- This is nowhere near a full review video like I said, I’ve only had one week in about 10 hours with this wheelbase that I’ve got to use it so far so there’s definitely a lot of testing still to come so far I love it no problems the only complaint I had was like a shipping issues which fanatec is usually known for so nothing new..
I had the exact same problem with the wheels not registering (and the QR firmware failing to update).
Uninstalling the Fanatec PC driver and reinstalling worked!

I just got an hour in before the wife came home haha.
Its a shame that this holiday season is so busy, the wheel feels great, but I have so little time to use it now. I also think that its not a huge jump from the 8NM CSL DD but its a wheelbase that will serve me well for many years 🤞
No not huge but still a step up. It’s definitely smoother and quicker. Also the true force isn’t working yet so once that is added I think it will make it worth it. But I get what you mean I had the gt dd 8nm and sold it for this so i paid very little.
Nice to hear you recovered quickly after you'd have to sell your gear. Congrats! Can I ask you if the frontplate is plastic just like the CLS DD?
Yes the front and rear plate are still plastic. But most wheelbases are to save on weight. But still a beefy unit it weighs about 26pounds with the power supply and base only with no wheel on it
Is it worth the update from CSL DD 8 nm to Clubsport 12 nm ? Is it have more details and better feel or it is only more powerfull ?
Just more powerful
It seems like it's a CSL DD only at 12nm. Identical problems, identical FFB to everyone who reviewed CS DD. They all say one thing: it’s just more powerful.
No not so at all. Completely different parts and internals. Also has true force which csl dd and gt dd won’t ever get. I owned a gt dd 8nm with the qr1 and qr2 with the same rims on it. Yes this has more power but this also has holding power unlike the csl and gt dd are peak 8nm not holding 8nm. Plus the clubsport dd and dd + has way quicker response and slew rates and actually hold at 12 or 15nm full at all times.
Fanatec dd1 and dd2 use the same tech between each just more nm in a dd2 for more $
Fanatec csl dd and gt dd use the same tech and are the same nm either 5 or 8 and gt is PlayStation native compatible for more $
Fanatec clubsport dd and dd+ use brand new tech shared between the 2. Only difference again is the clubsport dd+ is PlayStation compatible and an extra 3nm for $
@@SIMRIG412 Another huge difference is the CLS DD has a carbon fibre composite (reinforced plastic) motor shaft, and the CS DD aluminium. I have the CLS DD, never had any problems and I'm pretty happy with it, but I am always worried about that shaft.
Yes the gt dd is the same as the csl dd. I always worried but I never had a problem with the qr1 or qr2 on my gt dd at 8nm.
Im over waiting for this thing tbh, Think im going to chargeback and get a moza r16. I ordered on November 17th and don't even have a tracking number.

Should be arriving soon. But I get the frustration. I was in the same boat with you I was about to cancel and order simagic 15nm base. But for now I’ll keep it and maybe upgrade down the line idk yet.
