Boy, that has got to be hard to get everything just right. I wish I could have seen how the guys moved and installed it when it was brand new. 🤠👍

Truly amazing view into the history and its knowledge foundation that got our world to where it is now.

Awesome progress, well done to you and the team (at least I hope there is a team). Moving giant stuff with porta-power is fascinating to watch but I do get why you don't record it.

Excellent work! I’m a bit concerned about the HP/LP separation. Yes, you have 19.5 ft apart at each end, but that could also describe a parallelogram, not a rectangle. It would be oh so much better if you could measure the diagonals (but I don’t know if that is possible).

There are two ways to check that. One by running a laser line down the face of a machined journal opening and projecting that line to the opposite opening. This checks to see if we are in the ballpark of being in alignment. The other way is to measure off of the piano wire to a point on the crankpin, then rotating the crank around to the back side and checking at that location. If the two measurements are the same then we are at 90 degrees.
