I know this is kinda late but I'm a professional hairstylist and I figured a few tips wouldn't hurt! (; if you notice your hair still has yellow in it tone with purple but if it has a more orange tone to it use a blue toner! But if you try to tone it and it's still yellow or orange just lighten over those areas again without overlapping the lightener on your already blonde hair and then tone it again! I hope this helps ❤️

I use their silver toner and I’ve got lots of hair! I just use one bottle of toner and mix it in with a ton of conditioner! Works exactly the same and conditions your hair during!! Plus saves money!

It's not the toner's fault, the yellow parts just didn't lift enough. With that much regrowth you should have left the first inch close to your scalp last. Also, 40 vol is too high, it is meant for highlighting not to be used on you scalp, it could cause chemical burns!
Ah right, that makes sense! I'll use a lower volume on my roots next time. Thanks so much for the tips, however I still don't think the toner was that great as it didn't make my hair lilac at all (but I guess that might have been because of the lack of hairdryer 😄) xx
Try pro:voke touch of silver shampoo and leave it in for about 2-4 hours and it will give you that silver purple look. Btw in the U.K. the shampoo is only £3.
Jade Collins 2-4 hours? My hair would be the same colour as the shampoo if I left it on that long. Anything more than 10 minutes and I have purple tresses 😂 It's a really good toning shampoo though, my favourite by far.
Your regrowth was too long, the heat from your scalp processed the first zone quickly and everything after that has no natural heat. It wasn't lightened evenly, so it can't tone evenly.
It's not the toner your hair wasn't light enough for it to work. Violet toners only work when the hair is at pale yellow not chicken yellow. I'd try again😁
I have just seen your video, I know it was posted a long time ago and maybe now you have a different technique to do your hair but I thought I should comment anyway :). 40 Vol developer is way too strong for applying on scalp with bleach! It is not recommended, ask any hairdresser and they will tell you the same. Used with bleach on scalp, it can cause chemical burns and hair loss. It is only meant to be used off scalp for highlights. Plus you should never ever overlap the already blonde bleached hair as that causes breakage! Your hair will merely break off as it becomes so weak. Another thing, you already have liht brown hair, your hair level is about a level 6 - 6.5 so it is light already. For this, to get a light blonde result, you can definitely use high lift tint. Google high lift dye and you will find every brand has a high lift series. Matrix Ultra Blondes has a series for level 5&6 with double pigment for a good neutralisation and you pick an Ash colour to neutralise the orange. You combine Ash with Violet to neutralise orange and yellow and that one has to be used with 30 or 40 vol developer to work. So high lift dyes are meant to work with 40 vol for maximum result as they work differently than the bleach and the manufacturer recommends using them with 40 vol. 40 should never be used with bleach. But with high lift dye is different, you get 5 levels of lift which is more than enough for you and you get way less damage and way less scalp damage. I used high lift tint with 30 vol and I did not even feel anything on scalp compared to bleach when I used bleach with only 20 vol my scalp was on fire. So I really recommend you high lift dye - Wella, Matrix, Ion, Joico, L'oreal...they all have high lift series and they all have a 5 levels lifting power used with 40 vol developer. You will notice less damage and less dryness and less scalp burn. :) Bleach is only meant for those with really dark hair as they cannot lift their black hair with tint but for your natural light hair, please use high lift tint and keep your hair healthy :)
please don't use 40vol on your scalp, go in twice with a 20vol with coconut oil in your hair or do 30vol then the day after a 20vol with the coconut oil or olaplex
Did you find out why one bottle was browny red? I bought one and it was all copper and I think it made my hair warmer not cooler!!! Ugh! I washed it out in a panic... What was your third bottle like?

Try T18 wella toner! with 20% dev but leave a while between bleach and toning as the T18 with developer will bleach and tone. You done want to bleach 2 times in a row. But you will get an even tone

Is there anyone nice enought to tell me why it happens I got all of those bleaches and tones but I wan light white hair and I was thinking I can't use the liliac toner because it's not the color I want?!!!
Hair was not lightened enough. You need thinner sections, more saturation and leave half inch away from the scalp, then after 30 minutes or so you go and do the scalp. Always 20 vol no more, you already have light brown hair. Lastly, lightener needs to be wet in order to lift, use a plastic cap or aluminum foil and your hair will lift to a beautiful level 10 blonde.
Girl, maybe don't get the strongest toner. It's tricky, but maybe do two bleaching with 20 - 30 to life more colour, the toner would not colour you as it's was too yellow, maybe try again, I'm sure it will work. I, gonna let my hair grow so I can re bleach my roots and then use one of those too, I bought rose gold, hope it will be okay haha, I do like that brand I used their ombré kit before

So toning hair that's not even to begin with, will still be uneven. Also the only way it would ACTUALLY make your hair lilac, is if your hair was lightened light enough and already toned to platinum. Any violet colour in the toner, only neutralized the yellow because there was so much yellow.
Wow, that was odd how different the colors were! It’s like a bad dream...someone at the factory accidentally putting the wrong label on the bottle, ha ha! At least, I’ve worried about that. Maybe nobody else has. It turned out great though.
PLEASE READ I can’t stress this enough and girls never listen but I promise you if you plaster 40vol on your roots your lucky if your skin only blisters , some people’s scalp skin has melted to the point of having bald patches so DO NOT USE 40VOL ON ROOTS, my hair snapped of in the center part of my head thank fuck it’s not massively visible but I can feel the stubbly hairs trying to grow back , i would recommend COCONUT OIL massage it in your scalp to repair it leave it for a few hours then give it a good wash and treatment and minimise heat use!

Bandp Reeves a toner in blue would help but I would suggest bleaching again

Red pigment is the opposite of what you want. You want blue and violet to get a cool toned blonde
I remember this when my hairdresser did that to my hair, she said I had to use pink pigment. For good results 😊

most toners eventually turn purple it was most likely just sat out for longer

it balances out the yellow tone as they are opposite colours, so in theory the brassy tones should disappear, i hope this helps x
I think the wrong colour toner has gone into that bottle that just doesn't seem right, two purple and one brown?
I haven't got a hairdryer either - you'e not the only one lol!

So many people use really purple toners but it makes hair dull looking in my opinion
