One of the things i realized of things to never do BEFORE a dive is never eat anything acidic because during a dive if you burp you might choke and die that happned to me and I was at 45 meters almost died
I am a 45yr old disabled vet as well, sir. I've selected a dive school with an excellent record and comprehensive training program. One of the lead instructors is in his early 70s. He and his wife still do around 300-500 dives per year. That gives me great hope that I've not started this adventure "too late in life".
Hey I'm 59 and I'm still diving .going to do my instructor course asap and hopefully teach in my retirement.money wouldn't be an issue for me as I've made arrangements for a good pension but as I love the sport it'll be just beer money if I earn anything from it. From what I gather Scuba isn't a great money spinner and your not gonna get rich from teaching.Itll be good just to able to give my knowledge to new guys and dolls to enjoy the sport as much as I do
Exercise. I’m an avid gym goer. You shouldn’t hit the gym after a dive. Go before the dive or ensure you’ve had an extended surface interval before going to the gym.
Disappointed to hear no jacuzzi after a dive. One of my favorite things to do. Another fav of mine is eating chicken pho after a cold water Puget Sound dive.
Guess I"m throwing the stats off...started scuba diving at 56-kids college paid for time for some Mom fun!!! I find I have improved my lung function(didn't have any problems) and other physical benefits. It was a much needed active recreation.
At 57 I got both my scuba and freediving certificafion. I'm almost always the eldest diving person on the dive boat and specially that can do both discipline.
Mark Decompressing is Off Gassing, massages etc do not excelerate your decompression, but we know what you mean. Yes it dangerous as it can push nitrogen bubbles out of fat and tissue into the blood stream etc.
Great videos - seen most of your videos on all channels. But, that one soundeffect used in between sections are to loud. Especially wearing earphones, its simply to loud. Just a reminder for ajusting in future videos. A small thing but with an impct ;-) Otherwise keep up your great work on all things scuba!
“Wasting their money on houses kids and stuff” and that’s the exact reason I won’t have Kids and I live in a van down by the river but hey all my money goes to scuba diving hence why I (not to brag) have some of the nicer kit in our group. Minimum bills=maximum fun lol I’ve spent well over 5 grand on scuba diving kit since august of 2020 when I got certified 😂just bought the big blue TL 3500 lumen light and Goodman handle RIGHT after I bought the scuba pro g2 with transmitter 😂I think I like scuba diving so much cuz it fits both the adrenaline rush from doing dangerous things AND spending large sums of money in one go 😂I struggle to spend 5 dollars on something non scuba related but I’ll drop 5-600 dollars faster than you can blink on scuba diving gear and it’s zero hesitation😂 is anyone else like this ? #askmark

@@prague5419 Thank you for your service.
Where are you located? If you're in the states, check out the Dive Pirates Foundation. You'll be surprised what they might have to offer you!
I hope it went well.

First person in the comments that says “no drinking after a dive” is gonna need stitches.

Same here. In my 50’s when I was certified.
51 when I did my OW.
Will be 52 when I take my AOW .
Can't wait for restrictions to lift and I can dive

Well, I've wondered if you could take a roller coaster ride after a scuba dive.

Well yeah. The same would happen to any U.K. based company. We are in lockdown. Dive shops aren’t open
I disagree
Do your part to take money from corrupt politicians; commit felony tax evasion 👍
A massage is the best after a dive pushes the stuck air in the muscle cells right out thats what dr Anthony fauci said
He didn’t though did he. As he wouldn’t comment on the matter as it’s not his area
Goofy video.
