You have a beautiful red undertone to your skin and I've found SO many foundations cater more to that than golden. I'm curious to see a few of their darker shades on women with a different undertone because this is really red.

Well, this is going to be my very first Covergirl foundation! I didn't rock the Queen Collection and again not intentional and I wasn't mad. As a teen and young adult their advertising was not directed towards someone like me and it was what it was. But I'm intrigued with this. I guess because of the sheerness of the formula they don't need a lot of shades. Either way I'm going to find out.

EDIT: I’m elated that it’s giving more coverage because the Chanel was a little too light on the coverage side. It is honestly giving you the look of ‘naturally this is my skin’.

Ive been using the Rose Inc skin enhance serum foundation (shade 130) for the past year and it's so good! I thank its the same kind of formulation as the Chanel and Covergirl
I always wanted to try the Rose Inc. one. I have oily combo skin, do you think it will last on that kind of complexion?
@@Neenerella333i have normal to dry skin and still use a powder to give it more longevity during the work week. So possibly it may work for you if you powder too, i hope that’s helps!

This is gorgeous! I'm so happy this is the first review of the year. I have a Chanel dupe and the new NYX Fat Oil Slick Click are dupes for the Makeup by Mario's Moisture Glow. The Drug store and Drug store adjacent brands have started the year STRONG!

This type of foundation in general it seems brands believe don’t require many shades 🧐
The trouble I'm facing is figuring out how much of that goodness is attributable to the Dannessa Myricks balm and how much can be attributed to the foundation. That primer will give any foundation or base the edge. Could you, going forward, test with maybe one side with and one side without that primer, or use a different primer?
The only thing is testing a product outside of how you usually wear makeup isn’t very productive. If you usually wear primer and test a foundation without the results can be completely different when you use it how you usually do with a primer. And yes Danessa is a good product but I wear it all the time and change foundations often. My face doesn’t look the same or wear the same each time.
@@ShanygneI understand BUT, then the recommendation is not valid UNLESS they use the same primer. I got the Danessa Myrricks primer because you recommended it and it have used it with foundations that don't have the best staying power and it completely transformed the wear experience of that foundation. So now I don't even recommend a foundation, I just recommend using the Danessa Myrricks under any foundation that is your best match and has the coverage that you like. But the asking power I have is not from the foundation! Which is why it would be nice to know is it the foundation or is it Danessa Myrricks in the future.
Again, thank you for putting us onto the yummy skin blurring balm, IT'S THE TRUTH! But those who don't have it should know what the product works like without it for a true review/recommendation.
@@PTPAUL-ry7jc But then no makeup recommendation is valid unless you have the same everything the person has on and even then a recommendation is from someone else’s personal experience which will never be the exact same because of skin type skin tone location etc. You tried Danessa because of me and it worked for you. A friend of mine tried it because of me and she doesn’t like it she’s also a makeup artist.
I also don’t try every foundation with Danessa that just so happen to be the primer I picked up that day cause I’ve been wearing it lately. I’ve rarely if ever had a foundation go from being great to mid just because I changed a product in my routine but that once again comes down to different skin, different applications, different experience, different preferences. Teaching moments like if trying to show why primer is necessary or if two products are dupes, why creams aren’t for oily skin etc are times to do things how you may not normally but even then that’s bias bc someone out there can have a diff opinion but reviews aren’t really genuine reviews if ur intentionally doing things differently that would create a different outcome.

So I've been using this foundation for a couple of months and I had to come back to this video to see how you applied it. It's very temperamental, sometimes it looks great and sometimes it's streaky, depending on how I apply it and how much moisturizer I use and how much primer I use and how humid it is and how full the moon is and whether mercury is in retrograde, etc. I will say that the color match is amazing. I use 50 medium-tan and I wish I could get this color in every product of every brand.

I'mma have to check this out right after I finish my La Mer foundation because the Chanel Water Fresh foundation I have in my stash is a bit too dark and if I can get the look and the right shade for $50 cheaper, I'mma do that.

I have been influenced and it’s goin in my save for later. $20 isn’t bad fr NYX has been $15 pre Covid. Nyx born to glow was still $11 n it wasn’t as good (I prefer they skin tint blur). Especially for the coverage and look. My L’Oréal n maybelline are $15 ish 🤷🏾♀️ If I didn’t just reup I’d buy it 😂

I had to trash this one. I don't know the Chanel version, but this just sits on top of my skin. It is so obvious I have makeup on. It may be that it skips the shade close enough to me. Not sure. But looks like a mask on my face and feels really uncomfortable to wear. Glad it worked for you, since you spent your money on it.
