Fruit Tarts Recipe:
Cream Together:
1/2 cup softened butter
3/4 cup white sugar
Add in:
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
And Beat.
Then Add:
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1-1/2 cups flour
2 tsp lemon zest
Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes
You're gonna want to make the "dip" in the middle as soon as they come out of the oven! Also do not over bake!
FILLING
1 8oz cream cheese
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
Mix all together
Assemble and top with fruit of choice! Store in the fridge.
ENJOY!

It is good that your family has taught you some things to help you out. Little House on the Prairie was all our inspiration! I really always dressed that way (prairie fashion). It is weird that older order Mennonite fashion is trending, but it is nice that they are wearing a more modest attire. I am a Mennonite who has dressed this way at our conventions but am the ONLY one dressed in that way (so they always end up photographing me which feels odd). haha. Anyway, your fruit tarts look so tasty and cute!

Those tarts looked very yummy, my mom always wore dresses when I was younger, and she always wore an apron over it when she cooked. Watching todays video reminded me of my mother, who passed when COVID started. thank you.

You have to be authentic and who you are. For those of the Mennonite faith wear your dresses. They are nice. I’ve often wondered if I could pull it off but then I realized it was becoming “trendy” as you said and that’s just not me. I am of a different faith and am a mother of seven and a full time homemaker and a wife…. While I don’t wear dresses other than on the sabbath day or on a Few other occasions, I usually have a “uniform” I wear that I am comfortable in. But I do wear an apron every day from the time up until the time I go to bed! Each person does their own and brings their own beauty into their work the best they can. Keep up the good videos! You have to do what you do for the right reasons… I admire that.

Yes I used a mini cupcake tin 😍 I didn’t really let them cool before I put the filling in, I just filled them then put them in the fridge soon after :) it probably would work best to let them cool first 😌

Where did you get your dress? It’s beautiful and feminine. I think it’s wonderful to dress nicely for your family. I’ve never understood people who dress down on weekends for “just their family.” I try to look my best for those I love 💗
