    After a dive I drive to the base, store away costumers stuff, drink water, log my dives and log the costumers dive. And after that I drink a cold one in the evening 😊🤙 Save Diving ya‘ll

      Why do I get this feeling Divemaster = Donkey..... we carry loads , wash gear for everyone and there's always a dangling carrot to prod us on " You're very important to the dive" till the dive is done .... Times I wish I moved on to Instructor though being a Divemaster is way more exciting .

    Hello. I just signed up with a PADI OW Class. Already Finished Pool Sessions. Waiting for OW Part 2. My Instructor had us Pressurize the Regs, BCD. Close the Tank Valve and Purge. Then lay the Kit on its side. He didn't have us do anything with the Log Book. I'm guessing Part 2 Open Water session??

    I have just bumped into commercial diving on accident, I have never dived in my life. But I am hoping to go to DIT in Seattle to learn. I am very nervous and excited. Any tips from some pros, or solid divers?

    • @seikibrian8641
      @seikibrian8641 2 роки тому +2

      DIT is a highly-rated school, although they have been criticized in the past for overselling the income potential of commercial diving to prospective students. As long as you go in with realistic expectations and don't think you'll be making a six-figure income right out of the gate you'll do well.
      P.S. I see your comment is a year old. Any progress report?

    Yes good points you raised.
    Why do diving instructor s and dive master's. Suddenly all leave at once and stop diving both with the agency club and shot. Some even stop altogether and are never heard of again. After dedicating all this time and effort and resources to diving. As student divers once qualified everything stops and no further diving takes place unless they take another dive course.

      Kurt Steiner what do you mean by that exactly?

      @@diveinstructordaniel1095
      Yes Daniel I learned to dive firstly with the British Navy. After a break of 20 years. I dived with a local PADI centre after open water and advanced. I noticed several dM's and instructors just disappeared. Never to be seen again and no longer a member of PADI.
      This has been the case several times but mostly with PADI not as far as I know with SSI or BSAC.
      They are there for awhile then they all go, and no one sees them again. Was trying to contact one as they did not complete the paper work on my rescue divers course, wanted to know why and how to sort it out. But nowhere to be found. Even the dive centre closed all of a sudden a few years ago they told no-one about this.

    • @diveinstructordaniel1095
      @diveinstructordaniel1095 3 роки тому +1

      Kurt Steiner never heard of something like that but interesting. Maybe they switched the organization? Maybe they had some problems in their shop? If you remember the names you can contact padi directly.

    Do you recommed IV for rehidraytation? after diving?

    • @seikibrian8641
      @seikibrian8641 2 роки тому +2

      Unless you're vomiting and/or have diarrhea or something, an IV is overkill. Just sip on some water or Gatorade or something. Every time you break the skin you risk infection, and an IV can also cause issue like infiltration. Don't do it unless you really need it.

    • @bloodymarvelous4790
      @bloodymarvelous4790 2 роки тому

      I would recommend an enema over IV. Much more enjoyable.

    So would it bad to drive up a mountain and hike then the next day dive?

    • @seikibrian8641
      @seikibrian8641 2 роки тому

      No. Doing it the other way is bad, because you will have built up nitrogen in your tissues while at depth. But doing it the other way -- going up the mountain BEFORE diving -- poses no risk.
