An intense and rewarding listening experience, “Night Walks” encompasses the energy and production techniques of studio-produced beats, but replacing synths and drum machines with natural/acoustic sounds and instruments for an emotionally potent style. Built on contrasts - experimental without losing accessibility, electronic and acoustic, complex and simple, dark and energetic whilst intricate and calm - there is a sense of journey and progression, and, in Acheson’s words, “the brooding reflections of a solitary walk through the still, restless night”.

This album is a masterpiece.
Seriously, there's nothing else out there like you guys! Unique sound! The way you build those layers of instruments and when those drums come in, the calming melodies that turn into suspense then into an epic glorious triumphant atmosphere. What a beautiful journey! It gets me every time. Come to Montreal! Much love.

Hidden Orchestra is actually a solo project. Multi-instrumentalist man layers them all together. :)

It is one man who could be called the 'composer' of these Albums (Joe Acheson) but he actually uses serveral musicians to create 'his' music.
I believe to know that he is a virtuoso drummer and an impressive pianoman as well :)

Just an incredible album, haven't heard anything quite like it. Footsteps is an infinitely cool track and then leading onto Dust which is one hell of a song that takes you into a tribal, mysterious, ominous and phantasmagorical journey! Thank you :)
