    I have a 2023 4Runner and we just purchased a small teardrop trailer. I saw that the rear was sagging little and searched for solutions. I came across your videos and it convinced me to purchase and install the same exact airbags. Now my 4Runner rides flat with no rearend sag. Thank you very much for your videos.

      @@Angelsword74 I’m glad I was able to help…I haven’t had any issues since I installed them on my Runner. Night and day difference when towing my trailer. When I’m not hauling my trailer I always deflate them to 5 psi..!!!
      Thank you for your comment 🙏🏽

    Thanks for making this video, I tow several times a year with my 4Runner and definitely going to be putting these spring bags on. Bye the way I usually average 10mpg when towing.

    My camping trailer weighs about 3000 pounds, and I carry maybe 300 pounds or so of gear in the back. I get about 15 mpg when I tow, but I am in Florida so I am probably driving on flatter land then you. Thanks for the video, I have massive sag on my 4runner when the trailer is hooked up, been thinking about installing an airlift. Your video helped convince me.

    I highly recommend shutting off your engine if your head is going to be a few inches from the end of the exhaust pipe. You almost died.

    Going out of the valley is always bad to the mountains is terrible when towing. I have a Toyota Sequoia and when going up some of the hills with our trailer it drops down to 4-5, but we get around 10-12 mpg average if I keep it around 65. Go 75 or 80 and it starts dropping really quick

      Wow 4-5 mpg huh…I guess it is what it is if we want to get away from the city for the weekend right.!!

    How do these affect the suspension flex when off-road?

    • @SpinningwrencheswithJ
      @SpinningwrencheswithJ  Місяць тому

      @@XploreAz these airbags are not designed for off-road use, you need all the flexibility as you can get when you take your vehicle off road.. These are designed to help your vehicle stay level and keeping the trailer from swaying all over the road as much as possible when hauling a heavy load . They do help a lot. I love these things 100% recommend.

      @@SpinningwrencheswithJI understand that. I meant do they impede your suspension in any way when off-road. Obviously they would be aired down.

      @XploreAz I get it…..to answer your question
      Once they’re deflated you can’t even tell they’re inside the coils, the suspension behaves like normal.!!!

    It looks like you were heading North on I-17, so heading up an incline with that trailer. I'd say 9.3 mpg is about right, especially with what looks like 285's? What is the loaded weight of that trailer? Glad the air lift helped.

      You’re right I was going to flagstaff…dry weight on the trailer is 1900 pounds..and completely full about 2800 pounds….Thank you for your comment.!

    I'm still setting my 2020 4Runner up for towing. I don't have a trailer yet.
    I installed a Red Arc brake controller and a Magnuson supercharger.
    I plan on getting some sort of air bags for the back. Still researching
    I'll be interested in your long term opinion of your air bag system

    Hey man, I am in Phoenix and am about to put helper bags on my 18 Runner. Would you want to connect to help out? I just towed a new trailer to Show Low, averaged about 10mpg there, about 16mpg home. Thanks for the videos!

    I bought a set and I see some guys don’t cut off the whole bump stop like you did and like it says in the directions. Do the bags inflate big enough if you cut the whole bump stop off like it says to do? Thank you.

    • @SpinningwrencheswithJ
      @SpinningwrencheswithJ  3 місяці тому +1

      Thank you for your comment, yes yes get in the way when the bags are fully inflated also the air line might get damaged. And lastly the bump stop becomes useless after installing the airbags!

    Do these air bags apply lift to the rear like old school air shocks, or just help prevent squat?

    • @SpinningwrencheswithJ
      @SpinningwrencheswithJ  4 місяці тому +1

      What these bags do is they prevent the rear end of the truck squat down when towing they also make the ride a little stiffer on the highway.
