money to these places that deserve it. As a father of 2 daughters I absolutely love that there are multiple females on this trip, it's encouraging for so many young women to see this.
I love seeing the BDR running right through my backyard. I've lived in upstate NY, near the MA line, my entire life, and it's awesome to see so many familiar places that I've enjoyed for years also being enjoyed by BDR riders. Thank you for coming to the Northeast!
Amazing to see how the BDR organization has grown over the years. It is incredible how you have created this brand with your passion, dedication and hard work and how far it has come! Congratulations on having established another successful route.. and on continuing to build on this legacy which will impact so many riders and the communities you have brought them to. Kudos to the team and to the legendary Mr. Noren for producing these incredible video stories for us to follow and have a small taste of what we can experience by following your routes. Thank you!! Ride on!!
Thanks for all your hard work in putting these together. I've ridden the Idaho, NM and Mid Atlantic routes. Looking forward to the NE in a few weeks. Having spent hours creating routes and tracks to ride in Ca, Oregon, Nevada and Washington, I appreciate the time and effort it takes to do this. It sure makes it easy for us to simply download the tracks/routes you created then ride them. Also, a big thumbs up to Butler maps-what a great resource they provide. On another note, seeing Mike Lafferty ride brought back memories of the Quicksilver National Enduro when he was on the row in front of me and we had about two minutes to catch our breath at the first reset!
I can’t believe I had no idea these route existed through my back yard in NY. Especially now that I own an ADV bike, can’t wait to string all my favorite roads together with dirt sections now. Also cool to see so many places I’ve spent time at advertised on a well produced video.
I'm in the North Eastern corner of Vermont I've been scouting the class 4 roads around here for a while. There's lots of good riding in Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans counties too. I ordered the map and am going to try some day/overnight trips this year. Excellent video production! Thank you!
Lol! I'm know that exoert section in Maine, it's the toughest trail I've ever ridden. Rains and flooding scoured it hard this year so it's extra special for the 2024 riding season. You'll notice theres a lack of soil on that hill climb!
Wow great video. I went from dirt bikes to duel sports and street bikes now that I’m turning 60 I’m getting into the adventure bike thing just purchased a super Tenere. So I’m looking forward to another set of adventures. Thank you so much for an outstanding video.
We stayed at the same motel in Gorham 10 years ago . 6 of us from Atlanta area are riding the NEBDR in September so this is a great video to watch, Thanks!
G’day from Western Australia, seriously great watching in all the states you’ve been thru. Here it’s dry and dusty road complete opposite of what you’ve got.
Tim so glad to see you out and riding and moto vlogging again! SAFE TRAVELS! I love the heat, but you are better off riding out of AZ for this summer ! Im at 3000 ft. In the Sierra Nevadas in Nor Cal, and we've had now massive heat after one of the worst winters on record😂❤..enjoy and cant wait for the next one
9:10 ''An ainm an Áthar, agus on Mhic, agus an Spioraid Naoimh, Ámen.'' ahaha that Irish blessing caught me off guard and sent me straught to the comments, It's nice to hear Gaelic being spoke as it's sadly a dying language. Made me happy.
Great production, Fantastic looking route, but man, cats outta the bag. Now everyone's gonna want to take Jocelin out for Lobbsta and a couple Moxies. ;-) My respect for each of you.
As an #Everide Rally participant, I can’t express enough gratitude to Tyler, his family and my co-rally riders. The experience was legit, inspiring and instructive. The moto mansion was awesome and I really appreciated the shared meals, shared stories and fellowship. I WILL BE BACK! My only hope is that the same crew can attend
I live in Florida now. I used to live in the Northeast. It’s been over 25 years since I lived in a house with a steep roof and old radiators and fire places for heat and those seasonal iconic days in which you see the Earth transform.
I have never been to that part of our country. This makes me want to go so bad. Especially doing an adventure bike trip like this. Dream vacation some day.
You all are absolutely incredible and amazing in so many ways, I love watching these videos and seeing the way you all treat each other and help each other, the ladies are so awesome and badass, I can’t wait to start doing all the BDR’s and getting my decals, thank you all for discovering and mapping the BDR for us all.
You guys are REALLY on to something. I just gor my first adventure bike and it seems like lots of others are doing the same. Thanks to you and the trails you are blazing we all have a much better idea what we're doing and how. Mark my words in a few years you'll have 20X the views. THANK YOU
Adding this to the list of things to do . Thanks for putting this together. You go right by where I grew up in VT. I may change my route around that area for more class 4 rd time
Love the videos, thanks for sharing! I have to tease though. Every BDR: It was the best one I've ever ridden & it was challenging, this shouldn't be your first BDR.
Thanks for a super-inspiring video. I love Stirling's production values. I’m doing the MABDR in sections, so it’s great to have a level-up to look forward to. Thanks again.
Such a great documentary. I’m a new bmw gs owner and thaws are the rides I’d love to do. I did get a little emotional watching it, as I Thru hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2019 with my doggo. Mt Graylock, The Whites, Mt Washington, all spots we hiked on our journey. I’m originally from New Zealand. New England reminds me of home.
Watching Sterling's documentaries has inspired me to ride 😎 I'm considering myself novice because I set at idle for so long I'll twist the throttle with no fear on my little Tw200 it's so capable probably logged in 3600 miles of off road and gravel in 2 years and 15k on a Yamaha cruiser ✌️great video y'all ❤️
We rode Sections 3 and 4 at the end of May. October Mountain was phenomenal, hands down the most rewarding experience I've had on a bike. Took the easier alternates for the first couple Class IVs in VT, then tried my hand at Tabor Road, and it kicked my ass on the 1290. I am amazed by what Jocelin can do on the 1200GS. Looking forward to getting into NH and Maine in the near future. Thanks for putting together some great routes! Only constructive feedback I have is it would be great for the GPS tracks to have like a ski-mountain difficulty label for the different stages, though it's always condition dependent.

IMHO the BDRs are one of America's best gifts to the world.

Great, well made video! Great crew for that adventure. Appreciate the work the BDR organization is doing.

Awesome video, gave me an overview of what to expect when I am ready to do it. I am in NH and can't wait to do this.
What a great video and a fantastic ride.. funnest sections are Bear spray & to much boxed wine..
watched full episode.

Awesome!
I really enjoyed this BDR episode!! Your camping, local sightseeing really highlighted elements I enjoy on my trips. The scenery and riding were spectacular…thank you! The Washington video was made 10 years ago.
That moose reenactment was quite realistic. 🤣
Surprised at all the hard panniers given the seeming amount of off road.
