Up next, how about a Navy Seal run? The only weapons and items you can use have "seal" in the name - Marika's Scarseal, the Finger Seal, etc. - and the only armor you get is the Navy Hood.
ngl I was hoping for more secret starting classes videos. I think those have been the most fun so far. Bernahl, Bloodhound Knight and Cleanrot Knight builds were been fun af.
Love it! Tips for arcane: occult is better than bleed for weapons with innate bleed. Ripple blade, moghs spear, and rivers of blood are some great options.
RoB requires 12 strength and 18 dex. Tulok starts all these runs as wretch. To use RoB at wretch starting stats (excepting arcane because arcane only run), you'd need radagon's scarseal and prosthesis wearer's heirloom, which takes up valuable talisman slots that could better be used for other things.
Hey something good to know, but following Yura's questline will give you the "Raptor of the mist" ash of war. Putting this on a dagger (or any other weapon) and casting it before a horse carriage in the hero's grave hit's you, will allow you to phase trough the carraige and therefore they become basically harmless.
Before you manage to do that, Endure will make the chariot do less damage as well, and just roll through you and you just stand there not getting knocked down. Raptor of the Mists is probably better, but Endure is a slightly earlier option.
Other methods include using endure to live through the strikes, or vow of indomitable to parry them. Or just level vigor and endurance enough-turns out they’re not a true one-shot, they just hit really hard
FINALLY someone addresses the "Intelligence is only good for magic damage" weirdness. One thing you forgot though: Incantations ALSO have magic damage, courtesy of the glintstone breath dragon incantations.
only you have the power to narrate elden ring game play and make it this funny the refrences and jokes you make in your videos are god tier keep up the good work
Discus is an excellent spell, it was one of my staple spells on my recent hybrid caster with an Intelligence focus (60 Int, 24/25 Faith), I focused on Sorceries, however Discus and Blessing's Boon were staple when combined with the Golden Order Seal. It was never my main damage spell, however it comboed pretty well with the Sorceries I ran (think Ancient Death Rancor, Rykard's Rancor, Phalanx spells). I ended up replacing it, however it's replacement was Triple Rings of Light, aka the upgraded version of the spell. That rebound effect is something that you shouldn't ever underestimate, it can easily be the killing blow on an enemy charging at you. Yes it doesn't hit as hard as some spells, but for it's FP cost (an insanely low 3 FP), it's cast speed and how much damage it can do, it's one of the best spells in the game, or at least it would be if Holy Damage wasn't horrible in the endgame.
youtube put you in my recommended videos and thats the first time listening to algorithm has been worth it. immediate subscribe, i'll be watching all of your videos and you better believe it i'm going to stay here. your witty commentary deserves recognition and applause!

4:35 It's weird seeing an old school religious dude in a Friar Tuck get up doing backflips around demon Groot striking the earth beneath him with the hammer the size of a pillar.
This was a pretty neat build! I was doing a (mostly) faith run a while back but never finished it, surprised you never ended up using the Cipher Pata for melee but that is a bit out of the way.
Admittedly, the Cipher Pata probably wouldn’t work great once you hit the capital. Insane holy resistance and getting one-shot by most attacks would mean that a holy damage melee option wouldn’t work great. But it would have been fun to see for the earlier game when he can still take a hit
Yeah, I was sad about it too. Really figured he would’ve, And I really like the two of them, So the fact that he didn’t even grab ONE was just disappointing.
I just started my own faith (+dex) build after a year of Int build and I am having more fun in the opening hours than ever before. I have become a believer in Faith.
Fyi, Laiedd is more pronounced like 'la-yeth' (/la.jeð/), since is more like the in words like that, this, the, there, etc'; another way to remember it is to remember how Blaidd's (bl-eye-dh /blaɪð/) name is pronounced, since the in his name is also like the in words like 'that, this, the, there, etc' as well A lot of the names in a bunch of the regions are based/inspired by the Welsh language (Cymraeg), so other names will have similar if not the same pronunciation patterns; for example, Gael (g-eye-l /gaɪl/) Tunnel, Caelem (k-eye-lihm /kaɪ.lɪm/) Ruins, Elphael (elf-eye-l /el.fail/), etc
Great video as always. Bonus points if you use my baby, Elenora´s Poleblade, with the arcane-only run. I got a feeling you´ll like the AoW +grins+ Also, dragon incants, because holy hell they are powerful. Weightless seal, they even get the bonus from roar talisman nowadays - they are even more nightmare-fuel than ever XD And all pairs with every bleed/occult weapon you could ever want. Many great options. Bleed, Magic, Fire, Rot, a big debuff, you can have lots of fun with arcane !
okay, wait, that guitar riff after 7:45 is the same one that got used when Dinosaur George challenged Tommy_Gunz to the Seth mirror in Street Fighter IV. FUCK YOU TOMMY GUNZ, YEAH
If possible can you include the equipment loadout of these builds in the video description? Idealy at elden beast time or after you get the "starting" setup
Based on the video, he was at 10 across the board with 99 Faith. He wore the Radiant Gold Mask, Gravewarden Cloak, Lionel's Greaves, and Lionel's Gauntlets. He had Godslayer's Seal and Gravel Stone Seal for LA1 and LA2, with Erdtree Seal and Black Knight for RA1 and RA2. Spells were obviously Black Flame, Ancient Dragon Lightning Strike, Lord's Divine Fortification, and Black Blade. He also obviously used Godrick's Great Rune. As for talismans, it looks like he's using either Fire Scorpion Charm or Lightning Scorpion Charm, or hotswapping them during phase transition. He's also using Radagon Icon, Ritual Sword Talisman, and Ritual Shield Talisman. He's also running 7 Blue Flasks and at least 3 at most 7 Red Flasks, but probably not that takes a lot of Golden Seeds. He probably stopped at +4 since they were fully restoring HP and FP at that point and there was no need to go out of his way for stronger flasks. Without the Great Rune, he only needed +2 for red flasks to full heal and +0 for blue flasks to restore, and with the great rune he needed +4. He also had various other items and gear along the way, like Golden Order Seal and Holy Scorpion Charm when he was using Discus of Light; Catch Flame and Flame Sling early on, Lightning Spear, Albinauric Mask for some reason. For his Wondrous Physick he was likely switching between Flame-Shrouded, Lightning-Shrouded, and Holy-Shrouded Cracked Tear, and what I think is Opaline Hardtear for damage negation. He also had Radagon's Soreseal, but I don't think he ever used it.
Faith is pretty damn good though. Theres alot of weapons that are top teir and primarily scale with faith. If you want the most fun beat the game and use the sword you get in ng+. I love that thing. Or dual magmas. Even the coded blades can hit pretty hard
If you run in a circle with the nobles roll out attack at the right time and keep a good angle on the turn you can essentially out run his roll. Made the fight so much easier for me.
Don't forget that faith can use a whole lot more options. I believe faith can proc every single status effect in the game aside from frostbite (although maybe I just missed the option for that). Magic is pretty much limited to magic damage and frostbite for the most part. Rotten breath makes Astel approachable early, poison mist makes for a great cheese on the Fallingstar beast. And being able to keep the same build and just switch spells around using the same upgraded seal, armor, and talismans is probably the most powerful bonus of all.
I wanna see a Banished knight secret starting class, technically you could get the full build in storm veil and farm for the unaltered in castle sol later
I figured Faith was gonna be at least decent; damage variety, good scaling for most of the spells, and a VERY good way to mitigate Elden Stars. Arcane, though? That's probably gonna be rough; can't wait to see what you use for that build!
I have a strong belief that is based on internal spiritual feelings that this build will make the swag jump first try. If only there was like a single word I could use to express my intense belief.
what? i've got a pure int/fth Dr Strange build, and Discus of Light is pretty much my bread and butter spell for most of the game xD granted, i'm upgrading it to triple when i get it, but still, it's so efficient you actually get fp back using ancestral horns talisman, provided you can one shot a target (well, 2 usually, but i'm counting the rebound as a single cast)
Idk if it's just me but whenever fatty goes for the role I strafe him by rolling forward and to the right a little, and then run in circles, kinda following him
It's so weird seeing the rage in Gelmir Hero's grave because I never even remember that path exists. You can, instead, on the first opening, drop onto the rafters and get into the room with the bloodhound knight from the window. Bonus: You enter through the ledge high up, so you can just cheese them from there too Also a bit surprised you didn't go for Gold Scarab when you weren't using Golden Order incants, that's a quick grab back in Limgrave, I'd expect the extra casts to be pretty helpful and the damage penalty to be irrelevant later on
I have faith that this build will do well
I've been waiting For this one i Had faith it would come someday
