Whatever class of insurance you get ,it's a good idea to have a drive recorder. That way if a Thai is at fault in a Thai/Farang accident, the police cannot automatically side in favor of the Thai.
All good info thanks! When we lived in CM we always bought 1st class but it was about 20kbaht a year with tax. But having heard many horror stories over the years we felt it was the safest bet as it seems often regardless of the facts falang is in the wrong of any accident 555 😉
I would reach out to Expat Auto, link in the description. I’m sure that it’s similar to health insurance and depends on age of vehicle and type of vehicle.
@@TheNarrowGate Wow! Definitely worth the price for the coverage then. Sitting here in South Carolina realizing just how messed up the US insurance market really is in comparison. Thanks for the info and the great video!
It’s crazy how expensive car insurance is in the US. We moved here from Upstate South Carolina. What part of SC do you live in? Glad you enjoyed the video!
I really don't see the point in going for second class insurance given the price is still affordable for first class, and you have everything covered. Especially for foreigners where you're invariably the one 'in the wrong'.

Also can we get an update on your Thai lesson's ?
You mean how I am doing on my lessons to learn Thai? I take classes two days a week. May 24 will be one year. I love the class, but it is challenging.
Extremely informative.
Thank you! 😊👍

Goon info thanks.
No problem!
Any insurance to recommend me for my car that I can pay in installments monthly for 10 months. Using my bank account.
You may want to message Expat Auto. Link in description.
16.000 is strange number, I have class one for new car and it is 20 and 22 if you want to pay every month. What company can I get 16.000?

For the Class 1 insurance at 14-15,000 Baht is that per month or for the whole year?
Year 🇹🇭

I live in Sumter (abt 45 minutes east of Columbia), though I hope to eventually follow in y'alls footsteps.
Nice! Let us know if you end up moving to Chiang Mai. 🇹🇭😊

This is like Australia, Rego includes 3rd Party Injury. Vehicle Insurance is separate.
Thanks!
Thank you very much!!! We appreciate it!!!! 🇹🇭
