For the first 30 seconds, I didn't realize the problem with this challenge, then I did and wow. I applaud your various strategies for this and I hope your next challenge is actually fun for you
The uplifting aromatic basically gives you 10 opaline bubbletears (and even buffs damage) without taking the slot in the physick (might be helpful on future squishy runs)
You can farm Miranda Powder easily by using Fire damage from pots, grease, or incantations to stunlock and kill the gaggle of flowers outside the Waypoint Ruins Cellar grace. There's only one guaranteed drop from the big flower, but the small ones might drop some, and the grace is ten seconds away. It's how I farm Poisonbloom on my invader builds; it's just that easy.
Fun thing for all the low health/vigor builds. There's a perfumer's recipe that is effectively, just the opaline bubble as a consumable. Normally not that useful imo since you can actually level vigor and get a decent bit of durability, but in situations like this, it's bound to be at least moderately useful.
‘Twas an excellent attempt. No one could have asked you to try harder. And though it ultimately the build failed, I would like to salute the huge amount of effort you put in.
Didn't expect engvall representation in this video. Man happened to be my first ghost spirit ash and has a special place in my heart (plus that big stance damage)
tip for casting against Godfrey, his slams can be jumped, which means spells that put you in the air while cast, like the named dragon spells, can be used to avoid his stomps and attack at the same time
Just an FYI for any future casting heavy runs, you can increase your casting speed via the Azur’s Glintstone Staff in your offhand, by roughly 10%, it doesn’t work for Dragon incantations but it works for every other spell/incantation.
Omen Killer Rollo would have been a great choice tbh Also slapping Black Flame Tornado on a short spear should have taken out Elden Beast, no problemo Lastly, I would seriously have suggested looking into Perfumes - one of them has the same effect as the Physic that grants 90% damage reduction off the next hit. I absolutely still wouldn't try this run myself, but there are things that might have tipped the balance for your skill level without the vigor investment. Edit: Sorry, I feel like this came off as judgemental and really doesn't give you the credit you deserve. This run is still fantastic and I'm amazed you managed to get as far as you did. I still crutch on Vigor like crazy, so serious Kudos to you for getting all the way to Elden Beast
I love how you keep charging the black flame and then complain that you don't have any casting windows, great video keep up the work and good luck in your next video
Alecto actually does have a thing you can jump on to avoid her (the rock just to the left and behind her spawn point). She almost never gets up on that rock, so you can take her out pretty easily with any ranged attack, only rarely having to dodge. I usually use the blasphemous blade, as it knocks her down, usually allowing a second hit right after the first.
Good tip on the black knife assassin in Altus, if you have a great Spear (the moveset doesn't matter and neither the damage so stat req' don't matter either) the charged heavy on horseback burger flips her and stuns her for it's whole windup. If you equip the green turtle Talisman, and strip your armour your stamina recovery is high enough to loop the charged heavy to infinitely stun her, easy, skilless and universal way to get the Black Knife at *any* point during the playthrough.
You can cheese O'Neil with Poisonous Mist. Works on a number of stationary world bosses-- notably Draconic Tree Sentinel, Dragonkin Soldier (Siofra RIver), and Crucible Knight Siluria (Deeproot Depths).
godfrey stomping is an insane problem im glad you brought it up, i have a recording on xbox of godfrey dashing and stoping, dashing and stomping, dashing and stomping, literally 23 times in a row and me just dodging over and over it was so fucking annoying
You should have tried blasphemous blades weapon art on elden beast. It is my go-to for the both Radagon and elden beast as they are weak to fire damage
I’d love to see a Krillin build: Sacred Fist Weapons, Discus of Light +Triple Rings of Light for Destructo Discs, Elden Stars for Solar Flare…heck, you could even throw in invisible weapon spell and SONAF if you wanted to use a kamehameha.

There is a perfume you can craft that gives you the opal one crystal tear effect and a damage buff. It even works on ally’s. Given its a perfume you can get up to 10 uses of it.
Just so you know, you can make the bird run in faram azula easier by shooting the dragon with a single arrow that deals damage. Dragon runs away afterwards and saves some lighting bullshit
Alright, I googled "watch Tulok beat it" and I got this video as the top one. So I'll give it another watch, probably won't hurt the algorithm to give it another go.
Wasn't expecting the DNF, but otherwise not really surprised Mind only would be the hardest mono-stat run. Anything else offers defense or offence, but Mind doesn't really do either.

Just use the O’Neil grace, go towards Gowry’s shack past the giant dragonflies. You end up in front of the Selia Town gate with the shack in the right, jump up the ledge to avoid the dog. It’s very close and no enemies.
A thing that might have helped, would have been crystal torrent, essentially a different comet azur that's capable of being cast with base 10 int with the int boosting gear you can get

You just die and that's it. And then you either have to increase your vigor/hp or hope you get a random chance where they don't ever do that move. Just had that happen today with the dragonlord god thing. He didn't do the golden beam of death so he just melted and died. Literally died probably 3 dozen times with him at like 10% hp or less. Then went on to Maliketh and just melted him first try. The boss balancing is terrible in this game and the fire giant is a perfect example. Only 40% of players have ever beaten him. Which means less than 40% of players have beaten the game and gotten to NG+.

Honestly kind of weird to me that the Black Knife doesn't see more use in these sort of challenge videos. I've been using it as my main weapon on my most recent playthrough, and even though I haven't put hardly any points at all into dex or faith, (been mostly dumping into INT since I use spells in my off hand), it still shreds most bosses or tough enemies with very little effort. The only downside is making sure you're not caught in an attack during the wind up, but that's not too hard to do on most bosses.
During the Godfrey phase 1.5 attack, couldn't you jump up in the air and do one of the dragonbreaths? Last I checked you can cast those in the air and it will hold you up
I'm surprised you don't utilize consumables as much on these runs, with low vigor there's some really awesome tools to mitigate one-shottedness. I forget the exact name, but there's a bottle that does essentially the same as the bubble flask, and it costs a little bit of fp to use.
It's a shame that Mind doesn't determine Cast Speed. I don't know why FROM keeps making it Dexterity, it doesn't even make sense from a game balance perspective. Having Cast Speed tied to Dexterity is the equivalent to having Equip Load tied to Faith, and makes just as much sense. It's like they simply picked Dexterity instead of Mind, just to punish every other stat dependent build that doesn't want or need Dexterity.
I guess the decision-making process here is that since spells are a form of combat here you can equate higher level spells needing dex to be you needing to be fast enough at fighting to get the strong hits in
haven't watched yet, but im guessing it's gonna be an Ash of war/spirit summon run. Aow scales of weapon level, and spirit summons are upgraded to be stronger. seems perfect for a run where you can only level mind

An ALL Mind run was never going to be powerful, but now I'm curious what a _mostly_ mind run could do. What abilities would benefit from a vast FP pool, are there any truly spammable ashes of war, can FP be leveraged into other stats (healing, buffing), that sort of thing. Pretty sure the answer is just to raise damage stats instead, since scaling is so backloaded.
