I always wondered why a sporting goods store doesn’t treat bats the same way they treat golf clubs. You can go in and hit real golf balls and get fitted for a new driver, trying out as many of them as you like until you find the one that suits you. Why not have one of every bat that people can swing at real baseballs and get a real feel for the weighting and sweet spot? Spending $300-$500 on a guess really sucks.
All the Dick's Sporting Goods stores by us have a Hit Trax setup that you can hit balls off a tee and get a feel for the bat you are interested in. It's not the same as someone throwing you BP, but it's better than nothing.
@@stg2125 The Dick's in our area only let you hit light flights off the tee. They have the Hit Trax, but who knows what it is really telling you with a LF off a tee. Really hard to tell what the sweet spot is when the ball is doing all of the compression. Might as well be swinging a broom stick at a marshmallow and then putting down $400 on the broomstick.
I've been a subscriber for years despite never playing beyond little league myself. Your videos are incredibly entertaining and have helped me make decisions when buying for my son as he's getting into the game. The fact that people who don't even play can enjoy your work speaks volumes to the quality of your content. Please, keep up the good work, I need more bat madness in my life 🤣

Yo are you guys making The Baseball Bat Bros video game? You could definitely get funding from the bat companies or just have Mlb the show’s company develop it and make a deal with them and the bat companies and maybe even one of the mlb owners like Steve Cohen to really help it and also your fanbase. It’d be so sick if you can get all the best bats you have used with the actual sound effects in it and have those as unlockables/in game purchases, all the main fields you played it in the game like the roof field and one with the track, and a mode where you can attempt the guiness book home run distance record haha. As far as team selection maybe you can draft Will, Eric Sim, Adley, and everyone else who has been featured in your videos and more upcoming and or mlb players. I feel like that game would do amazing with sales and people would love it

In my high school days you couldn't try out bats because there weren't options to try out, Easton released a new version every couple of years and that's what everyone used, and once in a while Louisville would release a tpx which later went to tps. Really the only Louisville I remember seeing used though which I actually bought and used my junior year after randomly coming across it and realizing it was completely balanced differently than the Easton and preferring the way it felt, was the black and green tps. And even that was pretty rarely used, and until it I don't remember anyone ever using anything other than the same Easton reflex c core, or regular reflex before that bat. it's pretty awesome just the brand selection let alone number of total bat options kids have today.
