In this Slay the Spire gameplay, Baalorlord does an Ascension 1 run with Defect. First, he gives tips on choosing a path and a starting bonus. Later on, he explains his decision for each card he chooses and why it's important to the build. Towards the end, he gears up for an epic Heart fight you don't want to miss. Watch till the end to see if this deck wins it all!

I use a few mods for Slay the Spire. All of them are Quality-of-Life improvements and do not have any effect on the gameplay. Here are all of the mods I have active:
Slay the Relics Exporter, used for the live stream: steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
Relic Stats, to keep track of how many times the relic effects happened: steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
UI Sliders, to reposition the Discard and Exhaust piles, so that they are not hidden behind the camera: steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
Run History Plus, giving us more info in the Run Summary screen about the run: steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
Map Marks, for path highlighting - here, typically, Green means an easy, intended path, and Orange or Red means a harder path that I might take if I get good rewards: github.com/casey-c/mapmarks

Thank you ! Following your advice I got both achievements not only in the same game, but in the same combat ! I died to the Collector a few rooms later - but I didn’t mind that much ! Got neon with a combo of meteor strike, liquid memories potion and hologram. I also had a creative AI, so I stalled out the game until I built my focus level up enough. The fight was centurion / mystic. Getting a meteor strike in the ‘get a random rare card’ starting bonus from Neow certainly helped a lot later on !
Meteor Strike is so nutty once you get it going. Some of my strongest runs have been Meteor Strike spam, and on the side you can get Neon

A method I found that's a little cheap and slightly grindy; but probably quicker, is to grind the first three combats with Neow's blessing until you get a consume. You can keep using consume even if you have no orb slots and the enemies don't have enough damage to kill you if you just play consume + defend, as long as it's not one of the floor one enemies that scales strength. I was lucky enough to get a recycle so I just got rid of all my strikes and got the achievement vs a slaver, who with defend doesn't hit for very much.
If you don't get consume from the first three card rewards or an early shop, you can just abandon run and since you didn't make it to the boss, Neow will give you the same 1hp blessing.
Side note: I used a similar strategy to get the Jaxxed achievement, just get a reprogram, ideally upgrade it, and soon one defend will block any attack.
Neon, however, was an achievement I used this method to get, idk a cheap quick way to get it!
I just read this and thought well let´s give it a try. Consume on the Nob, upgrade, one combat later Cacaw with an auto shield and then the Blue Slaver were I just did it in the first try of this. Good one, worked perfectly fine, block, tank and consume until done

The tips are great, thanks! Was able to get Neon exactly as you suggested with Meteor Strike plus 2 Holograms. For Focus was never able to find Creative AI, but instead got it with some lucky transforms and rewards that gave me Echo Form, 3 Biased Cogs and a Defrag, along with lots of frost generation that helped me survive long enough against the Time Eater to achieve it. Orange Pellets was also very helpful to keep my Biased Cogs from draining focus.
Choosing to do that in the Timeeater boss is bonkers, lol
Watched this run on the other channel but just gotta watch it again lol Love your content! Focused was the last achievement I got before 100%. I got it with creative AI, extra orb slots from boss swap and a bunch of frost orbs agains hexa ghost. Took me quite a few tries to get this one.

got the Focused achievement partially through watching this (the card that plays powers twice makes it super easy I realize+inserter goes brrrrr.) Now all I have left is the RNG achievement of Ooh Donut! and the achievement where I can't turn my brain off Who Needs Relics? (grinding both of those has been a pain.)
Question, can you play consumed even if you don't have any orb slots, and is that a way to get the achievement.

The first time I tried this I bought a power potion on floor 3 and then bullied a slime for six hours until my triple echo form and defragmenent got me through it
can we talk about how he managed to get 2 plasma orbs from chaos+ 3 times in a row?? four different possible orbs to get channeled means that channeling 2 plasmas from chaos+ is 1/16 and this happens 3 times in a row... 1/16/16/16 = 1/4096 chance for that to happen LOL
