The town of Interlaken, surrounded on all sides by sheer mountainsides and alpine lakes, was the perfect base camp for a few days of hiking, exploring, and meeting new backpacker friends. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing mountain getaway, or an adrenaline packed few days of extreme sport, Interlaken surely is the place for you. Glad to have been there, sad to be going… our next destination after Switzerland is Rome!

Lauterbrunnen is definitely a place that everyone should see in person. Also, almost arrested the day after I leave? smh.
Remember that those late nights are just as important as hiking and sightseeing. You can always revisit these places, but the people you meet along the way are going to be what makes the journey remarkable.
