From a Leinster man, I would not rule out the Saints, they play an impressive style of rugby and are great finishers, should without doubt be a great semi. I think Leinster should have enough to take the win. Toulouse v Quinns, I can only see Toulouse taking this one comfortably by two scores. Both Toulouse and Leinster have 9 Champions cups won, with Toulouse winning 5 and Leinster 4, they know how to get past the post and it is not easy.
From a Leicester man who can’t stand Leinster as you guys can’t just let us win in recent years and saints are the local loud little neighbours… I wouldn’t put money on either team to win and it’s going to be a great game!
I think in France the common view on the ubb harlequins is that ubb shat the bed by nit showing up in the first 15 minutes than a massive quins performance. Besides ubb is known for having the deadliest backs in top 14 but a very average forward pack. So when they win, they will make you look very very silly, because penaud bielle biarey or tambwe will score tries for fun but they are not à complete team at least not just yet. Toulouse is à different beast altogether. It doesn't mean, of course, that they are already qualified, but i don't think they will make the same mistakes or show the same weaknesses as ubb did. If they are to win this one, harlequins will have to show more than they did in the quarter final. Do they have it in them, only time will tell. Still it should be a great game of rugby, may the best team win
@@clementbatut4053 Yeah and obviously it was quins vs no jalibert or penaud which is for a team that relys on no backs, is not a great look. Quins will turn up and try to score out the blocks and if they dont get tries early, their confidence could wane. But basically i see this going two ways: a very tight game to the last minute or an absolute beat down by toulouse, talking Toulouse 60 - 35 with quins clawing most of that back in the last 20 minutes to make it almost respectable. UBB were mentally rocked a few times, but clearly felt like they would win in the end, where as toulouse seem experienced enough not to know they will win, but to know they HAVE to Make the win happen and know they can. small but key difference.
It's going to be a funny one for me this year. I'm a Leinster fan but have been living in England for the last 12 years or so. My adopted team is Saints, I've been up to watch them a few times this year and my son plays in minis rugby festivals up at Franklin's Gardens. So I think I'll be going for both teams. I just think Leinster will be too strong. Can't wait though.
I would expect Leinster to win but it will be very close. Northampton are a really good side with plenty of form . 1 or 2 scores . It will be a bad day for Leinster if they lose this one, 80,000 fans will show what world rugby is missing out on by bypassing Ireland to hold a WC..
The RDS is Leinster home stadium not the Aviva so it could have been played there. It was unavailable however because they are doing prep work for the UEFA cup final
Regards hosting the semi outside of Dublin, there’s also Pairc Ui Chaoimh in Cork city, hosts approx 40k, Munster played Crusaders there back in February. Could have been an ideal venue.
I think Quins will get battered. Toulouse beat them 47-19 at the stoop in group stages and the beating will probably be worse in France. I can see Northampton keeping it close for 60 but unfortunately think Leinster will prove be too strong. Hopefully I am proven wrong cuz would love an all English final but doubt it.
Nonsense making something of psychological issues for Leinster and not Saints, it's a semi.... ???!!! If Saints keep it tight to let psychological aspects to kick in, they lose. They have to score fast and continuously throughout because a tight game is Leinster experience to win.
Leinster have a full team of Internationals who have just won the six nations playing in Croke Park with 80000 fans behind them and well rested...Northampton won't know what hit them.
The Leinster 23 won’t have played a game in 3 weeks if Northampton attack them from the start ! By the time Leinster get into there stride the game could be over

The little smile on your face when you ask if quins can beat tolouse says a lot more than the words following haha. We go with a fools hope, but hope.

Go Saints &Quins, the Pride of English rugby with salary caps.I believe in the boyz😅

If the game was played there, there would be more Saints fans. 😂
Home advantage should mean exactly that. It's not given, it's earned. The whole home country but not home city/venue is BS
Do one for the Challenge Cup as well, SAFFAs about to pack the Stoop! For the Boks for the Sharks!
Semi Finals all to play, to tight games.

They never played in croke park during this years six nations
They haven't played in croke Park in years dude. Not since the Aviva was built

lol yea right
