Well executed August.👍🏻👍🏻 Just a suggestion … I always take my metal detector and pinpointer with me to check for nasties before cutting. Who knows who’s put up bird boxes, washing lines and tree houses etc in the past. It’s not infallible but has saved me hours of sharpening
August is definitely a cut above. Even working solo, he is able to fell the tree and offer us a ringside seat that a film crew could not top. I noticed he set one camera within 6 feet of the drop zone. He fired up the drone to give us the aerial perspective and returned to finish off the job he started. Well done.
Fantastic episode August! The production you created with the different angles and the “ride along” feel at the beginning was fun. The tree going over and then upside-down down the hill… 😳wicked
I spent my life doing risky things with all the confidence in the world. But August, you got B.ls and skills that was on my top 10 drops. Thx 4 that experience, very cool!! 💪😆👍
That was so cool! Never watched one nearly drop out of sight, great camera footage. I did one last year almost the same layout, the deck was actually contoured around 1/4 of the tree. We dismantled the rail which was nailed into the stem. I started the humboldt just above the deck working from the deck. We roped it, it was dead and a wee bit punky with a little back lean over a cabin. It flopped in the dirt, not impressive, no dramatic crashing disappearing over a chasm. THAT was impressive! Blessings Sir, You and your family have a wonderful Christmas. BTW I love my new Monkey Beaver 1, now I need to learn to use it.
🌲❤️ Remember to 👍 Wowzers, the force of that humongous tree, your impressive videography and tree surgeon skills ... STUPENDOUS 💫 Always a treat to watch your videos! Thanks August
Man i get so sketched out making the face cut on large trees. It always feels like I'm doing too much. Kudos to people who make it seem way easier than it is to connect all the dots.
Love how it slid down there perfectly and tucked out of view. Good confident decision making like usual. I often struggle with those big decisions first thing in the morning.
August I have a Christmas present coming to your shop. Thank you for all of your help; you take time out of your life to better others! I appreciate you 👍. Have a Merry Christmas/ safe-happy new year.
Good thing they called you or this would have been one of those amazing tree fail videos where u hold ur breath as it’s destroying a building for sure. Great work brother and happy holidays to you and your family .
I know I wasn't there and I'm only looking through a key hole but WOW !!! With the house and buildings that one took some major thought !!!! Then ad the deck where it was and Dang !!! Most of us mere mortals would've prolly had ta put a pull line in that one cause we forgot our diapers at home 🤣🤣 Every hat I own is off to ya on another sketchy one Mr August 👍👍❤❤
I have been watching you for year's and most times it is a repeat of something. Not today. I am not easily impressed impressed, but today was a WOW! Tight quarters on the house for you. WELL DONE.
Great work! I read most of the comments looking for the Tree Cutting Karens being critical of your work. Found none! Perfect example of the hinge guiding the tree in the desired direction. Glad you were able to film the fall from multiple angles. 👍🏻🇺🇸🍺
Very well done ! I was scared just watching you in that corner. I an a big fan of, "When she starts to move, run!" You passing behind, I held my breath.
You have always amazed me I have learned a lot from you, you are truly the best I did it for over 25 years I still do it a little for my firewood but I get that exiteted feeling just watching you your amazing
That was so badass ! Awesome video ! You might not think it but this was seriously one of the better videos Ive watched in a few months ! You're a legend !
There's something about this video that stands out and makes it very satisfying to watch. I don't know if it's this or that, but as a whole the video is 100% 🏁 And the wild thing is that August was there working by himself. I guess his crews gets some satisfaction by watching it via the tube.
By far one of the best “solo” vids I have seen, gotta trust your instincts and ability sometimes. More often than not, it works out. We all know you wouldn’t have tried it if you didn’t think you could do it. You’re the man August ! SO DIALEDDDDD!!!!!!😅😂
It's always great to have some flop and leaves in the corner pocket for slow season. That tree was not very happy down there 😆. Thanks for sharing the process.
No ground crew, no large equipment cluttering up the work area. Just a man & his tools against this beast of a tree. There's something primal about the experience.
Wow Ive seen a tree leave before but that one must have had its bags packed for a while I mean that thing left and disappeared that was very cool great video see you on the next one
Wish I could have been the clean up man on this one. You know, carry the saw and wedges back to the truck. Finally, a magic trick on this channel, making a tree disappear. How fun!
I'm always stoked to see your brain in action mate, no wasted movement, zen efficiency at work every time.
I'm with you, It is a wonder to behold.
Never doubted you for a second !Them = "Is that the tree cracking I hear or the saw cooling." You = " Hmmm, I dunno " 🤣
10 out of 10 for Fearless 10 out of 10 for Skill. God Bless Brother Merry Christmas
The owners of that property got one sweet Christmas present delivered by THE Mr. August Hunicke.
That is for sure my friend 👍
Well executed August.👍🏻👍🏻 Just a suggestion … I always take my metal detector and pinpointer with me to check for nasties before cutting. Who knows who’s put up bird boxes, washing lines and tree houses etc in the past. It’s not infallible but has saved me hours of sharpening
August youre a tree surgeon . I wish i had the skill to throw trees like that .Loved the video man . One of my favorite channels .
His community is so blessed to know that there's a Doctor on Call, when they need him.
My Absolute favorite channel ❤😁
August is definitely a cut above.

Couldn't agree more !! Well said Don 👍
*WELL SAID* and he certainly is!!!
Fantastic episode August! The production you created with the different angles and the “ride along” feel at the beginning was fun. The tree going over and then upside-down down the hill… 😳wicked
How deep is that abyss the tree went over in? 😳
I spent my life doing risky things with all the confidence in the world.
But August, you got B.ls and skills that was on my top 10 drops.
Thx 4 that experience, very cool!! 💪😆👍
Hey August, Well done sir! Wasn't till the tree goes over that you can see how far down that drop off is-yikes! 👍😁
Best visual demo of how the hinge works!
This is why I like you. I love it when a plan comes together. Unite The A-Team for winter.
That was gut-wrenching ! Lol. Great job August 👏
Very True! Just watching was awesome, I couldn't imagine actually doing battle with that tree in that situation.

The kinetic energy of the butt section literally flying by between 10:45 and 10:47 is AWESOME! Great video work Mr. Hunicke.
Damn, that thing took off down in to the Abyss like it owed you money...... great result, perfect drop.
That tree saw August and when it was free it said...
"I'm outta here!" 😯
Outstanding, and no debris to clean up.
Great footage, August! Thank you for ALL you do!
Amazing! It just vanishes. The amount of energy that tree had... Wow!
Great work! I read most of the comments looking for the Tree Cutting Karens being critical of your work. Found none! Perfect example of the hinge guiding the tree in the desired direction. Glad you were able to film the fall from multiple angles. 👍🏻🇺🇸🍺

My dad logged the woods of spouthwest Arkansas-memories return viewing epic cuts such as this magnificent work
Awesome job August 👍
Nice one . and great footage.
Footage of the whole operation is masterful. But even that is a step two behind the the felling skills exhibited here.
A well executed cut considering complications from the limited space in which to work. It's more like a work of art.Hats off to the master.
Holy Moly!! That face cut was perfect! The abyss is true to form since that tall tree completely disappeared straight up and down! 😳
You have always amazed me I have learned a lot from you, you are truly the best I did it for over 25 years I still do it a little for my firewood but I get that exiteted feeling just watching you your amazing
10:04 super cool :-) And also the tree cleaned up itself :-D
Lucky that there was no widow-makers in the adjacent tree.
Well cut! Excellent video!

Awesome, dude. Awesome. Thanks again!!!
Very well executed , fair play to you .
Why do people build their houses so close to trees? (then trees get big and threaten the house, then August comes and cuts them down)
That was above excellent!
That was beautiful !
Lol. That woman walking way to close to the battlefront lol.
As Farley would say…..That WAS Awesome.
Husband can you feel the moisture?
Wife ignores the mention of moisture
Epic August. Just epic and just great camera work.
Wow Ive seen a tree leave before but that one must have had its bags packed for a while I mean that thing left and disappeared that was very cool great video see you on the next one
Every now and then an otherwise mundane tree felling turns out to be a well-planned and well-filmed event.
Nice job, man. And thanks for sharing. 👍
One of the coolest videos you have made good job tree brother 🤘
That was sweet! Wish I had a portable abyss to make certain jobs more fun
That would be great. Send things off into the void, never to be seen again.
That was EXCITING!
Out of sight, out of mind..... 😁
You and your family have a Merry Christmas August!
Keep yourselves safe! 😃👍❤🌲
Randy
Wish I could have been the clean up man on this one. You know, carry the saw and wedges back to the truck. Finally, a magic trick on this channel, making a tree disappear. How fun!
That was fantastic, nice that you knew it wanted to go that way. Single wedge and not much pounding.
Great Christmas gift that was cool

What a craftsman at work!
My dad was a logger in his youth and it’s always cool to watch cut a tree down. All the tricks and tools to get it fall apart certain way is cool too.
Very very impressive indeed, absolute master of your craft Sir.
Guess none of it went to waste seeing as how the customer appreciated the trees age.
Amazing, inspirational skill and assurance.
Amazing calculations expert precsion!👍🏿✊🏿
