Wow, it's interesting seeing this different side to Belichick. He's animated and engaging, and I enjoy hearing his insights, and being a Viking's fan I couldn't be more stoked on how this first round went.
I think he just hated the media when he was coaching. I once saw a video of him interacting with Randy Moss and he seemed pretty cool with his players. The only ex player to say anything bad about him was Wes Welker with some sour grapes.

All of those guys were key parts of Super Bowl winning teams. But sure, he wasn't a good drafter 😂

He actually reminds me a lot of john elway. Big strong makes good choices and loves to win. If he has john's attitude and does not back down spends a little time in the weight room, puts on 10 lbs. To absorb bigger hits, He could become the minnesota messiah.

Vikings had a solid 1st round. Didn’t need to sell the farm for JJ McCarthy, and *still* were able to get Dallas Turner (best edge rusher in this draft) without selling the farm. Brilliant by Kwesi and KOC
As a lifelong Patsfan I have a love/hate relationship with belichick. But I enjoy seeing this side of him. I think if he was more like the way he is on this show with the local media he probably would still be the coach of the patriots
Broncos and raiders were likely in trade talks as well so Vikings probably had to make a better offer to hold them off. Or the jets called up the Vikings and said ‘we’re trading this pick if you can’t match or do better’ as a bluff for extra picks. 😅
The league is QB hungry and has been for years now. The QB is everything to the teams because the defenses are awesome and the QB can always change the game with 1 play. Other teams wanted him, you have to go get him if you want to be sure you are getting him and can not just hope he falls in your lap(which in this case he basically did fall in there lap). I am willing to bet KAM was on the phone for every pick to that point until he got one that made sense and took it.

Watched McCarthy and there's something about him he just has it. NFL won't be to big for him he should have a really good career . He just makes plays that during the game put his team in a position to win. Kirk Cousins is really good but did have a tendency to force it downfield rather than take the gimme. Very, VERY intrigued by a guy who is more conservative and only pushes it when it's required. As a Vikings fan it will be refreshing to have a QB that is mobile. Kirk was a decent QB but lacked the ability to make things happen with his legs.
