Had the fortune of driving a Polestar 2 for a few weeks as a rental car and I was absolutely blown away. Never previously had or drove an electric car so I was very pleased.
Hey I’m currently renting the polestar 2 as we speak ! It’s a one of a kind for sure , driving EV for the first time and I can say this car is very comfortable and smooth to drive .
Same price as a Model S for the Polestar 4 performance. Not sure why anyone would buy the slower Polestar with a far inferior charging network. Hell this thing is slower than my Model 3 Performance. Hard pass.

Lastly, and probably most importantly, the Polestar is more luxurious and certainly more special than the Model S. Not that the S is a bad option, but there are clear reasons for taking the Polestar 4 over it.
yeah but sofar sadly noone tries to make good EVs, i cant believe that companies that have been around for decades cant make a good EV, how come tesla as a young company makes the best ones, the safety, price, performance
I love that the Polestar 2 has its speedometer embedded inside the front console, its the only thing that im missing in the other polestar models not a fan of the speedometer not being embedded but aside that, its freaking amazing.

No rear window is a red flag, the rear window is not only to see what's happening at the back...it illuminates inside of the car and creates an open space. This design change reminds me of kitchens without windows...

Volvo/Polestar is single-handedly making the best looking cars of this entire decade. No manufacturer has better designers. Usually when a car comes that's absolutely gorgeous it only goes down from there, but Polestar managed to make the following generation even better looking. That said, modern cars have become vastly overcomplicated and expensive. I sold my last car half a decade ago and I'm never going back unless there are some radical changes to the value proposition. Can't drive them fast anywhere, they cost a fortune to own, and they require a ton of maintenance. I'd honestly rather take the train.
Man I've been seeing these cars here in Sydney and I've been wondering what the logo was. They look great in person. They stand out, despite still blending in. They only turn your head once you notice it. Great looking cars!

Looks nice but the thing that stands out to me is no physical switches for the heating controls in the front, these are amongst the most used in a car and should be able to be controlled without looking, just muscle memory, they should never be in a menu or just a touch screen. That small detail is enough to stop me aspiring to buy this car
Looks great! If this comes in at Tesla model 3 prices, has NACS charging and qualifies for the $7,500 tax credit, this is going to be a huge sales success!
This looks great, I'm really excited about and bullish on Polestar. I do have to point out that the center screen console looks remarkably similar to a pioneering electric sedan that really brought EVs to the mass market:)
Nice looking ride. Removing the rear window seems like a logical step for modern cars, considering the prevalence of panoramic roofs and external cameras. The rear window is a terrible backup aid most of the time anyways, compared to cameras, so I'd rather this space be available for actually useful things.

@@xalener No, I never gesture to folks behind me, and the only way to make the rear window even remotely equivalent to the rear camera, with regards to visibility, would be to remove the back seats and have a window that covers the entire rear of the car. I have never seen a car like that.
but what happens to the rear view camera when it rains? We saw this implemented on the cybertruck and it is awful in the rain. You can't see anything especially at night.

For example, in Norway it often happens that the snow that falls is slightly wet and in the morning at in the morning it is very frosty, so there will be a lot of ice on the rear camera that cannot be removed manually. Did the manufacturer remedy this somehow?
While the camera on the rear window is not heated, we've designed it with careful consideration for extreme weather conditions. It sits in an optimal high position and is placed in a camera house that protects it, letting air, dirt, snow and rain run over it.
Whatever product designer thought "fewest rear windows" was something people actually want should be fired immediately. It's an utterly dumb idea that makes me question if Polestar actually wants to sell cars.
When will they release the 2023 earnings report? Now the price is $0.70. The capital has been destroyed. Please do something to bring the price back above $1.

Why get rid of the rear window? It also brings in more light for the passengers in the back. The camera could have been added still
to move roof beam back, it actually invite more light to the back seats, you will understand if you sit in there

Not sure if charging from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes is something I'd highlight, but otherwise pretty nice overall.
