To anyone watching this, this ending has been referred to by Brian and Andrew as a "failed ego death" ending. Alex retreats further into his sick delusions where he doesn't have to be held responsible for how poorly he treated his friends, he Gets The Girl (kinda), and he gets a Happy Ending to his Game and absolutely nothing is wrong!!! Everything is fine!!! They also said this idea was done better in the KNN ending.
Honestly, I'm not seeing it. If anything, Alex seems to have realized his shortcomings and wanted to improve himself, wanting to see other versions of his friends that lost their Alex to be a better friend. Heck, he seemed disinterested in the emotional/romantic spiels that the Essentia had, so I'm not even sure he wants to get the girl. The only thing I'll give is that Alex fights the personification of his flaws and erases it, so I can kinda see it as Alex just oversimplifying his issues as a person by blaming another force, but that's it.
@_The Pickle Behind The Slaughter_ I don't see Alex as an unreliable narrator I just think that Alex being contradictory at points being a writing problem. Then again it's never clear when certain things are intentional or not in the story
funny how this fight also uses the Twisted beings theme, and Tele alex whos all about consuming and spectacle without substance is the only evil alex out of the four that you fight to have his theme be a remix of the twisted being theme instead of alex theme, which is what this ending is aparently all about, a hollow victory to satisfy alex, spectacle with no substance, just a happy epic ending where he gets all he wants
I think the funniest part about this ending is how so many people have given it a cursory glance and went like "This is a much better ending. Why did they scrap it?" I wonder if these people have even played YIIK, like, the fact that it's like that is the point.

Still better than whatever the hell the actual endings they did use were supposed to be.

Literally, I was thinking about that when I was listening to my YIIK cassette I made, it's also fitting Tele Alex's theme is called "A Final Clash"
Alex says "enough of the talking". Completely out of character for Mr. YIIK!
nah it makes sense he'd say that to a woman

Idk why, but MPU's boss minigame being an almost exact mirror of LP toss really gives me the chills
