38:20. It's great to see Almighty Goddess Athena back. She looks amazing, strong, powerful, and fierce. Anyway, that was so EPIC and they fixed the mistakes and everything, especially the Boons. May all the deities on Mount Olympus protect the world. Together, we can all prevail.
11:23 looking at Charon's design in comparison to the first game I noticed some key changes: his hair is puffier while it was wet which would imply that he is not sailing as much as he used to which is surprising since he is the boat man. he wears silver rather than gold to symbolize his allegiance to both the unspoken and mainly the underworld, perhaps he melted all his gold as a way to help as one of his many contributions to the cause.
@@ahmedalissa7620 I have two responses to Charon design: His hair less wet could mean he has been sailing less since he can’t do his job anymore ^ could also he that his hair has grown longer and they wanted to draw it flowing out more. Otherwise, his first art had him more ghoulish than Hades 2, where he’s more pleasing to look at. If I’m allowed to be cynical, this is very common in large video game studios, but I feel Supergiant is refraining from drawing “ugly” characters. We see this with Hephaestus too (not that I’m complaining), but we are losing a trait that tells a story, such as Hephaestus being thrown off Olympus for his appearance at birth. I suppose Scylla would be ugly? But she’s actually really endearing haha. Master Chaos has been glamorized too, something to think about ^ Otherwise, we could also interpret that this is how Meli views Charon. Since he honestly looks more cuter LOL. While Zag struggled understanding him, thus viewed him on the more horror side. As for the gold, I believe the character design reflects the fall of the House. In Hades 1, Charon was at his peak and glory, even had extra stash to leave out haha. But now Charon wears the silvers to reflect his cooperation with the Sisters and the Moon.
one thing i love the most about how you play is that you look like you have so much fun with it with your light commentary. It adds a special something lol welcome back!
At last, a modicum of self-awareness! Thank you for your service, Hermes. And Apollo too, hmmm. "What mortals think is of no consequence." I am banging my head against the wall. Prometheus is really bringing out all of Melinoë's flaws, and I really hope the writing continues in this direction, both for her character development and because Prometheus totally deserves his villain arc.
@@theheartofmymystery yes!!! I regret not pointing this out, but I do like this direction of Melinoe and makes sense with her upbringing. This predicament is exactly what we were craving for early since when we thought Chronos was favoring mortals, (but turned out he was not, putting that conflict to a close). Now that Prometheus is here, he’s reopened that argument and it’s really difficult to defend the gods when it sounds like they haven’t learned a thing from this war. May Prometheus be the best villain Mwuahaha!
Poly's from a tropical island, so it makes sense that he wouldn't favor a snowy climate. It's fun how Dionysus' smooth jazz contrasts so heavily with the other background music on Olympus. Certainly suits the mood, considering he's trying to ignore what's going on and drown his sorrows on the matter as much as possible. I love how Athena outright refers to Divine Dash as "Your brother's favorite".
@@ghastlyghifin4029 he’s definitely thinking about happier times while under siege ^ and it’s effective! Lmao yes! Pretty much canon bring the community’s go to dash boon in the first game.

Mh? MH? Are you? No wait hold on. He has dialogue that he didn’t foresee Chronos’ return. Hecate wasn’t aware of what was going to happen either, which is why she has that fight with Nemesis. Has Prometheus been Actively Blocking all forms of foresight? Technically speaking, it should be in his power to do so? At least with the Theoi, they have control over their dominions in a very “What God giveth God taketh away” kind of way (ex. Praying to Poseidon for calm seas in your sea voyage, you still pray to Poseidon if you want the ships of your enemies to be sinked). We see this is true for Chronos (He put the people of the house in time stop prisons, but his whole thing is “Time cannot be stopped”, but he himself obviously can do both as he pleases) so Maybe (and just maybe) Prometheus IS withholding powers to see into the future…… 11:58 petition for Mel to get heavier clothes. Mel baby I love you but that minidress ain’t cutting it for snow areas. At least your brother had pants on. Get a pair of leggings or something. A shawl. Get spidergirl to knit you a sleeve. Like one of those cool cyberpunk/streetwear tops. 12:20 I mean it’s probably temperate 17:43 Sure can’t imagine why. Mh, is it weird that i like the sprite draft version more? 22:43 Man Hephy is so good. Taking full accountability for his mistake. In the words of one my dear friend, How did Aphro fumble this bear so bad? 23:16 You should stop showing up then. Masochist. 32:51 Dio based N1 Trans supporter confirmed. Also, not a fan of his design really, but at least the fact that’s swimsuit makes it marginally better. I hope Mel doesn’t feel too bad about not feeling the vibes or whatever, it’s completely justified. 34:22 …It would be so funny if everyone else, especially Athena, didn’t see him in a while and came to the conclusion he’s been Time-napped and that’s why he isn’t around and Mel is there awkwardly like she doesn’t know he just threw a party in one of the pools 38:32 ATHENAAA :D Oh the box braids look so cool on her! So anyway. Basically zeus’ aegis from H1 + a spear that’s definitely inspired by Hera’s staff, mh? Symbolically it’s probably because she’s the mind behind the power calls in times of emergency but I wonder if in all their altering connections, Supergiant made her a legittimate child. If so, Hera finally has someone to be proud of, if not, well, it’s not unimaginable that Athena managed to win Hera over. I’d even say it’s likely! Athena’s the one child least marked by Zeus’ infidelity, after all, probably the one case in which you’ll likely miss it! I mean most people don’t even know she HAS a mother, they just assumed she spawned in Zeus’ head just randomly one day 46:34 yea she would 47:02 Noooooo baby don’t listen to them we love you
Waddup mang! I see what you mean and you may be right now looking back! I felt she was offended more so that he stole from them than helping mortalkind. My reading comprehension there haha Fair point too haha, she must be disappointed that ANOTHER Titan is on the wrong side. But I wished she showed compassion with how he was treated. It’s fine if she despises the bad acting Titans, but she seemed quick to throw Prometheus in the same bag! rawr* It is important to note that it may be Selene’s first reaction, and she needs to process it all on her own ^ I adore Selene so she’s forgiven. You know Liz!!! I think you’re cooking ^ Much like how I think the Sisters (each representing the Moon) draw power from primarily Selene, the Moon Incarnate. It’s possible Selene may inhibit Hexes if she so chooses. Same logic with Foresight. Now. In my mind, it goes Fates > Prometheus > Apollo. Or it’s Prometheus > Apollo (Fates are not related). Either Apollo couldn’t see into the future because the Fates were captured, thus he physically can’t see what’s pre-written. Or! Now that the Fates are out of the picture, the transfer of power goes to Prometheus, who now controls all forms of foresight as you mentioned ^ I know the Fates and Foresight are different, but think Foresight is more accurate with the Fates working, but now that they’re gone, the future is more muddied. Truuue! Ugh* Liz I can only handle so much if your cooking. (don’t stop) If Arachne could provided cosmetics for Meli to add to her closet, that’d be peak! If there’s a penguin jacket I could purchase for Mel, she needs that for Mount Olympus too. For now we just have Hestia to keep warm, or her sheer will power alone. You know, I lowkey had the same thought. To me it felt the draft version was more sharp? I adored his eye bags and sunken cheeks, as if he’s been full time fighting and not eating. New sprite is subtle, but he appears more round? Least his wings and chest piece. Ig the shape language got to me. Now there’s also a bit of uncanny going on? I think his eyes appear glassy, which may indicate him not being whole, but still makes staring into him off-putting. This Hephaestus is really good! I don’t have much bad things to say about him. There was a dialogue where he still supports Aphrodite? Unless the Aphrodite and Ares bit didn’t happen yet hohoho! Or he has moved on, which again, he’s soo sweet. Eris words and actions do not make sense together LOL. Masochist. I felt the same about Dionysus. Don’t hate it, but I felt designing the god of wine and the goddess of love in the context of war wouldn’t been an interesting challenge! We got Aphrodite, but it doesn’t even seem like she’s out fighting! If anything, it seemed Jen still wanted to have at least one naked design as she originally planned for Hades 1 lmao. And Meli handled that very well imo, asked the appropriate questions and didn’t overstay. She may feel bad about it I fear haha. It’s going to be funny when a Dionysus room appears after Athena leaves. And you know!! It would be really hard for Meli to not spill the beans given this was exactly what she was raised to fight for, and we have a major player not participating. Again, she handling this better than I thought! Athena!!! I likely missed the detail! I do know Zeus had a first wife who was turned to a fly to avoid a prophecy. I remember a dialogue from H1 where Demeter was poking fun at Athena sprouted from Zeus’ head, so seems the story is still in line? What we don’t know is if in the Hades verse, Zeus turned his first wife into a fly. Also, would this be the rare prophecies that have been successfully avoided? Usually, measures against prophecies lead to fulfilling that unwanted prophecy. But Zeus has yet to be overthrown. Yess! That may exactly be what’s happening. Chronos is shouting out to the mortals that Prometheus has his endorsement. Although Chronos claims to support mortals, Prometheus is making real impacts on the polling. If I’m reading this right, we have former President Chronos and his running Vice President Prometheus winning by 8% of the polling! President Zeus and his administration may have to pick up the slack. And a 3% of the votes may be taken by Third Party Hades, wherever he is! I absolutely agree tho, Prometheus saw it was worth it, very much like stealing the fire. Tho I wonder if Foresight is linear? Could he only see one future. For example, imagine if he did ask nicely to Hestia for the fire? Did he see a bad outcome when doing that, OR could he only see the future where he stole the fire, meaning the future is kinda pre-ordained with the Fates design. Again to my headcanon, Fates > Prometheus > Apollo. Love we had Melinoe slip of tongue anti-Titan talk, very interesting character development we’re going to have! LOL it is weird! They’re committing to this bit, but it’s strange if it’s all for jokes right? They keep doing the same joke, but the more elaborate its going, the more I feel the Hypnos hype is real. And yes, Meli is working at 200% on this. Even Hecate didn’t get this far! Thank you! (then I learned later there’s the “Recycle All” button by right clicking (aiyah) Disastrous, I enjoy your overthinking. You continue to overthink, or rather, COOK! You’re cooking! I can only handle so much of that last bit tbh, but never stop cooking!!! NEVER!!!!!
@@Hamstir4 thanks! I love cooking! (Both unironically as in pots and pans cooking and relating to the fact I cannot have one normal train of thought ever, but that's partly the ADHD) But you know you might be onto something. I was framing it more as Prometheus actively blocking the line, in a way but it may also be relating to the Fates. I mean if there's no weavers to weave the future into place there's simply nothing to foresee, but I doubt you could get them to stop weaving, one way or another, point is whatever they're doing now that Chrono has them, Prometheus might have exclusive access. Or maybe they're in time jail, Prometheus is talking out of his ass for some reason, and no one has excess to anything. Whatever the truth is, imagine the immediate panic that spread when the Oracles stop recieving visions? Especially if closely followed by the gates of the underworld swinging open On that note specifically, Chronos might be counting on Prometheus to be the face on the poster, but has Prometheus stopped to think that maybe actively burning Olympus and opening the underworld does NOT make him look like the good guy, no matter how noble his ideals? Especially when paired up with The Guy Most Widely Known For Eating His Sons And Also Patricide That One Time? As for Athena -> there's not quite consensus on whether or not Metis was or not Zeus' wife before Hera. Some say she was, some say she was his first instance of cheating. I think what's causing confusion is that Athena was born after Zeus had Hephaestus split his skull in half (talking about a splitting headache) and in most cases the reason cited for Hephaestus' disability is that Hera tried to have a child All By Herself With No Zeus in a "I don't need you" way after he cheated on her. So since it literally took the help of their second son, who was already an adult himself, to take her out of there, either Athena just was in there for a boatload of years (which i guess, is true either way, she DID come out fully grown) and indeed Zeus was married to Metis before Hera, Athena just took an extra long while to cook up OR The timeline is that Zeus has a fling with Metis while Hera is already pregnant with Ares (or when Ares was a newborn)/ Hera learns about it somehow about the same time Zeus turns Metis into a cricket and eats her, so she vows to spite him and convinces Hephaestus all by herself/ Athena is born fully form when Haephestus is already an adult himself; so the "first wave" of children of Zeus are really all close in age. Then we know the rest, the twins (specifically Artemis first, then Apollo), Hermes and then Dionysus last. Fun fact, if we count Athena as the first child because of Metis possibly being the first wife, that means Zeus....umh, how do I phrase this.... Was his own surrogate mother for his first AND his last child. At least on the godly side. On the mortal side, they never stopped. As for Dio--> I've never seen a more depressed man/god in my life. Man makes Oizys seem cheerful. Dio sweetheart put down the wine, it's ok and normal to feel helpless. Don't quite get WHY, since you're literally the god of madness and actually really fucking scary with an army of followers so drunk and out of themselves that'll beat people up of tear them limb from limb and dance on their graves, also you turn people into dolphins, and I don't quite personally understand why Supergiant took this avenue in particular, but. It's ok nonetheless. You're valid man. God. Mister. Random question: Since Chronos is at play....Do we think Mel will ever use the sand of time for personal time shenanigans? And while that has some cool potential in it of itself..... I mean explicitly, being the goddess of ghosts and stuff, do you think we'll see a younger shade Dora? When she wasn't as faded? I mean faded as in, actually shade like. If she'll have a full human sprite, like Odyssus or Achilles etc have? They're shades, but they haven't forgotten themselves, so they haven't faded. Maybe even temporarily, for Dora, using the sands of time as an ingredient? I don't know, but I do feel like we'll need her to get through to Prometheus, because Mel surely isn't understanding where he's coming from Ps. I'm still betting heavy on the "Moros doesn't remember Dora because he's younger than she is" since in the myth, Doom is one of the "evils" unleashed by opening the vase, which probably just means either the vase was a symbolic seal of the underworld, after which opening the offspring of Nyx were free to reach the surface whenever they needed, or umh....I guess he just wasn't born yet!!
@@disastrouslylargeicedmocha Cooking is very relaxing!! And I am entertained by your thoughts, thanks :) It’s the Mayan calendar again. The moment it can’t foresee the future, it’s an indication of the end of the world!! Armageddon!!! But ya this one is less clear cut than drawing powers from the Moon. I may be giving the Fates too much credit, but I don’t think it’s a coincidence the writers are bringing Foresight and the Fates into the same game. Also, I was afraid of Chronos USING the Fates to weave him a better outcome, but so far it seems he isn’t exploiting their power for victory. It would’ve been sick of Melinoe literally overcoming obstacles similar to Odysseus avoiding many, many moments of doom. It certainly doesn’t look good being allied with one of the worst Titans of all time (haha). We are fortunate to understand Promy as a selfless Titan, likely doing this for mortals. From the gods’ perspective, his reason is picking the winning side, that appears to be Chronos. I’d imagine Promy voice would not be heard if he worked under Olympus, falling into deaf ears. But this way, he is actually louder and getting the message across. Ofc, many mortal lives have been lost this one too, so I’m curious how much thought he put into this too ^ Or or, maybe he does prefer Chronos to win because the gods were dead set on wiping mortals and traitors by the end of this. (but I doubt he foresaw Chronos winning) LOL this is soo confusing. But I do like the idea that Athena has been born growing all this time while inside Zeus, while her siblings were freely roaming about. And honestly, interpreting Zeus as the one giving birth twice!! is based imo ^ Truue! Dionysus is really powerful, so I was surprised he found himself powerless in this situation. The dolphin act has been my favorite from him ^ But fair, it truly has been one of the worst of times for him. Lizzz, I am full from your last cooking. But I’m sold by this idea. Mel will use the Chronos ingredient and with her power to transport herself to other’s minds/ memories. We saw this hinted when peering into Hades’ memories (THAT OCCURRED LONG AGO) and we may use the help of the Time Sands to go back even further, to times that Dora forgot. I’m glad she’s becoming more involved in the story. I would love it if they used the cardboard designs again to set Dora’s lost past, but we also had Hades' memories not be in cardboard, so perhaps it was a one-time thing, alas. Ooo, Doom coming out of the jar was a detail I missed! If this is true, then Doom knows Dora firsthand! I thought he was a mere observing during that incident, but this is more personal than I thought ^
Dionysius, considering the Olympian that was closest to mortalkind. And now he's the only one not fighting, granted he's just partying instead, but still, it's interesting that Dionysius is the only one of the Olympians who has decided that "Eh, what happens happens." What Moros said about Chonos' new golden age, that it would be a time for Mortals, rather than Gods, but we know that Chronos is only using Mortals as a means to an end (ending the age of the Gods.) But Moros' words make me think that Prometheus' truly believes (or has Foreseen) that the end of this war will result in a better future for Mortalkind no matter which side wins, and sided with Chronos simply to hurt the Gods as much as possible until that end goal. That's why he calls Melinoe the Agent of Change. Because Melinoe is going to change things, either by losing (thus allowing Chronos to win the war and build his Golden Age) or by realizing and convincing the Gods that they need to change their ways and change how they treat Mortals in order to prevent this from happening again. I still think Prometheus' main motivation is the benefit of Mortalkind, and hating the Gods is second to that. Athena... The supposedly sensible and wise Goddess, who is so focused on fighting and warring against the enemy that she can't see the bigger picture, that she can't realize that perhaps she was in the wrong for some of the things she and her family on the Mountain Top have done. That perhaps if they had treated Mortalkind and their champion in Prometheus with fairness, or even mercy, this wouldn't be happening. Nemesis is right, the Gods of Olympus deserve their current fate, if Prometheus was in charge instead of Chronos, and if innocent parties weren't getting caught in the crossfire (Melinoe's family, Mortalkind, etc.) I'd say let the Gods fall. Alas, you can't trust Chronos as far as you can throw him. YAY! MORE SKULLY NECTAR! Can't wait to see what else he has to say! Death to Chronos
@@Nicholas86753 I would like to think Dionysus is sympathetic to mortals, thus remains abstained in the matter. However, if he really is all the same with the other gods, I don’t think he’s learned a lesson either LOL. Que sera sera, whatever will be will be!~ I agree Meli will be the ultimate change for a more beneficial institution for everyone, especially mortals. As of now that’s not the case because she literally says, “better hated by mortals than traitor to the gods” paraphrasing. I also agree Prometheus priority is better future for mortals and damning the gods second ^ Curious how clear he can see into the future now that the Fates are out of commission! I would love to hear Athena’s pov on this and about Arachne. My guess is Athena will say the system “works” and there’s no need to change. The worlds been better than when Titans ruled, but ignoring that it could be better for the minority power. If the gods haven’t learned a lesson and insist on being detached from the smaller voices, then it’s time for a change in institution ^ I can’t believe I forgot to nectar Schele Death to Chronos!
@@Hamstir4 if I may make a suggestion, taking Arachne's Keepsake to Olympus to see if Athena comments on it, and Vice Versa taking Athena's Keepsake to Arachne to see if she reacts. Keep up the good work! Remember what Moros said, the Fates don't decide literally everything that everyone ever decides to do ever in history, there is a modicum of free will and self-determination, and a healthy sprinkle of chance and Chaos that affects their weavings, so perhaps Promies vision is unaffected by the Fates being captured. Meli is a bit bias right now, considering her entire family was kidnapped by said traitor's Boss... she'll come around once her family is safe.
@@Nicholas86753 I was just about to finally play a run Nico!!!! That sounds like a sick idea. Reading another comment about Athena's keepsake, I was gonna go to the Underworld after getting her keepsake so it works out! I wonder ^ How far the Fates weaved before they were captured is undetermined, so whatever happens in the future could honestly be anyone's own doing, including the Fates. and yes, Chaos just adds a loophole to any weavings. Reassuring that the Fates are no longer able to meddle in mortal affairs, we could truly see how far free will and self-determination goes. If Prometheus could see life is better off without the Fates, that would also be an argument added to his case. She has plenty of room to correct herself! If anything, it's because she supports the gods deeply, the gods may actually hear her out because she understands them.
EARLY! Also wanted to post some thoughts on the dialogue regarding Prometheus and I agree that almost every thing Melinoe about him has been very annoying (shes still my favorite so theres part of me who kind of loves how mean she can get) but it does reflect a lot on how she was raised by Hecate to live up to her title as a Goddess and how her militaristic upbringing (and generally being raised as this weapon for revenge so early on) always keeps her in this mindset of 'everyone who is outside of my team is aleays enemy and I wouldn't consider any nuances otherwise! " Its really sad to see it with how sour she can get that she could be seen insensitive (especially with the titans are all the same part and forgetting she's talking to Hecate who's a titaness lol) and she really can't see another perspective outside of her own, but honestly, if the story goes forward with how the Gods have wronged so many of the people here (Arachne...) I do think there's hope Mel would have some development. ALSO I think that Prometheus has something under his sleeve since I'm not totally convinced Cronos completely got him on his side, nor is he completely on the God's side either. I've got to say Dionysus just looks sad, he's really trying to repress his surroundings with booze 😭 (also YESS TRANS RIGHTS DIO!!!) and Athena looks absolutely badass, if she already looks this terrifying then I can't imagine how Ares would look!
Thanks for being early c: (I’m late) I was annoyed about Melinoe, but I really do enjoy where this is going! It’s as you say ^ she was raised to hate the Titan that took away her family and broke the “order” of how things have been. Although I took points off for her this episode, she actually goes higher on my character list with the nuances she’s been getting! Nuances in that, she has forgotten that Hecate and Selene were Titans. She’s been drilled down to slay the Titan, she’s generalized other Titans as the same, shrugging off Prometheus’ circumstance and ready to give him life sentence because she found out he’s just the same as the rest. That’s all to say, I love what they’re doing with her. I’m not worried about Meli’s character arc. She’s actually a good person deep down. She can only get better from here! Yes yes yes! I think Prometheus sided with Chronos, but not towards the same goal. Mwuahaha, Chronos doesn’t know what he’s in for LOL. The perks of speaking cryptic 24/7. I did sense Dionysus was just drinking away his sorrows to distract himself. Goes to show how bad the situation is. And I think it’s because of the final boss after Prometheus ^ ofc having Foresight on Chronos’ side is a huge blow too. Mhmmm, trans rights ^ Hmm! My thoughts exactly, not sure if he’s in this expansion, but I'd imagine he’s overjoyed by the situation.
41:14. What did Prometheus do to the deities on Mount Olympus? A Titan like Prometheus who stole the fire of Olympus will suffer eternal punishment. If I see someone trying to commit evil deeds, wrongdoing, and destroy the world of the deities, Melinoe, Nemesis, and I wouldn't let them feel a thing unless we want them to. We twist weapons and punishments to kill Titans. The villain feels it.
@@Hamstir4. I know. But It Was a Crime and a Wrongdoing and he knew it, so don't make that mistake or you will be punished by the deities just like Prometheus.

Why aren't YOU peering in the future, Apollo? 12:23 The ruins of Ephyra have been confirmed to be close to Necromanteion, ruins of a temple devoted to Hades and Persephone, and it finds itself in the north-west side of nowadays Greece, close to the sea. I having lived on the Mediterranean half of my life, I can say that the temperature hardly reaches under 0° C in winter and barely goes 40° C in summer, and that the nearby sea prevents large fluctuations in temperature between day and night (a 3-4° fluctuation on average, compared to the 10-13° fluctuations I experience now in a landlocked country.) (The makeup under the helmet is a bit perplexing but those eyes do inspire fear. 40:12 How dare you, Hamstir. 49:28 SHE'S RIGHT! 1:01:11 It's clever of Schele to say that. He is making sure Melinoë does not hesitate and get in harm's way. I don't think he doesn't like Prometheus, but he wants to keep Meli safe, so he has his priorities straight. Very admirable. 1:01:36 A JET PACK?! Soooooooooo: I know Meli might seem a bit unfavourable towards Prometheus and mortals in general, but you gotta remember her whole life was spent training to be a soldier. She is clearly flawed in her thinking because of that. I believe that all the mortals and people who suffered at the hands of the gods that she met will help her understand the nuance of it all better. She seems to be fated to go through character development. Prometheus seems antagonistic, but he keeps referring to Meli as "Agent of Change". I think he is acting like this to better mortals' standing, despite what Chronos or the Olympian may want. Let's face it: Chronos doesn't give two shits about mortals. He talks big about a golden era, but probably has no real plan of bettering anyone's situation but his own. He is a manipulator and a liar, as we have seen when he asked Chaos the whereabouts of the Fates. The Olympians care little about mortals, and will absolutely ravage them if they win on their own terms. No side should win, and Prometheus knows it. Meli needs probably to change herself, to change fate. The motif of change is very prominent in this game: Be it the phases of the moon, life and death, or just the fact that Chronos, the main antagonist, represents a stale, old world, that wants everything to stay as it once was. The Olympians need to change to prevail, and so does Meli. Time cannot be stopped. Edit: Syntax.
It’s absolutely telling how the gods shrug off what they did to Prometheus. And later it seemed Melinoe undermined that punishment too. About the god of prophecy, I was just reading how Prometheus is likely inhibiting Apollo from peering into the future? Very plausible. I’ll also add that perhaps looking into the future is limited, now that the Fates are out of commission. Because how could you see into a future that hasn’t been written yet? whistle* Thank you for the climate food. Honestly sounds very pleasant as you describe, especially the fluctuations are well maintained. I’m actually more in Vietnam than the Philippines but not worried about the details. But you’d be right, I’m not worried about the climate mwuahaha. All I need is sunscreen! (and you should sunscreen too!) Icarus is here! He’s all grown up!! (or more than before!) I can’t hate Dionysus if he cleared the vibe check in flying colors! I suppose you’re right LOL. Either Shades climbed all the way up, or people literally died on Olympus and just vibed after. When they said queers are going to hell, this is what I’d imagine hell is. She looks amazing! If she’s aiming for fear, honestly hypes Ares more! I dare! This way, you get what you wanted~ Nemesis gets points this episode ^ Schele does manage to bring back the focus! His improvised answer was impressive ^ (he saved himself there too for me LOL) A jet pack!!! Beep beep* May I have a taste? Absolutely brilliant cooking and I agree 100% with every single sentence, words, and letters. I don’t hate Meli at all and this character arc makes very sense. It’s sad because she’s been so deep in training to slay the Titan, she forgets her very adoptive mother is a Titan. And the Moon she worships is a Titan. Meli’s character is soo good because she lets her intrusive thoughts slip and we catch her in the act. We see Nemesis sympathizing with Prometheus, and Meli, although jokingly, was going to call the Gestapo on her. I love the writing is so mature and we get these nuances. This was what I wanted start of the game, and I was worried when Chronos support for mortals was just empty words. No other Titans on his side, just him, supposedly working solo. But Prometheus, you have me salivating! Prometheus likely saw the only outcome was through Mel ^ otherwise, Apollo had a line where once all of this is said and done, they would start a famine or other disasters to punish the mortals afterwards. Prometheus obviously wants to avoid this, when already so many mortal lives have been lost. (the more I talk about Prometheus the more I want to give him unconditional love, so I’ll stop here)
@@DustinKestner honestly, think this goes back to when Jen wanted to have them naked as designs LOL. Looks like she got what she originally wanted with Dionysus.
25:47. First of all, I have never been to Mount Olympus because I have never been there. Also, OMG! What's going on up there? In addition, why does this scene look so cold? This reminds me of the scene where Zagreus appears on the surface and finds his mother Persephone in Hades 1. Why is there no one on Mount Olympus? It's strange that the Boons are still present on Mount Olympus. So where exactly are all the Major and Minor Deities on Mount Olympus? Did the Major and Minor Deities go somewhere else safe?
It is reminiscent of the Surface in Hades 1. Also I hear the Surface theme playing too, but in a more military trumpet. Athena said the Olympian gods are taking refuge, seems their strategy is to aid Melinoe to reach to the top for their final plan. As for the other deities, I believe they they're safe, but not sure!
RE: Freeing the other Titans I suppose Chronos has to balance his need for allies with his need for no competition? I... don't love Dionysus' new look. Like, it's in character, for sure. Shrug. Wherever they're going with this, I hope they don't turn the gods into full on villains. I spent a lot of time growing to like them in Hades 1, you know?
@@mitigatedrisk4264 could make sense ^ except I feel Chronos’ power is very one sided. The fact he took out Mother Nyx with no issue, I feel there’s no competition if he released them all. Unless Titans could resist the timeout attack? Hmm… LOL you know, I wasn’t unhappy, but I was looking forward to Battle Dionysus. Since the start, we see Aphrodite in her war gear and was really interesting! The fact she wears no armor boasts that she won’t get hit. And honestly, that interpretation of the goddess of love out in the battlefield is class!! (Then we find they’re not out fighting, hmm..) Given how they contextualized how Aphrodite would appear in combat, I was applying the same to Dionysus, but well, we don’t see it!! Alas. The gods are definitely better than the Titans, but the game also made it clear that not all Titans were bad ^ I do think the game is positioning the gods as the villains, but not irredeemable. They just don’t see themselves in the wrong LOL. A change in mindset is in order, but ofc that’s a lot to ask for. Educating family members is a global challenge.

Anyway, that was so EPIC and they fixed the mistakes and everything, especially the Boons.
May all the deities on Mount Olympus protect the world. Together, we can all prevail.
She may have the best sprite next to Chaos imo ^ tho could be recency bias
We prevail together!
11:23 looking at Charon's design in comparison to the first game I noticed some key changes:
his hair is puffier while it was wet which would imply that he is not sailing as much as he used to which is surprising since he is the boat man.
he wears silver rather than gold to symbolize his allegiance to both the unspoken and mainly the underworld, perhaps he melted all his gold as a way to help as one of his many contributions to the cause.
Also, all the gold has been turned into Chronos' coins. The ones he's burning have the hourglass symbol from CHronos on them
@@ahmedalissa7620 I have two responses to Charon design:
His hair less wet could mean he has been sailing less since he can’t do his job anymore ^ could also he that his hair has grown longer and they wanted to draw it flowing out more.
Master Chaos has been glamorized too, something to think about ^
Otherwise, we could also interpret that this is how Meli views Charon.

@@theheartofmymystery yes!!! I regret not pointing this out, but I do like this direction of Melinoe and makes sense with her upbringing.

We see this is true for Chronos (He put the people of the house in time stop prisons, but his whole thing is “Time cannot be stopped”, but he himself obviously can do both as he pleases) so Maybe (and just maybe) Prometheus IS withholding powers to see into the future……

If so, Hera finally has someone to be proud of, if not, well, it’s not unimaginable that Athena managed to win Hera over. I’d even say it’s likely! Athena’s the one child least marked by Zeus’ infidelity, after all, probably the one case in which you’ll likely miss it! I see what you mean and you may be right now looking back! I felt she was offended more so that he stole from them than helping mortalkind. My reading comprehension there haha
Fair point too haha, she must be disappointed that ANOTHER Titan is on the wrong side. But I wished she showed compassion with how he was treated. It’s fine if she despises the bad acting Titans, but she seemed quick to throw Prometheus in the same bag! rawr*
It is important to note that it may be Selene’s first reaction, and she needs to process it all on her own ^ I adore Selene so she’s forgiven.
Thank you! (then I learned later there’s the “Recycle All” button by right clicking (aiyah)

@@Hamstir4 thanks! I love cooking! (Both unironically as in pots and pans cooking and relating to the fact I cannot have one normal train of thought ever, but that's partly the ADHD)
But you know you might be onto something.
Especially if closely followed by the gates of the underworld swinging open
On that note specifically, Chronos might be counting on Prometheus to be the face on the poster, but has Prometheus stopped to think that maybe actively burning Olympus and opening the underworld does NOT make him look like the good guy, no matter how noble his ideals?
I don't know, but I do feel like we'll need her to get through to Prometheus, because Mel surely isn't understanding where he's coming from
Ps.
And I am entertained by your thoughts, thanks :)
It’s the Mayan calendar again.
Ofc, many mortal lives have been lost this one too, so I’m curious how much thought he put into this too ^
Or or, maybe he does prefer Chronos to win because the gods were dead set on wiping mortals and traitors by the end of this. (but I doubt he foresaw Chronos winning)
LOL this is soo confusing. But I do like the idea that Athena has been born growing all this time while inside Zeus, while her siblings were freely roaming about. And honestly, interpreting Zeus as the one giving birth twice!! is based imo ^
Truue!
And now he's the only one not fighting, granted he's just partying instead, but still, it's interesting that Dionysius is the only one of the Olympians who has decided that "Eh, what happens happens."
What Moros said about Chonos' new golden age, that it would be a time for Mortals, rather than Gods, but we know that Chronos is only using Mortals as a means to an end (ending the age of the Gods.) But Moros' words make me think that Prometheus' truly believes (or has Foreseen) that the end of this war will result in a better future for Mortalkind no matter which side wins, and sided with Chronos simply to hurt the Gods as much as possible until that end goal.

I also agree Prometheus priority is better future for mortals and damning the gods second ^
Curious how clear he can see into the future now that the Fates are out of commission!
I would love to hear Athena’s pov on this and about Arachne. My guess is Athena will say the system “works” and there’s no need to change. The worlds been better than when Titans ruled, but ignoring that it could be better for the minority power.

Its really sad to see it with how sour she can get that she could be seen insensitive (especially with the titans are all the same part and forgetting she's talking to Hecate who's a titaness lol) and she really can't see another perspective outside of her own, but honestly, if the story goes forward with how the Gods have wronged so many of the people here (Arachne...) I do think there's hope Mel would have some development.

I was annoyed about Melinoe, but I really do enjoy where this is going!
Mhmmm, trans rights ^
Hmm! My thoughts exactly, not sure if he’s in this expansion, but I'd imagine he’s overjoyed by the situation.

Now: I am pretty sure that you are from the Philippines, therefore I can tell you that you would find the climate there to be mild at best, but it is pretty hot compared to the rest of Europe...
17:39 ICARUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS OMG OMG OMG OUR SON!!!!! OUR BOY!!!!!!! LOOK AT HIM LOOK AT HIM AAAAAAAAAAAA
32:54 No questions asked. He just assumes Zag is a woman now and accepts it. What a legend.
34:06 YOUNG SWEET ONLY SEVENTEEN!!!!
34:54 Because the gates of the Underworld are open and thus shades can cross to the world of the living. Danny ain't gonna deny anyone with the right vibe a good drink, no?
38:34 ATHENA?! Those braids look tight, sister. What a great look. (The makeup under the helmet is a bit perplexing but those eyes do inspire fear.
(and you should sunscreen too!)
Icarus is here! He’s all grown up!! (or more than before!)
I can’t hate Dionysus if he cleared the vibe check in flying colors!
I suppose you’re right LOL. Either Shades climbed all the way up, or people literally died on Olympus and just vibed after. When they said queers are going to hell, this is what I’d imagine hell is.
She looks amazing! If she’s aiming for fear, honestly hypes Ares more!
I dare! This way, you get what you wanted~
Nemesis gets points this episode ^
Schele does manage to bring back the focus! His improvised answer was impressive ^ (he saved himself there too for me LOL)
A jet pack!!! Beep beep*
May I have a taste?
(the more I talk about Prometheus the more I want to give him unconditional love, so I’ll stop here)
That new Dionysus is both hilarious and cursed and I'm all for it
@@DustinKestner honestly, think this goes back to when Jen wanted to have them naked as designs LOL.
I like how you leave polyphemus with a cast, like a heated blanket
Poly said he was cold, say less!!
What do you call Prometheus when hes in high school and wanting to dance?
Prom-metheus!

RE: Freeing the other Titans
I suppose Chronos has to balance his need for allies with his need for no competition?
I... don't love Dionysus' new look.
Hmm…
LOL you know, I wasn’t unhappy, but I was looking forward to Battle Dionysus. Since the start, we see Aphrodite in her war gear and was really interesting! The fact she wears no armor boasts that she won’t get hit. And honestly, that interpretation of the goddess of love out in the battlefield is class!! (Then we find they’re not out fighting, hmm..)
Given how they contextualized how Aphrodite would appear in combat, I was applying the same to Dionysus, but well, we don’t see it!!
19:59 the axe can’t block anymore for Charybdis?
@@batter384 you know I missed that detail in the patch ^ so I wasn’t expecting that myself when I got hit. Weird to think they rid the axe block to make that exclusively on the Dark Coat.
DIONYSUS!!!!!!!!
Yeah, it's Dionysus baby!!!
32:07. Why is he naked? He should be ashamed of himself.
I believe he was just swimming by the pool. Better question is, where is his protective gear for more pressing matters!?
@@Hamstir4. If he doesn't care about Olympus like when something bad happens, I hope he wouldn't be living on Olympus anymore.
