- The Sanctuary Long Beach Full Behind The Scenes Shoot
So, in today's episode, we headed down to the sanctuary Long Beach, which is a property by Wedgewood Weddings. This is a new venue that we're getting recommended out of and we didn't have any work yet, so we decided to make a full shoot out of it. Roxy and JonCris once again stepped in as our models. If you remember them, we did their engagement session at the Sand Dunes last month:

Our main goal for this session was to get some sample photos to make a sample album for The Sanctuary. We brought our very talented photographer Kaitlin along to add a different perspective. We love giving our couples more than what they bargained for so having an extra pair of eyes always helps that!

Very simple place but so lovely. Great shots!
Right, the architecture is just timeless and beautiful. I can’t wait to see what we’re gonna do at this location this season. You gotta let us know when you’re in town so you can come through with us 🙌
I’ve watched your videos since day 1, this truly might be the best one yet 💪
Thanks dude! We're gonna be putting out a lot more content like this so I appreciate the feedback!
Great video!!
Thank you Joseph! We'll get you on some BTS, show the people what you're cooking too!
Love how y'all take the time of your day to capture samples for future couples. Genius idea. Always going the extra mile
Heck yeah dude. We want people to see “if this were your wedding, this is what you can expect”. Setting those proper expectations is key 🙌
There's so many elements that I enjoyed about this video. JonCris and his fiancé look amazing. Both you and Kaitlin rocked the session - depicted two different styles of photography, yet not so different. If anything, you're showing the variety that TNK Photo brings to the table. Lastly, from a photographer's perspective, thank you for the step-by-step on the silhouette shot! I need that refresher yearly.
Thank you for watching Derek! And yeah that’s what I wanted to show is how we can mix our styles to give our couples more contemporary looks while still giving them our staple shots 🙌
These turned out so great!! I need to get myself one of these Osmo cameras now - I am convinced 😅
Thank you for coming through Kaitlin! And yes! I’m gonna do the full review for it this week 🙌 I learned a few things on this shoot about it too
Amazing video! Bringing the viewers along to see your process is a great way to get potential clients to feel more at ease and want to shoot with you! Also Showcasing your knowledge for others to grow from. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much! We plan on posting a few more this coming week with similar content so I appreciate the encouragement 🙏
Love the brand and flavor! Excited to work at this venue and share the fun and love. This venue has so many great locations and these photos will speak for itself. Thank you for all the tips!!
Dude, right! There were still a bunch of spots we didn’t get to hit. Our next couple there will get some additional 🔥😁
Do you like a specific light stand or just any functional one?
Misael, I’m loving the questions you’ve been asking! It really depends on what flash I’m using. So I’m gonna be filming a video on Friday and I’ll explain it a little bit more. If I’m using a larger modifier, I’ll use one of my larger light stands. If I’m using a speed light or an AD200, I’ll opt for a smaller, more portable one. At the end of the day it’s more about the safety of the equipment and most portable option
Thank you for responding, another question? Other than the magmod that you have been using in your videos. Is there any other light modifier you like using, for example, soft box small and large?
Of course dude. I appreciate you taking the time to watch our content 🙏 Absolutely, so in the previous video we posted about headshots, we used a large soft box to give us the best softest light possible. It really depends on what the look we want to achieve. Most of the time we want that tight beam of light but sometimes that soft light is perfect (for headshots for example). @@TNKPhoto ok, I see. Awesome, thank you very much. This is the kind of content I’ve been looking for, thanks again. Great video!
