I always shake my head when individuals or companies who make way more than they need crack down on the little guy who makes a few hundred off of them. Ridiculous and a testement to their integrity.
@@commonwealthflipper The problem Kevin, is like all of the products we sell, Disney has already sold the item and made their money. This is just pure greed, and like their new prices at the parks, par for the course for Disney.
Everyone that sells stuff is a reseller, Disney, Wal-Mart, Target, The Johnson's annual GARAGE sale, Church rummage sales, Auctions car dealers, real estate agents.........
Resellers also include flea markets, yard sales, thrift stores etc... The sad thing is how many of the companies that are complaining about resellers throw so much money into the trash by putting the very product they can sell into the dumpster. It's better for that item to keep on circulating instead of ending up in a landfill. Make your profit and move on!
Disney World has a “limit of 2”, but if they really wanted to limit resellers. They would require Annual Passholders to scan their AP cards to get the discount and limit future sales. Resellers are usually 100% AP holders as they get an extra 20% off.
I only sold one Disney Parks item I found at a thrift store. Honestly it sounds like they want to stop retail arbitrage, which is only one way a person can resell. If they want to stop the sales online of Disney Parks items, I would think they would have to go after everyone selling anything Disney. That would be a good way for them to tick off their fan base even more. There are already alot of people being turned off by Disney especially after the controversial things they done, and some of the new movies they put out. 25 years ago my husband and I went to Disney for our honeymoon. Now even if we had the money, my family doesn't want to go to Disney. We don't agree with what Disney is doing. We are saving up to go to another theme park. Disney right now is their own worst enemy. Retail arbitrage isn't hurting them, or going to hurt them. Their policies and agenda are hurting them.
I love the "get a real job" people out there..Seriously?? Reselling saved my house,my car, my credit..etc!! My husband got Electrocuted on the job he is a lineman(and lives to tell about it) 16 months ago. I had to quit my job to take care of him, he couldn't do anything for himself, and the doctors appointments were 4x a week. About 4 months ago he was able to start driving again. I immediately opened an Ebay account and started selling stuff around the house, now I pick to sell. I work harder and longer at this "not real job" then I did at my "real job"....I assume the people telling someone like me to get a real job has never had hardship hit them with reality!! Also do they tell Walmart ,Target,Bestbuy,etc..to get a real business?? I'm sure they don't mark up their resale products..🤦♀️...
Found a large bag of vintage Gi Jo figurine’s at thrift store today for $2.00. Thank you Commonwealth Picker for sharing all your knowledge. I never would have given that bag of $$$ a second glance if you hadn’t taught me about toys & how popular they are. I love to see your adorable children learning to resell. I always enjoy when they come out & share there sales!! 😁
Maybe they should offer the exclusive items online at a certain (higher) price and then have them in their parks at a "special" price. The collectors could still get their item without the crazy cost of a trip, but Disney would still be recouping a little of the cost of a non ticket sale. Or create a club that people have to subscribe to for an annual fee that gets first chance at the exclusive items.
What i think is ironic is I'm in Florida and know for a fact because I know cast members personally that buy those Limited edition patk exclusives for one purpose to resell it
Can you blame them . They don't pay them squat. Especially the college program kids. I told my kid she should have bought and sold when she was in the program.
You are so right. Over $100 a day for a ticket! Plus they buy their way out of anything. Having lived in Orange county Florida where Disney is I absolutely hate them! I just don't understand how these companies can prohibit anyone from reselling their own items especially when they were purchased legally.
When I saw the title of this video I thought it referred to vintage Disney collectables. I didn't know people were buying stuff at parks just to resell them. I don't see why anyone would object to that. If you can't or won't go to a park to buy the item you want, how does someone selling it on ebay affect you? And for Disney, it sounds like, because of resellers, they're selling more items then they otherwise would. And if they wanted to, as you said, they could sell them themselves through Walmart, or on the Disney website. I don't see how reselling Disney items has any adverse effect on anyone.
@@commonwealthflipper Ah, ok. People really just go in and clean the park out? I find that hard to believe, but if that's what's happening then those resellers just brought all these problems on themselves.
@@asterix7842 yes, you have people who have season passes not to actually go into the parks and enjoy rides or get food etc. They have it just so when special merchandise comes out they get in line early and wipe it out. They will bring individuals with them so they can say that’s a separate person so they can buy even more. They buy everything out and immediately go online and put it up for sale at very high prices. For Disney, this does not make them money. Yes they are selling a product but at the retail cost. This person is not staying to enjoy the park or to eat food or buy other merchandise for themselves. They are there for nothing more than to buy items to resell. Ultimately this is not really making Disney any money and it’s allowing these individuals to make a lot of money off of Disney. In fact, Disney is losing plates and silverware to resellers. They will have special plates or silverware in certain areas of the park. They become so popular that people go there and steal it and go on eBay and resell it. It’s gotten absolutely insane and I guess Disney has just had enough.
the naturally economic law of supply and demand should always be allowed to play out. For a company to try to make their own customers, regardless if they are resellers, out to be criminals and liken them to felons is absolutely inexcusable. They are doing their brand more harm than good acting like Communist. And what they did to the Star Wars franchise with the new movies is unforgivable.
The people complaining about reselling items do know that the original sticker price was also extremely inflated too right? People are okay buying a stuffed animal from Disney for $40 that cost Disney $3 but can't stand someone paying $40 for an item and selling it for $65 ...
Also they 3rd sale price of $65 also saved the 3rd person money because they didn't have to pay the money to go to the park and buy it themselves. Resellers were good for everybody, including Disney, Disney already made their money on the sale.
It really bums me out that resellers are being combined with scalpers in some people's minds. The art of a reseller is to find hidden gems long forgotten by most. The scalpers will go on opening day and buy out items and resell for massive mark up prices.
That's an oxymoron There are people who say those who go to yard sales and thrift stores to find those hidden gems they can make lots of money on are stealing from the poor people so maybe you who only do resell from thrift stores yard sales are stealing from poor people? I do both I live in Florida and I do sell a lot of Disney park merchandise and I make a lot of money at it. I also sell thrifted items I also go to anthropology during clearance sales and buy clothing to sell I prefer to do fashion and Disney merchandise and I prefer to sell items that are new with tags and not used. But I do Go to yard sales go to antique shops and thrift stores and find that $2 plate that I was able to flip for $300 I did my homework to learn how to do that. So maybe thrift stores need to crack down on resellers so they can't take from the poor. Stop pumping yourself up as if you're the only one doing it right. Reselling is a business whether you are selling vintage items new items Disney and universal park items it doesn't matter it's a business and we should all protect each other's rights to sell what we want to sell or they'll start coming after you as well
@@kimmylovesdisney9793 you do the same thing and are accusing others who do it of stealing from the poor? Lmao nobody is stealing anything. Thats not how any of this works. Lol

YEARS ago, Annual Passholders would buy tons of like items, and what they couldn't sell, they would return back to Disneyland. So Disneyland started placing limits, and returns had to be done within 30 days with a receipt. These A.P.s could simply go to another shop and purchase the maximum number again. Disney's programming wasn't specific enough to keep track that the A.P. had already purchased the max at another shop. I have no idea what the limit is nowadays.
Ive been reselling a bit for a while, but been sticking mostly with tools and collectibles. Thanks for explaining single and double stitch, ill ask the dumb question single stitch items are worth more?
It seems to me that if disney restricts people from buying in volume for the purpose of resale it will actually have the effect of increasing the value of the items and driving the resalability of these items even further as there will be fewer items available but the same or even greater demand.
Today is February 1 and this is the first time that I viewed your channel. I just got hit with some common sense. Thank you for your rational viewpoint from every angle. Also, holy crap do I need your space! That is phenomenal and a dream come true!
Disney can ban me from there park. It’s way overrated to spend $250.00 per day, per person, to stand in L O N G LINES & SPEND HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS FOR TICKETS, PARKING, ICE CREAM, LUNCH, HOTEL ETC…….ETC………. NOT FUN!!!
I’m from Kansas and you said a mouthful on expenses! The flight, hotel, food, park pass (don’t forget the rides, if u go you are going to do some rides and very expensive food while in the place) then the expense of buying the item! I’ve been with my family to Disney world and land years ago. Those times were pretty much one time things. I could not even dream of going to those places again. So someone that lives in California or Florida that have a pass and can get in to buy something for me is great! Shame on Disney for cutting into the little guys business so they can make a few extra bucks! Of course they won’t make that money because I won’t be buying!
So people like me who are not going to be able to go to a Disneyland (Australia) would miss out on these specific items that otherwise I would have only been able to purchase through a third person market such as Ebay.
i found a disney resort mug at Goodwill for 50 cents and resold it for 30 plus shipping..some people will buy anything with Disney on it..but this mug was an Anniversary type deal with almost all the Disney characters on one mug..it was a beautiful piece.
I got the last 3 Nightmare Before Christmas that our store had for $2.90 each...I wouldn't have thought to grab them if I hadn't seen your previous video...THANKS!
Here in California Disney store and parks items are already starting to show up at Gooodwills. I have seen the Goodwill truck leaving Disneyland too. Disney wants to make us believe they don’t need resellers but I see otherwise.
These companies are getting ridiculous. I repurpose toys into Christmas ornaments and sell on Etsy (along with a ton of other people) and I had my items taken down for intellectual property infringement which is insane. I bought the original item and the company already got their money. I am not saying anywhere that my ornaments are a licensed products, in fact it says quite clearly that they are upcycled toys in my titles. The fact that these companies think that they should be able to control their consumers to the point of telling them what to do with their own property that they paid for is ridiculous. The supreme court has already said that they aren't allowed to do that in the "First Trade Doctrine". Sites like Etsy,. Amazon and Ebay need to push back against this kind of overstepping before it's too late, instead of just rolling over and deactivating listings.
My wife and I just became official resellers this year and we have a disney vacation club membership, while I wouldn’t clear shelves for reselling I definitely would buy a few units of certain items to offset our trip cost. Flights certainly aren’t cheap, our membership isn’t cheap and the food prices are certainly high as well. When we go to Disney we pin trade and we’ve traded with Florida residents that trade in parks all the time, I’d hate to see this become an issue where they make bans. I honestly don’t think Disney would make a global Ban, I imagine their sales would take a big hit and they’d course correct. Like you said, they’ve been pros at divorcing people from their money for decades and they will not deviate from that practice.
I think part of the problem is not all resellers are like you. You may not buy the shelves out, but some resellers do. I think Disney is trying to get control of that problem. It would be very simple to solve the problem, on the current limited editions have buying limits to prioritize park visitors for those items. For overstock items that are no longer being produced or sold put them in a clearance section and in that section let the buyers go crazy and buy as many as they want. Or they could put their overstock online and sell it there eliminating the 3rd party reseller middleman. This would allow the park visitors to be the priority in procuring these limited edition items, and allow those who are unable to visit the parks to collect the items. There are multiple solutions to this issue and they don't involve going after resellers. I probably should make a video about this LOL.
Exactly I live in Florida and resell Disney I don't clear the shelves and most of the time I won't go to special events because it's too crowded and most of the time it ends up at the Character warehouse. I don't bring people with me to get more than 2 items now if I do want 2 items to sell and one for myself I will take a bag out to my car and then go back and get another 1. But I do see people that take a lot and a lot of people with them that's why they had to crack down on the limit 2 That is a bit greedy when people are in there buying 20 of 1 item so no one else can get any and that does bother me even being a seller
I'm a reseller and a huge disney fan, RunDisney in particular. I don't support a ban but I do highly support limits for purchasing things at the parks and disney events. When I go to Orlando for a race weekend at the Disney Parks, I want to be able to buy the rundisney merchandise. But certain items, spirit jersey, ears, coffee mugs, magnets, those items sell out almost immediately and it sucks being a runner in line for merchandise watching people walk out with trash bags full of these items knowing that my only shot at getting one is to pay double the price on ebay Limit everything to one or two per person and at least make it to where one or two people can't buy everything in bulk. It's not going to eliminate the problem but it will give non resellers a chance to get items.
Exactly.... if people are buying 30 to 60 items before the next person can Enter the store...... that really stinks. I am all for Resellers. But this Ban makes sense on the Exclusives and stuff you just wont be able to find(except back Online)
If Disney tripled the amount available it would drowned the market and resellers would no longer be in business. This is a Disney problem not a reseller problem. This problem could be solved so easily but they don't want to do it.
I agree, I ran the Dopey Challenge and many items were sold out before I arrived in Orlando. Race weekend merchandise should be exclusively for runners with bibs. Non-runners can purchase left over items the next week.
I don’t have any issue with companies putting restrictions on their first party direct sales, but really take issue when companies try to use programs, like eBay’s VERO program, to limit or restrict the reselling of their products in secondary markets.
I find it funny when people throw around the “it’s my right” phrase but generally forget about the rights on the opposing side. Yes it’s my right to sell an item I bought but it’s also their right to not allow me in the park if they think I’m a reseller.
Indeed on the older analog/burner phones. No matter the reason, flip phones do well. I mean most cell phones can sell for $10-30 up to XYZ. Years ago I got 40 or so Sanyo, Ericson, and NEC flip phones all sealed. Probs paid $4 each (bundled with cell phone gear). New OEM batteries for decades old phones can be bank and easy to store and ship.
I live about 20 minutes from Green Bay, and you can't throw a rock without hitting a yardsale that isn't selling Green Bay Packer merch up here.....lots of times vintage stuff. As far as the right to sell what you own, that's great and all, but how come then there is a VERO list on eBay? Why can't I sell that P90X dvd I bought and now have no use for? How come some companies can get around that rule of being able to sell items you own?
In my opinion p90x is abusing the law. You are allowed to sell p90x. They are just claiming that what is being sold is counterfit. It is not most of the time.
I hate when places put limits and I've had my kids buy stuff for the simple fact I have six kids. I take them to a theme park or something I want to buy six one for each. I've done that for years at stores that limit stuff and when I want more then limits allow because of my family size, the older kids also purchase items.
I agree with some of the New items getting picked up. Legos at my local Walmarts sell fast in October and November. If you wait for December 1st you wont see much in the Lego Aisle. I know a lot of it goes right back up on Ebay. But then the prices are only 10 to 20 dollars higher on the bigger sets because Ebay is flooded with Walmart Legos. Or at least it seems that way.
I have a shirt from the movie Witness -there were 2 types -the Black one had INDIANA STOLTZFUS ( in th Raiders font ) and the light Blue had a Amish boys head and the word WITNESS under it - most of the crew bought one - I have the light Blue one ( I was an extra / buggy in it )
I hadn't thought about it but I think Kevin is right. As more of these brick and mortar stores go the way of the dodo bird, the more these corporations are going to try and fight back. We're seeing the same thing with traditional mainstream media lobbying for internet censorship because the independent media is crushing them.
The only difference between now and 20 years ago is now we’re selling stuff online instead of in yard sales, flea markets or thrift shops. Disney stuff has always been re-sold in the secondhand marketplace. It’s the Internet and the online marketplaces that has Disney thinking they might be able to control it because they can see who is selling it, but it doesn’t give them the right to do it. Huge overstep shame on them.
Although I watch all of your videos, I have to say this was probably the most informative video I have seen from you yet! I don’t like the slippery slope this could be become, but i appreciate the way you broke it all down and really took the time to show both sides of the issue. ❤
I love these debates. Disney is "a reseller" they don't buy the Goofy Plushy for $2 and sell it for $2. In fact Disney marks the item up more than the resellers do...AND..Disney can always order more and destroy the secondary market value for some of these rarer items.
@Big Dog I didn't get the vax...but anyway. Does Disney buy stuff at a "lower price" and then "re-sell" the same item at a "higher price?" The answer is YES! Your mom is calling from upstairs..dinner is ready.
@Big Dog anyone that uses the term "Lil boy" probably didn't graduate middle school, so I'll stop picking on you. lol. Lastly; "please work on your sentence structure.
@Big Dog I don't know what a "foend" is because I don't "speak stupid"..lol. When you use capital letters that means you are yelling...are you triggered? LOL.
@Big Dog I hear that a lot. Until I show up and then they start with the "I was just joking" or they "no show." Which I'm sure is what you will do. Usually pussies hide behind alt accounts and they can't be trusted to follow through, so I'm sure you'll no show.
You are too kind. Disney, the company, is no saint. They have no problem sticking it to the customers. And I say if you snooze, you lose. If I want to buy something to resell, that’s my business.
Yep, see the writing on the wall dumped most of my clothing since these auction are making them only worth a few bucks and increasing my handmade items at least I get a better profit per sale
Disney is a business. First and foremost at the end of the day (or quarter) if the allocated resources don’t reveal a profit, said campaign will be abandoned. How much money is Disney going to invest in enforcing this? How much do they intend to recover?
I don’t understand why one would need to go to a park when you can buy everything online that is at the parks? I have even called the parks before and ordered things.
Kevin, just wanted to say that this might be the best communicated and wisest 15 minutes of UA-cam I’ve seen. I can see why you were a teacher and I can see why you are no longer a teacher (your opinions are contrary to our public education system). I would like to expound a little more by saying that I’m afraid we have moved toward a “nanny state” more and more because of people like these criticizing people buying for resell. My opinion is that a large part of the strength of the US is because individuals were/are willing to work hard to convince others to change what they are doing, but now they just want to complain and have the government or a corporation do it for them. It’s a bad situation to find ourselves in and if we don’t correct, we’ll have soon lost our freedom due to laziness.
All this talk of Disney being the problem or flippers being the problem. THE PROBLEM IS THE BUYERS. The people willing to pay crazy unreasonable prices.
So basically disney is saying even if you buy our products you dont own them.I guess ford, chevy and everyone else will try to keep us from reselling our used vehicles
Besides a reseller I’m also a Disney employee. I just heard the new cast merchandise that was just release is being sold online for a lot of money. Also the 100 year merchandise if cut you will get fired which is understandable. Now if I find a use Disney parks merchandise at the thrift store or my own personal stuff they have no say so. This is more for the people that over buy to overpriced and resell
Watch for old Pittsburgh Pirates McCutchen shirts. Signed for a year with them. I'm from Pittsburgh, this is so EXCITING!!!! AND I'm sure, any old school Steelers Franco Harris Jersey's are in demand. (But I'm sure you knew that 😁)
My kind comment - just buy your Disney stuff through Commonwealth Picker like I do ... well just 1% of it - I'm one of those that love to buy stuff from the park - we have resold a couple things but usually just keep for ourselves.
EBAY ISSUE..... have you ever heard of this happening......made a sale for 41.41 total. It was a Christmas stocking but, between listing and sell date a mouse chewed a hole in it. I contacted the buyer, and cancelled the sale. For whatever reason EBAY released the funds to me, after I had asked for cancelation, but it won't process.
We took our kids to Disney when they were little. There parks are overpriced and they make a fortune off sales in the parks. I think it would be bad publicity for Disney to ban people who buy there products in the park and resell it. Bad publicity is bad for sales
How do the companies get away with vero's on ebay? Why can they stop you from selling certain things? Like beach body etc.. if there is that law? Confused
How can they do that. If you pay them what they want for the merchandise. It is yours and they should not be able to tell you what you can do with something that is now yours. No longer theirs any more.None of their damn business what you do with your stuff
It is kind of scary thinking that Disney or other corporations could actually track someone who is a small time or casual seller. I have never been to Disney world because of the expensive tickets, but if I choose to purchase or sale something on ebay or even a garage sale how would they track this? It could end up being an authentication process like with high dollar tennis shoes.
At the end of the day Disney is a company and they love money. I agree they just want to stop getting complaints. If they do mass produce items then they run the risk of losing the hype behind things being sold out. Or the “magic” as they would say lol. If they start tracking the purchases of pass holders they’ll eventually have less passholders. I don’t see them following through with tracking down secondary selling websites as that wouldn’t be good for their brand either. If by some chance they do I think they’ll be going after folks that have bulk product.
What about the Disney cast connection store? Only open to Disney employees and guests. I watched a yt video showing all the deals they get, including furniture, clothes, toys , ears, pins, plush and more. Deep discounts on merchandise.
I am a DVC owner and go to Disney several times a year. I do not always go into the expensive parks. I have over purchased and put my excess items on eBay or Mercari. I guess I will look at my purchases and just return them before I leave if Disney cracks down on reselling. I live a thousand miles from Disney so I do don't go there to buy things to resell. I believe the biggest Disney resellers are Disney employees who get a 40% discount on merchandise and the Florida residents who get cheap annual passes. Cut down on the ability of Florida residents to purchase at the parks which will shoot Disney in the foot and the reseller issue goes away.
Something is going on with UA-cam seems like every other video I watch halfway through the video the mouths don’t line up with what they’re saying like the timing is off on the sound, weird.
Disney lost $123 billion in market value last year in 2022. Down 44%, most since 1974. They will lose more than that this year if they keep going down their same path!!! 🤔

@@pickinboogers4u Well your last statement is why I think it is VERY important that we care about all of these fights. We should fight it anywhere and everywhere we can.
Disney wont make as much selling their merch in their stores if people cant buy to re sell and it could make the products even more valuable if you cant buy them on ebay anymore.
almost everything we buy is from resellers, stores, car lots, you name it. stores buy from some one, raise the price and "resell" it There's only 2 ways to get stuff , grow it or mine it and there are resellers at every step
The problem isn't restricting the sale at the source, they have every right to do that. They also have a right to put restriction on first pass holders and what they can do with their discount and put purchase limits on them. The problem I see is the Disney platform doing what Otterbox does and start using the eBay VeRO program to start taking listings down and ruining people's livelihood because resellers could be banned from using the program for reselling their property. Otterbox shouldn't get away with that by the way, using VeRO to take down legitimate listings is a violation of the first sale doctrine.

We bought annual passes to Universal and ultimately paid everything off by flipping Harry Potter wands.
Very good points. The "problem" is easily solved if they want it to be.
What i think is ironic is I'm in Florida and know for a fact because I know cast members personally that buy those Limited edition patk exclusives for one purpose to resell it
no doubt.
Can you blame them . They don't pay them squat. Especially the college program kids. I told my kid she should have bought and sold when she was in the program.
Disney has starting getting incredibly greedy. It’s ridiculous.
You are so right. Over $100 a day for a ticket! Plus they buy their way out of anything. Having lived in Orange county Florida where Disney is I absolutely hate them! I just don't understand how these companies can prohibit anyone from reselling their own items especially when they were purchased legally.
They keep bringing “wokeness ” into their movies and their movies don’t do as well as expected so they try to make it up in other ways, in my opinion.
Families have to go into debt just take their kids in a Disney vacation. Then they have to wait 1-3 hours in line for popular rides/attractions.
Disney stock fell 44% in 2022 because they couldn't stay out of politics! Disney is overrated IMO! I agree that they are ridiculous!
I think it is more about the folks at the parks who want to buy the item but there are none left.
@Big Dog What are they doing that's illegal?
the naturally economic law of supply and demand should always be allowed to play out.
This right here!
Lol
@@kimmylovesdisney9793 Stealing from the poor is a little excessive imo. You are making a lot of assumptions about me without knowing anything about me. That is why the internet is so warped and why things like this are an issue. We are so quick to attack one another without any insight to who they are and what they do. You assume that I don't pay up on things at yard sales, or educate the people that are selling those items with the knowledge that I have acquired. I haven't sold anything in almost 2 years. I just go for items that I want in my collection anymore. How about stop attacking people and learn more about who they are.
@@justincosby2258 you completely missed what I said. Of course I don't agree with what OTHERS SAY but oh many ppl get angry at resellers in thrift stores because they caused the price hikes in the thrift stores and take items to sell that low income ppl need! At no part of my comment did I say I didn't do it. Try to understand so as immature as it is 》lol
I agree with you 100% about the Disney discussion. I always appreciate your input. ❤
That Disney Diaper bag was the one I used with my oldest Son. He is 36
My husband and I are super curious about the KS Jayhawk plate you have in the background of this video!
Well they already have restricted them to two per person so that might be contributing already.
NOT FUN!!!
Thank you Kevin for keeping us aware of issues and current changes that affect us resalers.
I better list my Disney stuff now 😂😂😂😂
Thank's for stopping by. Hope you are doing well.
Not all people can afford to go to the parks. So sometimes they buy from Ebay.
A flip-phone! Whoa! That's a flashback! LOL!
Love the "fireplace" LOL
You are far to young to have had one of those right??
@@commonwealthflipper LOL!! Riiiiight……!! 😂
Disney's public reputation is in the dumps. Fuel for the fire
Love to watch the treasures you find. Like seeing what people are looking for and buying. You have the best videos on reselling, etc. Thanks Kevin!♡
Wow, thank you!
Amazon and Ebay need to push back against this kind of overstepping before it's too late, instead of just rolling over and deactivating listings.
agreed.
I feel once I buy something that item whatever it is, belongs to me after that point.
Couldn't agree more!
If Disney tripled the amount available it would drowned the market and resellers would no longer be in business. This is a Disney problem not a reseller problem. This problem could be solved so easily but they don't want to do it.
@@michaelrichards669 Also people can onlyu buy 2 items each so that simply isn't happening.
I agree, I ran the Dopey Challenge and many items were sold out before I arrived in Orlando. Race weekend merchandise should be exclusively for runners with bibs. Non-runners can purchase left over items the next week.
Oh! I wish I would have seen that jersey! I love the all-around, and that was very nice!
Thanks for all you give us Kevin
I don’t have any issue with companies putting restrictions on their first party direct sales, but really take issue when companies try to use programs, like eBay’s VERO program, to limit or restrict the reselling of their products in secondary markets.
I find it funny when people throw around the “it’s my right” phrase but generally forget about the rights on the opposing side. Yes it’s my right to sell an item I bought but it’s also their right to not allow me in the park if they think I’m a reseller.
I think I made that point muliple times in the video.
@@commonwealthflipper you did and I agree with you.
Excited to get my Dirty Dancing T-shirt. Thanks Kevin!

Damnit... The vague thumbnail got me again LoL 😂😆
lol
I have a shirt from the movie Witness -there were 2 types -the Black one had INDIANA STOLTZFUS ( in th Raiders font ) and the light Blue had a Amish boys head and the word WITNESS under it - most of the crew bought one - I have the light Blue one ( I was an extra / buggy in it )
I got my Ikea bags I had for sell on Bonanza removed because it was considered illegal per copywrite laws on their website.
I hadn't thought about it but I think Kevin is right. As more of these brick and mortar stores go the way of the dodo bird, the more these corporations are going to try and fight back. We're seeing the same thing with traditional mainstream media lobbying for internet censorship because the independent media is crushing them.
How can any company ban you from selling something you own?
If you buy something from anyone it’s yours and you should be able to sale it,give it away or anything else you want to do with it.
Omgeee the Boosters are so darn cute!! 😻
Look at Turner just coming into his own with his quick witted " well it's called trash" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Glad to see Sophie and her new brother getting along. 😍
@Big Dog so they do get it at a lower price and resell it for a higher price..lol. Please just stay off the internet
They will have to ban it for everyone. Unless they stop selling multi quantities from repeat customers. It's easy to figure out who a reseller is.
So basically disney is saying even if you buy our products you dont own them.I guess ford, chevy and everyone else will try to keep us from reselling our used vehicles
not really no. They aren't saying that. Tokoyo Disney is saying that if you resell them you aren't welcome back in the park.
@@commonwealthflipper This is really going to backfire in their face
On a different note..... Have you heard Murphy USA gas stations no longer accept Walmart gift cards at all (as of the end of December 2022)
I don't even like disney. I went to disney when I was 18 and have never wanted to go back. I live in Florida.
Confused
I love your channel! Thanks for the great advice!
How can they do that. If you pay them what they want for the merchandise. It is yours and they should not be able to tell you what you can do with something that is now yours. No longer theirs any more.None of their damn business what you do with your stuff

Was waiting for that packers shirt to go for sale for months and then I missed out on it LOL :(.
Sorry
Or just make more of the product and make it less profitable to resell and all is well.
You nailed it, same with other exclusive toys. Just make more, just sell them at more places.
Yeh, they screwed florida residents. Had great deals on florida residents passes. Everyone bought. Not anymore since 2022. No one buying. We dropped our passes. They got super greedy. Too bad. We loved going .
It isn't their merchandise anymore once they sell it, it's somebody else's.

@@pickinboogers4u Well your last statement is why I think it is VERY important that we care about all of these fights. We should fight it anywhere and everywhere we can.
Disney wont make as much selling their merch in their stores if people cant buy to re sell and it could make the products even more valuable if you cant buy them on ebay anymore.
good point.
almost everything we buy is from resellers, stores, car lots, you name it. stores buy from some one, raise the price and "resell" it There's only 2 ways to get stuff , grow it or mine it and there are resellers at every step
Nike has done this with banning potential resellers (people who have multiple orders) from ordering online.
How would they know if you are a reseller to ban you from the store
Once I buy something anywhere, I should be able to do what I want with it.
