Reunited and it feels so good!!! Beautiful!! Congrats! Wish I could get my wife’s daughter here from China. They won’t give out visitors visas either. 4 years struggling!😢
When I saw on Vikings site what Cam Bynum was going through to bring his wife here. I made a comment suggested on Vikings site to get help from state senator to get help for the visa process faster. In the 80’s I was going through the same thing, my husband was an active US Air Force trying to bring me and my baby to join live with him in Blytheville Arkansas where he was station, but my visa process was moving slow so he wrote his senator and finally our visa got approved right away me and my baby who is already 5 months old then, was finally able to fly to US to joined my husband where he was stationed, now my husband is retired and after 28 years living in South Carolina were now back in MN. Congratulations Cam Bynum and Welcome to your wife in MN I hope you keep her warm from this cold weather.
Glad shes here. Most ridiculous part of this story not reported by kstp 5 is her visa is denied twice yet 1M plus people have crossed our border illegally in 2023 and have been alloyed to stay.
Most ridiculous part is how hard it is to get a visa. Bynum is a famous nfl player and still literally had to get senators and non-profits involved. Probably a lot harder than what your immigrant grandparents had to go through.
I married my Filipina in August of 2016. Our baby was born in the Philippines in May of 2017. They were put through Extreme Vetting and finally entered the U.S. in September of 2018. I should have been in the NFL or just sent them through Mexico.
LOL! I was about to say the same. Send them to Mexico to cross the border to the U.S. The U.S. gov't would have put them in a first class hotel as well as given them all the perks a citizen or legal immigrant doesn't get. Sad but this is what our immigration had gotten worst under this administration by rewarding the lawbreakers and punishing the law-abiding ones.
In fairness to the Bynums, they also waited almost 2 years for her to finally enter the US. Not sure how his local senator was able to "expedite" the process.
Senators of Minnesota can you please help me get my Filipina wife to America also? I'm also from Minnesota, living in the Philippines and haven't seen my family for 4 years. I would appreciate that !
We have Chinese migrants illegally entering the U.S. through the Mexican border and getting asylum and an American NFL player had a hard time getting his wife a tourist visa? Damn, our government priorities are all screwed up.
Unless your a criminal, then this administration wants you too walk across with drugs illegally, so much they will ship you around the U.S and give you free housing.
Rightfully so, the strict immigration is for the Nation's protection. I'm not a citizen myself yet, but I appreciate ALL the resources and opportunities USA offers - it must be protected. If you can prove that your intent of visit and type of visa application are aligned, then there shouldn't be a problem and be approved. In this case, they had her apply for tourist visa which will immediately be denied since she's married to an American. They should have applied for a spouse visa instead, but it takes longer to process and it's more expensive. I think they're trying the fastest way for her to get here w/ tourist visa. Their relationship and type of visa applied for didn't match, so it's not surprising that she got denied on her previous applications.
Since childhood I had my American dream, though not to live there but just to see and experience America. Getting married I applied for a tourist visa for our honeymoon but got denied... Maybe because we were still young? The consulate must think we were out to become unwanted visitors in the US.. even if we had enough money and properties to show. Years later we tried again but denied for the second time. Through the years I had toured some Asian countries. Been to UK and Europe. Recently we went to Canada to visit my sister in law. USA is just some miles away. They asked would we ever wanna go over there. But no, thanks. They are a far cry from Philippines who would meet every visitor with open arms!

@@LADETROIT yes coz i was also denied a tourist visa, but US visas are one of the hardest if not the hardest visa to get, my dad got a canadian visa but got denied US visa, he had all the requirements, a booming business, financial capacity, family and children at home, siblings in US and Canada, etc. I was also issued an Australian visit visa with no fuss, same with my sister and family Aus and NZ visit visa.
