The Aunt that said she was angry with Conrad for committing suicide and he’s only a victim after reading the texts….. that’s so unbelievably sad. It gives a little insight to his family situation. He clearly had no support there. People who commit suicide are still victims. Victims of their own mind, trauma and sometimes- life situations.

I have had a friend do this and I was angry with him for a little while. Everyone is different I mean it can be normal in some cases. I don’t feel his father was abusive I think he took a swing at dad and dad Swamy back. If I were to hit either of my parents as a kid it would not be something I would soon forget. His parents loved him they did not see how he was feeling he made Michelle promise to not tell anyone. Infact he told her he would hate her if she told anyone. She should have not kept his secret and certainly should have never encouraged him! As a parent there are times my kids are going through something I have no clue how they are feeling until later if they choose to tell me. Kids hide things and that is what CoCo did with his parents.

I believe that’s because the mind is not in the right state when you’re suicidal, but it’s also not stupid. He may have made his decision into committing suicide but wasn’t 100% committed, until his GIRLFRIEND convinced him to do it. I feel he had a wow moment where he couldn’t believe his own girlfriend thought he should indeed kill himself. Although he could unfortunately end his life without anyone pressuring him in the moment, he knew how disgusting and evil his girlfriend was for convincing him to pursue it rather than saying don’t; and for that he left those texts so she can be held accountable - it’s as if saying “yeah I don’t want to be here anymore, but that fact my girlfriend does too, yeah I’ll do it, but she should be held accountable” and that drew him more into his suicidal mind where your brain tells you lies “you’re not worthy, do it, you’d do everyone a favor, you’re a nuisance, etc” and unfortunately, he did it.

When he was hesitant about it or decided not to do it, she would make him feel like he let her down or disappointed her. She knew that he always mentioned that he felt like he wasn’t good enough and that he let people down and she used that to manipulate him into killing himself. I read all the texts between them that were posted for the public to see and in the beginning I thought to myself “She really is trying to get him help. Maybe she’s not as bad as I thought and how the media is portraying her.” However, then I got to the texts on July 2nd and she was like a completely different person without a soul. She went from telling him repeatedly that he should get help and not to kill himself to encouraging him to do it, taunting him when he couldn’t go through with it, researching it and telling him ways to do it, and pressuring him to do it. So, no she didn’t physically kill him, but “persuaded” is a very light term to use when describing what she did.

If you are outside when someone you know tries to sneak in a house to steal something, and your friend ends up dying "but for" them being there applies to the death and causes murder convictions. Regardless of Michelle why is no one having the conversation that his parents did not have him in therapy when he tried to commit suicide before. From that moment he should have getting help from that point on. His parents need to take responsibility for not knowing what was going on with their child and not making sure he had what he needed. Michelle would have no been a factor if they got him the help he really needed.

@@cynthiatowers1038 Speaking from personal experience (I’ve been hospitalized for suicidal thoughts, gave myself a black eye)- my guess is Conrad’s parents thought that taking him to see a professional and “several” therapists was enough. This case is a great example of how it’s not. You have to actually help your child at home too. Emotional neglect is so harmful and I don’t hear it talked about as nearly as much as physical or even verbal abuse. My suicidal tendencies come from never being taught how to properly manage my emotions. I was sent to my room every time I was upset. I took my anger out on myself starting at a very young age. Something as simple as my parents not being able to handle me being upset, affects me to this day. I believe this to be the case with Conrad after hearing what the Aunt had to say. In her eyes, Conrad wasn’t a victim until she read Michelle’s texts. I watched this yesterday but I’m pretty sure she also says she was angry with Conrad after he passed. (Please correct me if I’m wrong.) I’m aware that’s the Aunt and not the parents, but I would be surprised if their sentiments weren’t similar. Just my two cents as someone who can heavily empathize with Conrad.

He had seen many therapists and counsellors, you make it seem like all people have to do is see a therapist, get some medication and voila no longer suicidal, all better now, it doesn't work like that, do you know how many people in therapy and on medication commit suicide, many, many.

They were both sick. She Most likely has BPD (I do) and he had serious issues and didn't want help. She kept getting help for her eating disorders and she always came out better until he dragged her down. BPD is serious and being alone is terrifying and affects your emotions. She had no real friends and she was needy and the only person that dealt with her was this boy who on and off verbally/emotionally abused her and they dismissed at the beginning for a while, she begged him to get help because it made her feel better and him being this way really affected her and he always freaked out on her and threatened to abandon her. He was the only one that dealt with her and him ditching her could have made her suicidal. She suggested calling his mom and she ultimately just got so tired of him and slowly went from being scared he would do cause when he would scream suicide she would blow up his phone and he would blow her off about it when he finally would answer a long time later and slowly starting he would.. just do it. On his own. I have experienced this with an ex and I eventually just would think to myself "omg just do it then!" Whenever we fought or I would try to break up. I finally did 911 and got a restraining order.. he needed help. Both families here for help for them here and there but as a parent with a mentally ill child, you HAVE to be on TOP of everything while also trying not to be too suffocating. My parents had a locator on my phone, occasionally checked my room, phone logs and computer in my room (my father was a computer engineer so yeah I could never hide anything but didn't need too because I did well) made me take my medicine in front of them and threatened legal measures when i became a legal adult and went through a phase. These families got some help but clearly wanted breaks from dealing with them or flat out were in denial eventually and be like "oh they used to have issues but grew out of it." This all could have been avoided by the parents being more attentive and just getting phone logs at some point and got them psychiatrists and counselors. Let Michelle alone and get help.

She had the "They Shoot Horses Don't They" mentality. It's a reference to the normal practice of putting injured horses out of their misery. In the movie "They Shoot Horses Don't They", "Gloria feels her life is hopeless and has attempted suicide in the past. During the dance marathon she becomes increasingly depressed - losing the will to live." Basically someone who assists in some way to end the life of someone who is in deep physical and/or psychological suffering, like a "Jack Kevorkian" who was a euthanasia proponent and pathologist, he went to prison for 2nd degree murder. Also "Angel of Mercy", but they're listed as serial killers and are usually doctors or nurses. Euthanasia is legal in few states and very limited in who they deem eligible to end their suffering, usually incurable disease of the body ... but not incurable disease of the mind. That b.s. right there and how people with mental illness are FORCED to undergo even more extended suffering from Big Pharma chemicals and selfish family members who care more about losing their possession than their possession's suffering. And of course, look how much money a lot of people would lose out on as human suffering makes capitalists big bank. Fine lines here, but truth and yeah, it hurts.

One time after 24 straight hours of trying to talk him down he took a bunch of pills while on video call with me at 3am. I called his mother, she came and got him. It was finally over, and he got hospitalized. After that we gradually grew apart and disconnected. BUT HES STILL FUCKING ALIVE. She knew exactly what she was doing telling him to go through with it, and no matter the circumstances, no matter how long they talked about it and worn down she claims those conversations made her, no one, and I mean NO ONE, would ever tell someone to GO BACK to their attempt after they changed their mind.
