Been fishing for 30+ years & never once thought about re-spooling old line backwards. It could have saved me so much money over the years. Fantastic idea Spooner.
Thanks so much for your carp tutorial. I was particularly interested on how to achieve a cast up to 85 yds. This is something that has a wider application other than just carp fishing. You have demonstrated quite clearly that distance casting is not just about having the right tools, casting technique is just as important. The portion of the video that dealt with using the marker weight is most interesting and could be applied to any branch of distance levering. I think the most important thing you showed is that thoroughness and attention to detail is what separates the successful angler apart from the not so successful angler. This is a really great angling tutorial and thank you again.
Who wouldn't like a teacher like Neil Spooner? Great vid guys, greetings from Italy.
Yh that nerdy face and irritating voice he worse than a chalk board 😂
I agree ref cutting line up as small as possible. Taking it to get recycled is great. I have used a paper shredder in the past. You can not get the line much smaller. Great video, again from korda👍👍👍
Don't bin old line, take it to a Line Recycling Scheme collection point.
Phil Porter which is where? I have never heard of this great idea
Phil Porter thanks
If this is back to basics. Why not show how to set your lines once casted? A lot of anglers including me possibly over reel and once casted possibly move the bait away from your actual fishing spot
X2 of these back to basics and it’s now shown
We can all tie nots and wrap our rods
What an excellent instructional video 👍🏼
Really enjoying these series of videos. I'm a beginner, just getting into carp fishing and have watched loads of Korda videos. They're all very, very useful and fascinating to watch but I'm finding this 'cut-the-crap and keep it simple stuff' very useful indeed. It's very easy for a newbie like me to get lost in the immense amount of knowledge and tackle out there.
Well done guys. Keep up the good work.
P.S. The sound and picture quality of your videos is getting better and better by the way. Kudos to the photographer, editor and copious other production staff (probably all one person).
My advice to you would be to go out with a few people who have been fishing for a few years. The videos are ok but do miss out a lot of stuff.
@@markmason13 Thanks Mark, would love to.
This is good, but right off the bat they could have promoted the National line recycling scheme instead of talking about binning line.
Dan Ford yes but they did saw cut it which is a good thing.
Surely u should zero the scales after u've got the sling wet.
Hello, Great vid. What Daiwa reel is that?
swim spooked with all of those casts
Came to the comments to find this, definetly what happend, fun thing is they sad, dont break twigs because you can spook the fish kappa
@@tijhuisjoeri PogChamp
@@tijhuisjoeri actually things dropping in the water is often less spooky than comotion on the waterside twigs and stampeding to hard they often get more spooked than with things dropping in because often twigs or for example acorns drop in the water naturaly
Could really do with a day with spooner or a very competent angler . Where do I apply
Nice video guys, including the other parts👌
5.35 deffo a good tip and common sense if it's a big amount but even smaller amounts should be got rid of best you can like this and more
Merci merci merci !!!!!! Enfin traduit en français !!!! Merci
Even after years of angling this video is really helpful. The line tip is dench👍 cheers Spooner
Does anyone know what bank sticks they are using? they seem to be slightly different to singlez.
Why do you cast all the way across the lake when you could fish a few yards on the other side and save all that energy and time ?
Great tips could you tell me the make and model of the rod and reel so I can look them up new to carp fishing
Thanx ...
Better start of with something simple and less expensive if u new 😉
It is nice evening movie!
Super.video comme d'habitude
Cool vid well done spoons
i love it ;-)) Very good as always... I'm looking forward to the german Masterclass. Nice regards to the Korda "family"
Love the vids lads!
Sorry but seemed a bit of an epic fail to talk about binning line rather than recycling it? There’s a scheme in place and plenty of collection points in fishing shops.
Tbf Pal not many people may know this I been fishing all my life and never heard of this but having seen comments think this is a great idea
Ben Nicholson quite a few shops have recycling bins and i think they’ll have them at the shows this year, it would be good if more big companies promoted it
I've been fishing for about 14 years and I never knew this. Fed up of finding line around lakes and taking it back to put in my own bin.
Matt Weston agreed - drives me mad pulling line out the ground, whats worse is people chucking it on the ground with hooks attached. The recycling initiative is a really good idea and hopefully more people will use it. We now keep a bag that we put old line in and then recycle, just become the norm now. I think they’ll be a recycling point at some of the shows if you’re heading to any, and i know Angling Direct have recycling points
My old line is used by my gardener friends on there allotments or the Mrs in ours any not used gets burnt in fire pit
Just wanted to ask is it possible to cast say up to 100 yards without a 3.5 lb test curve rod and is there a rod and reel that is affordable (from £50 to about £70 for each) that I can use and be able to cast this far? Thanks
you could with technique and 12 footers yeah. and for rods and reels daiwa black widows and wychwood are best bet mate
100 yards is easy with the right technique and you do not need to spend loads on gear most 12ft rods and big bit reels are up to the job. Its more about the rods action than its teat curve. Also use a glove or finger stall they help a lot.
I like spooner trying to save us a few bob makes a change
unhook the fish when its in the net if you can that way there is no way the hook, line or ring will get snagged and do harm, if you can not remove hook then unclip the rig if using a quick link or cut the rig.
Where was this filmed? A very nice video
JOSH CRANE looks alot like par fishery to me
Correct 👍
Louis Wayland swim 1 killer swim at the back
KH tree and landscape Yh that swims always taken every time been there everyone fishes to pass and bush at back.never fished it only fish where seen them and they love pads on road bank and there like a route they follow in middle on road bank I found out
Love spooner
Pouce rouge pour les plombs. ça fait déjà plusieurs années que des gens vous le disent en commentaires ou autre et vous en avez rien à faire :(
Yeah like it❤👍😉
