If you take the bolt out on the trigger handle side of the frame it leaves an m14 or so thread, you can thread a bolt thats been welded to a longer bar so you have more control over the torque for bigger holes.
Bought the 92cc with plenty of Power, used mine to dig one hole about a foot deep then it stopped. Flywheel broke in half, now have to locate a new one.
They can break your wrists, the amount of torque they produce, you can definitely hit the water table if you close to sea level or near a creek bed. The water table is only a few metres down in many parts of Australia.

Thanks for the review and we bought one yesterday with the same auger bits for $530 aus delivered but not off eBay. I wonder how they can make the borer auger and the bits, import them into Australia and then the supplier sells them with free delivery for $530.
Yeah, they're certainly well priced for what you get. Since purchase I've unfortunately bent the 100mm auger. I was using it on a part of our land which had some chalky rock about 200mm down and it got stuck. Needed to wiggle it, got a bit over zealous and it bent slightly. So, one thing I reckon these need is a reverse gear - that would be a great help. The other thing I found out later is that if you press the button on the top of the engine it pulls over without the massive compression! I should have read the instructions and learnt this earlier!
I found when using mine to only just have you finger on the very end of the trigger so when it grabs your finger will slip off. Natural reaction is to grip tighter when it jerks
Its normal break in, 25 :1 mixture. After 2 gallons of that you can switch to 50:1 and be just fine. The smoke is also normal at 25:1 with a new 2 stroke. For noobs to 2 strokes thats a pretty standard break in cycle. Itll also increase in power so beware there, 96cc at full throttle can snap a wrist clean.
for larger dimeter should drill 100mm hole first and then 300-400mm. The large drills are indeed difficult and can cu your leg off. This machine is not a joke.

This engine is unobtainable nearly worldwide, there is a slim chance that GIANTZ somehow is using it though. Would you ever be able to measure the bore of the piston?

Just purchased one today :) for exactly what you are doing. What diameter copper logs are you using ? 75mm looks like. And what Auger for that size pole are you using and are you just backfilling with just dirt or cement
Hi Tye, first off - our plans got blown out of the water! We bought the bush block and hole digger mid 2020, mid covid mania. The plan was to use round 100mm width x 1800mm height treated pine posts. Sink them 600mm and end up with 1200mm above ground. For the flatter part of our land we'd back fill with stones. However, there's a dip in the block, so we'd use concrete or an 'anchor' to stop the post raising when we tensioned the wire. None of this transpired as i got a job in Adelaide. Our block is in Vic. We ended up using 'star pickets' to erect a quick fence. "To be continued....". All the best Tye.
G'day Hamed. Unfortunately not mate. I think some of the STIHL ones do - but they cost a heck of a lot more than this. As you can see near the end of this vid, when i used the 30cm Auger the pole digger damn near ripped my arms off after getting caught. The technique I use is to feather the throttle rather than having it fully open. That way if it catches on something the engine isn't going full throttle, thus reducing the twist/grab on my arms. I also brace the handles against my leg to reduce how much it could twist if caught. Cheers mate.
G'day Muddy, apologies for the late reply sir, me and the misses just arrived back from Dandenong Market - but I digress. The only fluids I put in this bad boy on startup was the oil/fuel mixture. I've just spent the last 1/2 hour digging around for the manual and thankfully was able to find it. I couldn't see any mention of it stating that gear oil needed to be added - so I assume it's prefilled. I can see the manual states: "Gearbox oil type: 3# Lithium grease". I can also see that it states: "After every 50 hours it is recommended the gearbox grease should be replaced." - it goes on to explain how to do this. So, I reckon it's prefilled chap. Hi Aaron. I've only used it in sandy soil and rocky chalky soil. The machine is only as good as your own strength. As soon as it catches a root or rock it will transfer all its torque to your arms. To counter this affect i have braced the handles against my leg which helps. It's a good idea to feather the throttle too. It would be strong enough in clay soil, but i think your arms would have trouble fighting it. I must create some form of brace to take the stress off my arms. Cheers.

If you drill the small hole first the auger doesn't have a centre to locate itself.
Terrible advice.

Had mine for a month and it just failed.
Now sounds like some bit of metal is loose :(
