Mythical Pokémon are never legal in VGC, not even on years when you can choose two restricted Pokémon for your team; they're a completely different class (and generally one that has to do with availability more than power level).

I think max SpA and Speed Timid Scarfed Spectrier will be great to bring in the back. Bring him in on weakened opponent, pick up a KO with ease and get an instant boost to SpA to build momentum and sweep from there. Also, while the defenses are lacking the HP is not, so he’s a great candidate for Maxing.
I went ghost, I know there are others if the typing but I just like that version better. I really enjoying the crown tundra, cool story and I love this new poke

Calyrex Ice Rider with an Impish (or Relaxed nature for TR) with max att/def evs holding an Assault Vest has 3 stats well over 400 at lvl100. Oh, and it can use Body Press too.
When I first saw that regular Calyrex had Phione's stats (except for that 100 base HP), I wondered why it would become a restricted Mon. Then I saw the fused forms and everything made sense. I'm not sure if the Megas and Z-moves will come back or not, but if they do, Ghost Rider Calyrex will definitely be Ultra-Necrozma's bane. I plan on going for a Focus Sash Timid Spectrier. Moveset im thinking: Shadow Ball Nasty Plot Dark Pulse/Snarl and Mud Shot. His speed is so high, as long as you have good support I can totally see this dude wiping teams.
Shadow rider seems like a godlike doubles mon with speed swapping like a ninjask as a last case scenario if your opponent’s team is like toxapex and ferrothorn
Resetting for the 0 speed iv is really annoying with ice horsey. When you catch the calyrax / horse fusion, the speed is based of of the iv's from calyrax, you can only see the horse iv's after capturing and seperating the 2.
Wolfey should consider doing a video over how viable the new regis will be. I think with regidragos enormous base 200hp in a dynamax format makes him a potential threat, and a base 200 speed regieleki who has access to a stab volt switch could be scary especially since both Pokémon have a respectable base 100 attack and sp. attack
Dusclops + Glastrier is gonna be pretty boss. Trick room into self brick-break for weakness policy. Lots of OHKO's ensure. Ally switch to mind game your opponent. @Beefenne LiBre when using an electric move with specs it’s special attack becomes in the 700s. So no you would be extremely incorrect. It gets a higher attacking stat than base 150s with boosting nature and their respective choice item when it’s using an electric type move with specs or band
As far as power level goes, I would probably put them like this: Base Calyrex < Spectrier < Glastier < Ice rider < Shadow Rider. Because the Fusion uses Calyrex's nature/ivs, it might be best to get one with a Timid nature. Calyrex and Spectrier are too weak on their own unlike Glastrier which can certainly hold it's own. Sadly Glastrier can't learn trick room, so Ice rider might be worth it just for that alone. Depending on which horse to choose, if you don't have access to trading I suggest Glastrier because both the Fusion and base form are solid. But if you're always going to use the Fusion then maybe choose Spectrier for the long run, also you wouldn't have to waste time training up Spectrier this way because it's just essentially fusion fodder at that point.
