CRADLE MOUNTAIN SUMMIT - The best hike in Tasmania - Insane 360° views from the top! | Ep 9 |

- On this episode, we leave our Jeep at the car park, pack our hiking backpacks and tackle the #Cradle Mountain Summit!
Our hiking gear :
- LifeStraw Personal Water Filter : amzn.to/3deRpEn
- Garmin Explorer + : amzn.to/2IVolUA
- 2-Liter Ultralight Collapsible Water Bottle : amzn.to/33tcjeF
There are many different paths to get to the top, we chose to start from Dove Lake up to Lake Wilks and come back via Marion's lookout.
This hike is not recommended for beginners or people afraid of heights, there is some proper rock scrambling to reach the peak and we saw a few people turning back!
It is by far the best hike we've done in Tasmania, the landscapes surrounding us made us feel like we were in Iceland or Scotland!
This is sadly the last episode of our #Tasmania series, check out our playlist for our previous vlogs and stay tuned for our final Tasmania wrap up video coming soon!

Very well done. You captured rhe sublime beauty of Cradle Mountain, perfectly. Bravo! 👏🏻
for those viewers yet to visit tasmania please keep in mind that the use of drones in national parks is not permitted.
that said, great footage ;-)
I stumbled across you guys at the beginning of the unimog build. Thought i’d go back to the start. Been watching your tassie adventures last couple days, and watching this episode with the life straw. I tell you as kids we used to drink from vic high country rivers just straight from the bank. Dip in a cup and away you’d skull. Never had problems. I could understand for a dirty river or ash filled river from bush fire, but not the cradle mountain stream. Looked so clear and fresh. Either way, enjoying these older episodes. Also enjoying the Volvo build. Looking forward to the trip across europe.
Next time you are in Tas do the one day Mt Anne summit hike . Leaves Cradle in it's dolerite

what date was the hike?
We are planning to go to Cradle Mt next month. Just wondering is drone usage allowed in Tas national park or you have to apply for a license beforehand?
Drones defintely NOT allowed!!!
Hey, can you tell me the process you need to go through to have a drone at cradle? Thanks
Where's the nearest bathrooms on Cradle Mountain? Since the hike will be a few hours long from the summit and back.
imagine if strongest wind caught you well its time for you to say goodbye scary
Definitely not the best hike in Tassie, but pretty specky none the less.
