This Video shows you how to get started with Grid Designer and provides just enough information to make a usable latch hook pattern using Grid Designer and is the First video in the series. I like give a big thank you to the Grid Designer Developer for creating such a great program for making grid patterns of many sorts. I have been working with her to develop these short and basic tutorials and they are intended to work in conjunction with the longer and much more thorough Tutorials available on the Grid Designer web page and UA-cam channel: / @griddesigner4331 .
I'm doing a series of tutorials because Grid designer can be a little intimidating and official videos might seem overwhelming at first due to being 20 minutes long or more. My videos will be kept to less than 5 minutes and only present the basic skills needed to make a latch hook pattern and leave the more advanced tools to the longform Tutorials. These will run at a fast pace so the pause button is your friend if you are trying to follow along. Don't worry, I'll still be here when you hit play again and have no problem being replayed! ;)

Can this be easily done using a photograph of an actual person? I would love to make one for each of my 4 grandchildren. Thank you!

It can, but it's difficult to pull off. First, a rug is a very low resolution picture and second, finding the variety of shades of yarn can be challenging. It's not like cross stitch thread where there is 400+ color shades.
