For those of you who don't have bulk Sodium Carbonate in your pantry: You can find a lot of it in special dry laundry additives, like OxiClean White Revive, which is almost completely sodium carbonate. Best household source. Hope this helps! :)
My grandpa used to show me that I can write a letter with lemon juice using a quil (feather from outside cut at an angle) or a toothpick. Then we would light a candle and very carefully heat the paper and the message would show. Awesome that you can do it with a highlighter!
Fun fact: some dumb guy thought by rubbing lemon juice on his face it would make him invisible. He robbed a store or bank (I can't remember what) and was confused when the police found him so quickly.
You can also just use lemon juice to write and when the juice is dried, just put the paper towards a light source and you'll be able to see the writing.

My understanding is for invisible in you use baking soda water, then use the lemon to make it appear not the other way around. But this looks cool too but only under blacklight...
You just gaved free tutorial to highschool kids that understand English on how to make ultimate cheat sheet during the exams.(only they need is to find a small lamp with black light on it to attach it on the end of the pen subtly).
